Talladega Superspeedway Preview: The Series returns to the “Biggest and Fastest” track in NASCAR, Talladega Superspeedway, for Sunday’s 500-mile race. Coming off a fifth-place finish at Dover, Hamlin looks to add his second career victory at the track and score his team’s fifth win of the 2019 season.

Roush Fenway takes its pair of Fords to Sweet Home Alabama this weekend as the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) heads to Talladega Superspeedway. RFR has eight wins all-time at Talladega including the most recent by Ricky Stenhouse Jr., in 2017.

The two-time Xfinity champion has 12 career Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) starts at Talladega with an average finishing position of 11.8.

Newman will make his 36th Cup start at Talladega on Sunday. In 35 prior races, Newman has an average finish of 19.2 with 14 top-10s and six top-fives.

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series are in action this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway as the playoffs reach the halfway point.  Ford had its seven-race MENCS winning streak at the track snapped last spring, but comes into the weekend having won five straight Talladega playoff events.  Here’s a look at where Ford stands in both series, along with some of those key wins from past seasons.
