The final race in the Round of 8 takes place on Sunday at Phoenix International Raceway with one spot in the Championship 4 still up for grabs. Ford’s Kevin Harvick secured one spot with his victory last weekend at Texas Motor Speedway, but Brad Keselowski and Ryan Blaney are both still in the hunt. Here’s a look at each driver’s situation, along with some of Ford’s past successes at PIR.

1. Martin Truex Jr.: Truex finished second in the AAA 500 and clinched a spot in the Chase final four at Homestead. "The pressure is on for five drivers looking for that final spot," Truex said. "I'm just glad I can sit back and relax, and watch frustration boil over for other drivers. So, while they're going 'postal,' I'll be going 'coast-al.'"

While Martin Truex Jr. didn't win the AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway, his runner-up finish -- and points he amassed through the course of the day, via stage finishes -- secured him a spot in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Championship 4 race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

FORT WORTH, Texas (Nov. 5, 2017) – Trevor Bayne, driver of the No. 6 AdvoCare Ford Fusion, finished in the 28th position in Sunday afternoon’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series event at Texas Motor Speedway as a result of an unscheduled pit stop due to damage sustained following a Lap 245 restart.

RODNEY CHILDERS: First, I was wondering if I look goofy (laughter). I told Claire I see the pictures from Victory Lane and Chad always looked goofy with his hat on. I was wondering if I did, too. Overall, it's just a great weekend. In all honesty, we've had good speed lately. We probably could have won a few races here lately. Just didn't do our jobs, whether we made a mistake on pit road, different things. But we had a good car at Chicago, we had a good car at Dover, a good car at Kansas.
