NASCAR’s “Two-Round” qualifying procedure will be in effect this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway when both the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) and the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) return to the biggest and baddest track on the planet this Saturday, April 30.

Whether you watch the races in person or from the comfort of your own home, one thing remains consistent from track to track, the lack of spectators in attendance. It's no secret that NASCAR has been struggling with attendance in recent years.

In just his third start at NASCAR's biggest track, Jeb Burton and the No. 43 J. Streicher team continue to work each week toward the NASCAR XFINITY Series Chase. Following a 19th-place finish at Richmond last weekend, Burton moved up one spot in the Championship Points Standings, now sitting in 11th place. The Top-12 drivers following the first 26 races are eligible to compete for the Championship in the Chase elimination-style playoff format.

Brandon will be making his first career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Talladega Superspeedway. He does have three career starts in the ARCA Series at the Talladega track including a trip to Victory Lane in 2012. This event will be McReynolds second career XFINITY Series start and his first since 2010.

Dakoda will be making his third career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Talladega Superspeedway to go along with two prior starts each in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and the ARCA Series. He won the ARCA Series event in 2010 after starting from the pole.

Camry driver Carl Edwards won the Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond International Raceway on Sunday to claim his second-consecutive NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) victory and the fourth-straight win for Toyota and Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR).

After two straight weeks of short track racing, NASCAR XFINITY Series driver Ray Black Jr. is ready to switch it up and take on the challenge of restrictor plate racing as the series hits Talladega Superspeedway this weekend. The driver of the No. 07 ScubaLife.com Chevrolet has a knack for excelling at superspeedways, collecting one Top-5 and two Top-15 finishes in three starts.

Talladega Superspeedway today announced the Honorary Officials for Saturday’s Sparks Energy 300 NASCAR XFINITY Series race at the biggest, baddest race track on the planet.

Richard Petty Motorsports secured 36-year-veteran coach Robb Rogers to lead the pit crews for both Sprint Cup Series teams and the XFINITY Series team. Rogers brings a varied resume with experience training emerging athletes to first round picks, Olympians to soccer moms, walk on free agents to perennial All-Pro athletes. His diverse experience will bring a new perspective to pit crew coaching for Richard Petty Motorsports.
