The NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) Chase ‘Round of 8’ kicks off Saturday afternoon at Kansas Speedway. Roush Fenway Racing driver Ryan Reed, driver of the No. 16 Lilly Diabetes/American Diabetes Association Ford Mustang, solidly made it past the first cutoff round of the inaugural NXS Chase last weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Roush Fenway Racing returns to the land of Oz this weekend as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) heads back to Kansas Speedway, a track that has seen a Roush Fenway Ford visit victory lane nine times across NASCAR’s three major touring series.

NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) driver Ray Black Jr. and his SS Green Light Racing team will be heading back to Kansas Speedway this weekend, as the series looks to wrap up its 16 straight race stretch. The driver of the No. 07 ScubaLife.com Chevrolet Camaro is looking forward to returning the 1.5-mile track, as he has only raced there once before in his NASCAR national touring series career.

Wallace finished in the 20th positon in the rain-postponed NASCAR XFINITY Series event at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday afternoon after sustaining damage to the nose of the Leidos Mustang on the opening lap of the event.

Ryan Reed will make his third NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Kansas Speedway this weekend. In his two previous starts at the 1.5-mile track, Reed’s best finish of 12th came in 2014. In this event last season, Reed started and finished 17th.

Ryan Reed and the No. 16 Lilly Diabetes/American Diabetes Association team earned a top-15 finish on Sunday afternoon at Charlotte Motor Speedway. With the result, Reed and team advance to the next round of the NASCAR XFINITY Series Chase.

“We made the Round of 8, which is really good, but that was a tough day. I’m glad we could make the most of it and move on, but we’ve got work to do over at Roush Fenway. It’s good to see a Ford in victory lane. I’m happy for Joey and the Penske guys, but we’ve got some work to do before Kansas.”

The second race of Joey Logano’s Sunday at Charlotte Motor Speedwaywas his best, as the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup contender strapped in for 300 miles of NASCAR XFINITY Series racing and drove to victory in the Drive for the Cure 300 presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina after a spirited battle with fellow Sprint Cup Series driver Kyle Larson.

With rain in the area and a significantly more promising Sunday forecast, Saturday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway has been moved to Sunday at 12 p.m. Gates will open Sunday at 9 a.m. with the Drive for the Cure 300 presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina NASCAR XFINITY Series race scheduled to begin 45 minutes after the Bank of America 500.
