The management of Summer Rush would like to announce the postponement of tomorrows event at Kawartha Speedway. The inclement weather that is being predicted is just to much to overcome,and we don't wish to see fans or racers face any additional costs.

Andretti Autosport driver Ryan Hunter-Reay stole what appeared to be a dominant race win from Tony Kanaan just two laps from the checkered flag in Saturday night's Iowa Corn Indy 300 presented by DEKALB.

Scott Dixon set the Iowa Speedway two-lap qualifying track record en route to the Verizon P1 Award to lead a front-row sweep for Target Chip Ganassi Racing during qualifications for Saturday night's Iowa Corn Indy 300 presented by DEKALB. Dixon's two-lap average of 186.256 mph shattered the previous speed record of 180.375 mph held by Takuma Sato since 2011.

Taylor Ferns has gotten to know quite a few tracks in Ohio, thus far in 2014, racing a 410-winged sprint car. She will expand her horizons this weekend, competing in a pair of races in West Virginia with the Ohio Valley Sprint Car Association.

This weekend marks a double header for the Brighton Speedway Vanderlaan Building Products Pro Late Models. The division will compete in its regularly scheduled 30-lap feature at Brighton on Saturday night before taking to the pavement Sunday afternoon at Kawartha Speedway. The 20-lap, $500-to-win feature is part of the OSCAAR Racing Summer Rush event. The event also features 50-lap OSCAAR Super Late Model, and 25-lap OSCAAR Modified races.

Final preparations are ongoing for the return of Summer Rush to Kawartha Speedway on July 13th. A full card of racing – including the OSCAAR Super Late Model & Modified Tours, Dirt Late Models and Round 2 of the heralded Mini Stock Nationals – will kick off at 2:30pm.

For sprint car drivers, Indiana Sprint Week, sanctioned by the Amsoil USAC National Sprint Car Series is much than just a handful of races. It's an annual pilgrimage across the highways and byways of the Hoosier state, competing at some of the most historic and sprint car-rich tracks in the country. Fans plan their vacation around the week-plus of races, which are contested at some of the raciest tracks in the entire country.

Next week, race car driver and environmental activist Leilani Münter will bring her renewable energy message to diverse communities across seven states, policy makers in Washington, DC, and to race fans at Chicagoland Speedway.
