The driver of the No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota edged out the No. 78 Furniture Row Racing Toyota of Martin Truex Jr. by 11 one-thousanths of a second to win the 58th running of the Great American Race.

GREG BIFFLE – No. 16 KFC Ford Fusion – “It was a pretty rough day for us. We got a flat trying to make the outside groove push to the front and couldn’t get our lap back and then later the 10 came across our nose there. It was unfortunate but it happens. I don’t know if she was trying to block me or didn’t know I was there but it happens. Tough day for sure. I am proud of my guys for all their work this week. We had a pretty good week minus these issues today.”

Dale Earnhardt Jr. topped the chart for the final practice session before the big race tomorrow. The driver of the No. 88 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet was the fastest in the final Daytona 500 practice session with a time of 45.655 and a speed of 197.131 mph.

NASCAR released rule changes to the 2016 member conduct guidelines Friday night in an effort to clarify infractions and their corresponding penalties.

Ryan Blaney, driver of the No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Fusion, was the fastest Ford in today’s second practice session at Daytona International Speedway. Blaney, who was sixth overall, drafted with Joey Logano and Trevor Bayne for 10 laps before calling it a day.

Ty Dillon avoided catastrophe in the final laps of Duel No. 2 Thursday night at Daytona International Speedway and drove the No. 95 Cheerios/Kroger Chevrolet SS to a fifth-place finish. Dillon was racing outside the top ten when the "big one" happened, but he dove low on the race track and missed having his car damaged. The fifth place finish qualified Dillon 12th for the 58th running of the Daytona 500 this Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
