Saturday night’s NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Kentucky Speedway will mark Ryan Reed’s sixth start at the 1.5-mile track. In his previous five starts, Reed’s best finish of 11th came in this race in 2014. Earlier this summer at Kentucky Speedway, Reed qualified his No. 16 Ford in seventh and had a fast Mustang until a tire issue, followed by a broken part sent Reed and team to the garage for lengthy repairs. Reed would finish the night in 29th.

Brandon Jones, 2016 NASCAR XFINITY Series Chase contender and Rookie of the Year candidate, has signed an agreement to remain with Richard Childress Racing (RCR) as the driver of the No. 33 Chevrolet Camaro in the XFINITY Series for the 2017 season.

B.J. McLeod Motorsports announced today that former ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards winner Blake Jones will make his NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) debut in the No. 15 Global Building Contractors Ford Mustang in Saturday night’s VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300 at Kentucky Speedway.

Bubba Wallace, driver of the No. 6 “Shredder” TMNT Ford Mustang, recorded a 20th-place finish in the NASCAR XFINITY Series event at Chicagoland Speedway in the final race of the 2016 regular season.

Kyle Busch opened the door, and that was all the invitation Erik Jones needed. When Busch, the polesitter for Saturday’s The Drive for Safety 300 at Chicagoland Speedway, spun with a tire down while leading on Lap 182 of 200, Jones took full advantage of his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate’s misfortune.

Recap: Joey Logano started ninth, led laps and finished seventh in the No. 22 Discount Tire Ford Mustang for Team Penske in Saturday afternoon’s Drive Safe 300 and the Chicagoland Speedway. Logano brought excitement to the race early as he went three wide for position twice in the opening two laps of the race working his way toward the top-five. Logano battled a car that was tight on the bottom and loose on the top of the track throughout the first run.

Richard Childress Racing (RCR) has signed Daniel Hemric to a multi-year agreement to become a full-time driver in the NASCAR XFINITY Series beginning with the 2017 season.

Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) has named Cole Custer as the driver for its NASCAR XFINITY Series team that will debut in 2017. Custer, who will turn 19 prior to the start of the 2017 season, will pilot the team’s No. 00 entry fulltime and compete for rookie of the year honors.
