NASCAR O'Reilly Series

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series is off this weekend. NASCAR Xfinity Series will be at Road America and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will be at Canadian Tire. Check out the full schedule below, which is subject to change.

Chip Ganassi Racing (CGR) announced today that NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) regular Ross Chastain will make three starts behind the wheel of the No. 42 DC Solar Chevrolet Camaro SS in the NXS, beginning with Darlington Raceway, on Saturday, Sept. 1. Chastain will also compete in NXS races at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (Sept. 15) and Richmond International Raceway (Sept. 21).

NASCAR announced several rules for the 2019 NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series aimed at strengthening both the competition on the race track and the identity of each series.

“I am excited to head to Canada. I am anticipating that we will do well at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. I’ve been working with Ron Fellows and a couple other people in anticipation of this weekend’s race. I’ll use those notes and simulator time, and I am excited to know when I show up this year I will be better prepared. Last year, I would over drive my corners and just never really got a good feel for the track. My focus this year will to be smoother this time around and find a good rhythm.”

With two regular season races remaining to set the 16-driver Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Playoff field, four more drivers assured themselves a postseason berth following last Saturday night’s Bristol Motor Speedway night race.

Ty Majeski heads to his home state of Wisconsin with a special name across the passenger side of his No. 60 Lilly Diabetes Ford for the NASCAR Xfinity race at Road America. Majeski’s Grandfather, Dave Romberg, will be riding along with him at Road America. Romberg has played a special role in Majeski’s life and racing career and he has a special tie to the car this weekend that extends beyond his name on the door. Ty’s Grandfather has type 2 diabetes and is one of the over 30 million people in the US living with diabetes.

Elliott and the No. 23 team will utilize chassis no. 214; This chassis was raced this year at Watkins Glen by AJ Allmendinger (Start: 4th/Finish: 2nd).

Elliott Sadler will clinch a spot in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs by earning just 10 points in Saturday afternoon’s event at Road America.

About the No. 76 Camaro: SS Greenlight Racing will bring chassis 701 to Road America this weekend for the Johnsonville 180. Spencer Boyd ran this chassis previously at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and finished in the 25th position.

In what is a rare off weekend for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS), the Roush Fenway Xfinity teams head north to Sheboygan, Wisconsin, for their third road course race in four weeks. RFR will field three cars in Saturday afternoon’s race, highlighted by Lilly Diabetes as the primary partner on all three. RFR has 21 starts in the Xfinity Series at the track all-time, with one win coming back in the very first start there with Carl Edwards in 2010.
