In one of the most memorable race days in Talladega Superspeedway history, Ryan Blaney drove his No. 12 Ford Mustang for Team Penske past the field with a last-lap pass and spectacular finish bumping fenders with Erik Jones and holding off Ricky Stenhouse Jr. by inches to win the GEICO 500 NASCAR Cup Series race. Blaney captured the checkered flag by only .007 seconds over Stenhouse.

Today’s NASCAR Cup Series GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway has been postponed due to inclement weather. It is set to take the green flag tomorrow, Monday, June 22, at 2 p.m. CDT (3 p.m. ET) on FOX.

Justin Haley, driver of the No. 11 Chevrolet for Kaulig Racing, is uncertain of his status for a ride in 2021. His win in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series UNHINGED 300 at TALLADEGA will help his cause.

Astronaut Doug Hurley, currently 250 miles above earth on board the International Space Station as commander of SpaceX’s historic Demo-2 (DM-2) spaceflight, will give the command to fire engines for Sunday’s (June 21) NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway, serving as the Grand Marshal for the GEICO 500.

Officials from NASCAR, Talladega Superspeedway and Solstice Studios announced today that the upcoming edge-of-your-seat thriller – Unhinged – starring Academy Award© winner Russell Crowe, will serve as the entitlement sponsor of the iconic track’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race on Saturday, June 20. The event, known as the UNHINGED 300 at TALLADEGA, is set for a 4:30 PM CDT start.
