Atlanta Motor Speedway presented Chase Elliott with one final lucky charm Friday. Elliott, back in the No. 9 car his father, Bill, made famous, was handed a University of Georgia football jersey with his name and number on the back.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. finds himself on top of the Monster Energy Cup leaderboard in Friday’s opening practice at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Larson, Wallace, Ty Dillon and Bowman round out the top-5.

We didn’t really do much. You just do your typical debriefs, but it’s nice to be home after 10 days of being in Daytona, and the weather was pretty nice in North Carolina too, which was that much better. I’m excited to get back to the race track. It’s always nice to have a little bit of down time from the 10 days you’re down in Daytona, but you’re ready to get back to the race track and this place is awesome. We’re slipping and sliding and it’s just a fun place to come. We struggled a little bit today in qualifying trim, but hopefully we can get a little bit better, but it’s nice to be back and nice to get the season started to roll.”

The sponsorship featuring the LLumar® brand of window film and paint protection film was announced today at Eastman’s Elite Dealer Conference in San Diego.

After a ten-day swing to Florida for the Can-Am Duels and Daytona 500, the Go Fas Racing team heads to Atlanta Motor Speedway for the second race of the NASCAR regular season. Last season, DiBenedetto and the No.32 team caught the attention of most of the NASCAR garage and media when he qualified the No.32 Can-Am Ford 13th in the first round of qualifying and ended up 22nd in the second round. With much of 2017's team returning this season, the team hopes to see similar results this weekend.

With only 36 cars entered for this weekend's Monster Energy Cup race at Atlanta, Harrison Rhodes will make his debut in NASCAR's top-level series. The XFINITY Series veteran will pilot the Rick Ware Racing (RWR) No. 51 Chevrolet Camaro ZR1 chartered car in the second Cup Series race of the season.
