Inclement weather has shortened today’s open test session for the ARCA Menards Series at Pocono Raceway. The session, originally scheduled from 9 o’clock through 5 pm ET, started an hour late due to fog and was shortened by about two hours due to rain.

The ARCA Menards Series came to Charlotte Motor Speedway for a rare Thursday night event and its second race back since returning last year after a few years of hiatus.

Michael Self (No. 25 Sinclair Lubricants Toyota) will start from the pole in tonight’s ARCA Menards Series General Tire 150 at Charlotte Motor Speedway after turning a lap of 29.686 seconds/181.904 miles per hour in General Tire Pole Qualifying. Self also won the GT Pole Award at the last series race at Toledo Speedway.

Everyone loves playing in front of their home crowd, whether it’s a high school baseball game at your school’s home field or a professional golfer teeing off on the hometown links. Hometown advantage matters so much that certain professional sports leagues schedule their championship games in a neutral stadium as often as possible.

The ARCA Menards Series visited Toledo Speedway for the second and final time of the 2019 season and it was all Chandler Smith who took home the trophy. Smith took the lead on the restart on lap 37 until the rain fell on lap 152. ARCA officials called the race official due to a wet track and a wet forecast for the rest of the day.
