In what is a rare off weekend for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS), the Roush Fenway Xfinity teams head north to Sheboygan, Wisconsin, for their third road course race in four weeks. RFR will field three cars in Saturday afternoon’s race, highlighted by Lilly Diabetes as the primary partner on all three. RFR has 21 starts in the Xfinity Series at the track all-time, with one win coming back in the very first start there with Carl Edwards in 2010.

Majeski made his first career start at Road America earlier this month in the IMSA series where he finished 14th. Majeski will drive the No. 60 Lilly Diabetes Ford Saturday for his first Xfinity Series start at the Wisconsin track.

“I’ve had a lot of experience at Road America in the past.  I’ve won there in Skip Barber National Championship, won there in Pro Mazda and been on the podium there in sports cars.  I’ve had good runs there in IndyCar as well."

Reed has competed at Road America four times in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. In those four starts, Reed has one top-five and one top-10 finish.

Richard Childress Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series at Road America ... In 24 Series starts at the 4.7-mile road course, RCR has captured three victories with drivers Brendan Gaughan (2014), Paul Menard (2015) and Michael McDowell (2016). RCR has accumulated seven top-five finishes, nine top-10 finishes, led 62 laps and averages a starting position of 12.7 and finishing position of 12.9. The Welcome, North Carolina, organization has completed 1,162 laps of the 1,176 (98.8 percent) that they have competed.

As the 300-lap race went green, the 19-year-old fell to 23rd, two laps down to the race leaders while battling a very loose Mustang, a condition he would fight the entire night. On lap 70 the race saw its first caution. Crew chief Matt Swiderski elected to keep Cindric on track in order to take the wave-around and allow the rookie to battle for the lucky dog. By the end of Stage 1, Cindric would race his way to the 20th position.

Matt Tifft Earns First Top-10 Finish at Bristol Motor Speedway in No. 2 Nexteer Automotive Chevrolet "My team worked so hard all weekend long on our No. 2 Nexteer Automotive Chevrolet. We lacked a lot of front turn on Thursday during practice, and we had to make some major changes to it. It handled a lot better during qualifying, which showed when we started fifth, our second top-five starting spot in two weeks."

Camry driver Christopher Bell (second) was the highest-finishing Toyota driver in Friday night’s NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) event at Bristol Motor Speedway.

CHASE BRISCOE, No. 60 Ford Mustang – “I just got racing with the 4 really hard. I’m all for hard racing, but it’s just frustrating when he lets four guys in a row go. We were faster than him and just kept hitting on him and hitting on him. He flipped me off a couple of times and then I just kept trying to pass him on the inside. I could never clear him and I just got tight underneath him and drove up the race track a little bit and got my right-front up into him and spun out and hit the inside wall. It’s definitely frustrating. I hate it for all the 60 guys. They’ve had to work on a lot of race cars this year. I felt like we had decent speed tonight and maybe could have contended for a top-10, but the day got cut short.”

There is nothing like a night race at Bristol Motor Speedway and the Food City 300 was no exception. It was action-packed, start to finish, with beating and banging for every position. The one thing that stayed the same was Kyle Larson.
