The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) continued their playoffs run this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and the second race did not disappoint. Kyle Busch jumped out to the lead after a restart with 23 laps to go and was able to hold on to win his third MENCS race of 2017 and his first ever playoff win.
LOUDON, N.H. – Kyle Busch went from the top of the chart to near disaster and back to the top again in winning the pole position for Sunday’s ISM Connect 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (2 p.m. ET on NBCSN), the second race in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoff.
The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series travels to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the second playoff race in the Round of 16. They are joined by the Camping World Truck Series as it begins its playoff series with the Round of 8. The NASCAR XFINITY Series heads to Kentucky Speedway for its first playoff race in the Round of 12.
Martin Truex Jr. took the lead not long after the start of the final stage and it was smooth sailing from there, as he drove on to score the victory in the Tales of the Turtles 400 at Chicagoland Speedway.
Kyle Busch topped the chart in first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series practice at Chicagoland Speedway. The driver of the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota was the fastest with a time of 29.325 and a speed of 184.143 mph.
