Kurt Busch, driver of the No. 41 Ford, returns to his hometown looking for a race win that he would rank among the top-five on his list. Busch talked about his early season success and how much getting to victory lane on Sunday would mean to him.

Ryan Blaney, driver of the No. 12 Menards/Pennzoil Ford Fusion, met with media members at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Friday morning to announce a new partnership with Body Armor and also discuss his start to the 2018 season and his outlook for this weekend’s race and the West Coast swing.

KYLE LARSON, NO. 42 CREDIT ONE BANK CAMARO ZL1, met with members of the media at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and discussed testing at Vegas in January, his thoughts on the importance of the West Coast swing and many other topics. Full Transcript:

Team Penske announced today that BODYARMOR Sports Drink will be featured as the primary sponsor on the No. 12 Ford Fusion driven by Ryan Blaney for the NASCAR Cup Series race at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, July 7. This marks the first-ever race team partnership for BODYARMOR, which began working with Blaney last season.

In the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, the race-winning team of the No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford driven by veteran Kevin Harvick had one unsecured lug nut in post-race inspection. Crew chief Rodney Childers was fined $10,000 for the safety violation. No further fines or suspensions were placed on the team.

Paul Menard and the No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane team are heading to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for Sunday’s Pennzoil 400 with an optimistic air about the team.

The general consensus is that Atlanta was a boring race. I disagree. Let me share as to why. There is no debate that Kevin Harvick had the best car, that based on performance his was the auto that should have won. However, when drama was needed we had weather and strategy apparently conspiring to beat him. Would it rain? Would Denny Hamlin be in front at the right time when the heavens opened up?

Where Truex’ Championship Campaign Began… It was evident 2017 was Toyota driver Martin Truex Jr. and Furniture Row Racing’s season as they dominated Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) competition en route to the championship. The No. 78 Camry team quickly mastered the new stage racing format, becoming the first – and only – team to win both stages and capture the checkered flag in the same event, which they did at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS) last March, and again at Kentucky Speedway in July. As last year’s MENCS champion, Truex had more victories (eight), stage wins (19) and stage points (440) than any other driver in the garage and it all began with a win at the 1.5-mile Las Vegas track.
