Toyota NASCAR Darlington – CTMP Advance

Camry Wins at Darlington: Toyota has won two-straight Southern 500s at Darlington Raceway and three of the last four with victories by Matt Kenseth (2013), former Camry driver Carl Edwards (2015) and defending race winner Martin Truex Jr. (2016). Toyota has five total Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) wins at Darlington with Kyle Busch claiming the Camry’s first Cup win at the historic track in 2008 and Denny Hamlin winning at the track in 2010. In the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS), Camry drivers have six victories at Darlington, including two by Hamlin, who has four total NXS wins at the 1.366-mile track, and will pilot the No. 18 Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing in South Carolina. With nine starts at the track and nine top-10 results, Hamlin has the highest average Darlington finish among active NXS drivers (2.8).

CHEVY MENCS AT DARLINGTON: Team Chevy Advance

With only two races remaining until the 2017 Playoffs begin, Chevrolet has five drivers (Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Larson, Ryan Newman, Austin Dillon and Kasey Kahne) locked into the first round of the championship contest. Chevy drivers Chase Elliott and Jamie McMurray are currently in points positions that could earn them a slot into the post season, but a race win at Darlington or Richmond would assure their participation as championship contenders.

Credit One Bank to Honor Chip Ganassi Racing Co-Owner Felix Sabates with Throwback to SABCO Racing

Chip Ganassi Racing (CGR) revealed yesterday the throwback paint scheme on the No. 42 Credit One Bank Chevrolet SS, driven by Kyle Larson, for the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway. The paint scheme will honor current CGR co-owner Felix Sabates. Credit One Bank will turn back the clock to 1995, and feature a scheme that was raced by Kyle Petty while driving at SABCO Racing for Sabates. The original design has been updated to include the Credit One Bank logo on the hood and quarter panel, but otherwise remains intact from when Petty was behind the wheel.

MENARDS TO SPONSOR TEAM PENSKE AND BLANEY FOR 14 RACES IN 2018

Team Penske and Menards announced today that the industry-leading home improvement store company will sponsor driver Ryan Blaney and the No. 12 Ford Fusion for 14 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) races in 2018. The partnership follows the recent announcement that Blaney will race a third Team Penske entry in the Cup Series beginning next season.  Menards will also be a sponsor on the No. 21 Wood Brothers Racing entry, which will be driven by Paul Menard, starting next season.
