Martin Truex, Jr., driver of the No.19 Bass Pro Shops/TRACKER Boats and ATVs Toyota Camry, hit the jackpot at Vegas by winning the opening playoff race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS) Sunday, September 15. Truex conquered the 1.5-mile speedway to win the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series South Point 400. The 2017 champion has won the opening race of the playoffs three of the last four seasons. This is his seventh playoff appearance.

Paul Menard will retire from full-time racing in 2020, opening the door for the undaunted Matt DiBenedetto to take over the No. 21 Ford in the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series.

Wood Brothers Racing, the oldest active NASCAR team and one of the winningest teams in series history, announced today that driver Paul Menard will transition from full-time Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) racing after the 2019 season. Matt DiBenedetto will join the team next season and will race the iconic No. 21 Ford Mustang beginning in 2020.

Dale Earnhardt Jr., wife Amy and daughter Isla were safe and taken to a hospital for evaluation following a plane crash on Thursday afternoon in Elizabethton, Tennessee, Earnhardt’s sister, Kelley Earnhardt Miller, confirmed via Twitter.

David Ragan and Front Row Motorsports announced today that Ragan will step away from full-time NASCAR competition after this season. Ragan will continue to race on a part-time basis in NASCAR and other series at his desire.
