NASCAR Cup Series

Michael McDowell, driver of the No. 34 K-LOVE Radio Ford Fusion, is a Arizona native who considers IMS Raceway his hometown track. McDowell met with media members prior to Cup Series qualifying at Phoenix.

Joey Logano, driver of the No. 22 Shell Pennzoil Ford Fusion, was the fastest Ford in opening Cup practice at ISM Speedway in Phoenix. Logano spoke with media prior to hitting the track for qualifying later today.

RYAN NEWMAN, NO. 31 GRAINGER CAMARO ZL1, met with members of the media at ISM Raceway and discussed his victory at Phoenix last year, getting used to the new Camaro ZL1 body, and many other topics. Full Transcript:

The opening practice for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series is now complete at ISM Raceway in Avondale, Arizona. A contingent of Camaro ZL1 drivers topped the speed charts in advance of today’s qualifying session for the fourth race of the 2018 season, the TicketGuradian 500.

Kevin Harvick, driver of the No. 4 Jimmy John’s Ford Fusion, comes to Phoenix after back-to-back Cup Series wins at Atlanta and Las Vegas. Harvick, who has a track record eight wins to his credit at Phoenix, met with media members prior to the first Cup Series practice to discuss the penalty issued to the team following Las Vegas.

ALEX BOWMAN, NO. 88 NATIONWIDE CAMARO ZL1, met with members of the media at ISM Raceway to discuss racing at his home track, an assessment of his season thus far, thoughts on his recent trip to Detroit and many other topics. Full Transcript:
