In year four of its award-winning throwback platform, Darlington Raceway will be celebrating “Seven Decades of NASCAR” for its 2018 campaign.

When the 33rd annual Pioneer Pole Buildings fueled by Sunoco & distributed by Insinger Performance show takes place January 19-21 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, Pa the Pocono Raceway will be an even bigger part of the show.

Richard Childress Racing (RCR) and Caterpillar Inc. have renewed their overall partnership and sponsorship of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series No. 31 Chevrolet Camaro team, and will use the platform for the introduction of new digital and social content campaigns.

Richard Childress Racing (RCR) today announced plans to continue its partnership with Bass Pro Shops during the 2018 racing season. Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's will serve as a primary sponsor for the No. 31 Chevrolet Camaro in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and the No. 3 Chevrolet Camaro in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. The partnership marks the first time both iconic outdoor brands will be featured together since Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's joined forces in September 2017 to establish North America's premier outdoor and conservation company.

NASCAR fans get a double-dose of racing action to open the 2018 season on Sunday, February 11, with The Advance Auto Parts Clash at Daytona International Speedway capping a day that starts with Coors Light Pole Award qualifying for the 60th Annual Daytona 500.

It’s not the way that an athlete wants to get a chance to shine, but sometimes someone’s misfortune the can turn into someone else’s opportunity of a lifetime (see Tom Brady). But that’s exactly what happened to Darrell “Bubba” Watson this past NASCAR season when Richard Petty Motorsports needed a substitute driver to replace the injured Aric Almirola for an extended period of time.

Richard Petty Motorsports (RPM) and Richard Childress Racing (RCR) announced today a new partnership between the two organizations. RCR will supply chassis and engineering support to the team. The RPM entry will receive horsepower from ECR Engines, the high-performance engine production, research and development subsidiary of RCR. With the transition, RPM will permanently move its team headquarters adjacent to the RCR campus in Welcome, N.C. The move will begin immediately and be completed by January.

The 2017 season was an impressive season for Michael McDowell and the No. 95 team. The No. 95 team earned a total of twenty-five top-25 finishes and one top-5 at Daytona in July.

Trevor Bayne’s AdvoCare Ford Fusion will sport a different look when it hits the track to begin the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) season as the famed Roush Fenway Racing No. 6 will be sporting the primary color of black.

My NASCAR writing journey began nine years ago when my daughter went away to college.  As an only child, she decided I would be very lonely without her.  She saw an ad for NASCAR writers on a then new website called Bleacher Report.  So, she signed me up and off I went writing all sorts of posts, some of which were really awful and some of which were only semi-awful.  But it was great fun and I met some wonderful writers, editors, and photographers, many who have become lifetime friends.
