Greg Biffle will honor the late Alan Kulwicki by running a Hooters throwback scheme in the famed Southern 500 at Darlington Speedway on Sunday, September 4th. In addition to honoring the 1992 Winston Cup Champion, Biffle and Hooters have teamed up to help petition congress to recognize our local and national heroes who risk their lives on a daily basis by creating a National First Responders Day.

Stenhouse has seven NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) starts at Michigan International Speedway with an average starting position of 21.3 and average finishing position of 22.4.

Ford Motor Co. has won half of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series events run at Michigan International Speedway (47-of-94), which includes 35 wins by Ford and 12 under the Mercury banner. In addition, it was the site of Ford’s 1000th NASCAR triumph in 2013.

The car will pay tribute to Jeffrey Earnhardt's grandfather Dale Earnhardt with a design that combines the No. 3 and No. 2 driven by Dale Earnhardt in 1981, on his way to earning 17 top-ten finishes and nine top five's, including a sixth place finish in the Southern 500 at Darlington.

However, Bristol did bring good tidings to some. It was great for Kevin Harvick, as he won his second of the season in a dominant performance to once again vault ahead of them all in points. While wins determine who is ahead of whom, as it should, accumulated points is an indicator as to who has been in contention all season long. Harvick has been one of those guys.

If you are a fan of auto racing, you might be wondering whether or not racing would be a sport that fits in at the Olympics. After all, if equestrian dressage is classed as an Olympic sport, there’s no reason why racing couldn’t be, either.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. drove his Bryan Clauson Fastenal tribute Ford to a second-place finish after overcoming a two-lap deficit and a speeding penalty on pit road. The second-place finish tied his career best finish of second at Bristol in 2014.

The Bristol race weekend proved all around eventful for Greg Biffle in the No. 16 Ford EcoBoost Ford. A spin in practice was followed up by a spin in qualifying, leaving Biffle with a 34th-place starting position. With a little pit strategy and a fast Ford, Biffle cracked the top 10 in the rain delayed night-race turned day-race but in the end Biffle was shuffled back to cross the finish line 16th.

Recap: Brad Keselowski was running up front in Sunday’s rain-delayed NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway before getting caught up in an accident, eventually coming home in the 33rd position.
