It was a misty afternoon as the NASCAR Xfinity Series took to the track for the Rinnai 250 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, but for Christopher Bell, it was all smiles.

The Joe Gibbs Racing driver swept all three stages of the Rinnai 250, leading 142 of 163 laps in securing a convincing victory in the second race of the NASCAR Xfinity Series season. Bell – considered one of the series’ foremost championship contenders – wasted little time in asserting his dominance.

We just didn’t have enough there and Bell kind of took my line there in the last lap. It is a great start to the year in our first race with the Jacob Companies Mustang. We got a new crew chief and it was huge for us to start the year strong. I feel like we will be a threat all year.”

CHASE BRISCOE, No. 98 Nutri Chomps Ford Mustang: “Last year was definitely tough going back and forth because every organization runs different and the cars drive totally different even though they are the same manufacturer. To have one place to call home now and build a relationship with all our guys and drive the same feel of race car each and every week will go a long way. JRM at Atlanta: JR Motorsports has collected three wins, 10 top-fives and 20 top-10 finishes, along with two pole awards (2009 and 2014) in 31 NXS starts at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Jamie McMurray earned the organization its first victory at the track in 2010 and Kevin Harvick claimed back-to back wins in 2014 and 2015. JRM’s average finish of 9.7 at Atlanta is the team’s best on all tracks on the NXS circuit.
