It's an unspoken opinion among many NASCAR pundits and competitors: Alex Bowman is a talented, capable driver. Granted, there's been an absence of trophies in his record, with a 13th-place at Daytona in 2014 being his career-best finish. But with the right equipment, Bowman could very well pull off some strong performances.

NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) regular Ray Black Jr. secured his 10th Top-25 finish of the season this past weekend when he placed 21st in the AutoLotto 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The driver of the No. 07 ScubaLife.com Chevrolet Camaro fought hard at the “Magic Mile,” having to race his way up from the back of the field and overcome a pit road miscue.

Bubba Wallace, driver of the No. 6 AutoLotto Ford Mustang, was battling for position inside the top 10 when contact following a Lap 173 restart knocked the Roush Fenway driver sideways, causing damage to the left-rear of the car.

Another NASCAR XFINITY Series race, another set of milestones for Kyle Busch. Leading 190 of 200 laps in Saturday’s AutoLotto 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Busch held off Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Erik Jones in the closing laps to claim his 82nd career victory, extending his own series record.

"It was a hard-fought day at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Shane (Wilson, crew chief) made great calls on adjustments and strategy to put the South Point Chevrolet in the best possible shape. We got cautions when we needed them, and the team performed excellent to make up position on pit road.

Camry driver Kyle Busch won his sixth NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) race of the season on Saturday afternoon at New Hampshire Motor Speedway after starting from the pole.

A little better than where we have been which was something to be proud of but of course we want to get to victory lane with the Fitzgerald Ford. We aren’t quite there but we will keep pushing but that was a step in the right direction overall for sure.”

Garrett Smithley will be driving competitively at New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the first time in Saturday’s AutoLotto 200 Xfinity Series race. But Smithley does have laps on the flat, one-mile track. He has worked with the Richard Petty Driving Experience at NHMS. Plus, he’ll have the advice of teammate Ryan Preece, a veteran of Loudon, to fall back on.

After running at a long list of tracks for the first time this season, Preece lands at a very familiar track – New Hampshire Motor Speedway – for Saturday’s AutoLotto 200 Xfinity Series race. He has raced in one Sprint Cup, two XFINITY and 19 Whelen Modified races at the one-mile track.

Finalists for The NASCAR Foundation’s Betty Jane France Humanitarian Award Presented by Nationwide were announced on Wednesday night on NASCAR America on NBCSN. The award will be showcased on Sept. 27 at the Foundation’s inaugural Honors Gala at the Marriott Marquis in New York City.
