Texas Motor Speedway is set to go green even before the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series hits the track for the AAA Texas 500 on Sunday, Nov. 5. Country music artist Pat Green returns to Texas Motor Speedway as he headlines the Loud & Proud Pre-Race Show Fueled by American Ethanol.

Donnie Allison, two-time Talladega Superspeedway winner and original member of the famed Alabama Gang, will lead the field to green in Dale Earnhardt Sr.’s historic No. 2 Chevrolet Monte Carlo for Sunday’s Alabama 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) playoff race. The blue and yellow, white numeral machine was driven by Dale Sr. during the 1979 and 1980 MENCS seasons and was presented to Dale Earnhardt, Jr. as a retirement gift from the International Motorsports Hall of Fame and Talladega Superspeedway on Friday.

Before six-time Talladega Superspeedway winner Dale Earnhardt Jr. takes his final laps at the track he considers his "second home" in Sunday’s Alabama 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) race, the track surprised him Friday afternoon by presenting him – on permanent loan – with the No. 2 Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by his father Dale Earnhardt Sr. to the 1980 NASCAR Championship title. The presentation was made by Grant Lynch, Charmain of Talladega Superspeedway, and Alabama Senator Gerald Dial, Chairman of the Board of the International Motorsports Hall of Fame (IMHOF), located outside of the 2.66-mile track.

Thousands of race fans from all over the world are setting on the same destination this weekend –Talladega Superspeedway. Spectators from 21 countries, five continents, all 50 of the United States and the District of Columbia will be represented while attending the Alabama 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) and fred’s 250 Powered by Coca-Cola NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) playoff events.

U.S. Olympian Brian Hansen will lead the field to green as the Honorary Pace Car Driver of the 2018 Toyota Camry pace car for the Hollywood Casino 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series payoff race at Kansas Speedway on Sunday, Oct. 22.

The year was 1987, and when NASCAR roared into Talladega Superspeedway for the first time that season, a young, local kid from nearby Hueytown, Alabama – Davey Allison – had high hopes. He was looking for his first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) checkered flag, and little did he know how special that day would become.

State Senator Del Marsh (R) will serve as the Honorary Starter and wave the green flag to start competition for this Sunday’s Alabama 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) at Talladega Superspeedway.

Madison McWilliams, a rapidly emerging teenage pop star from Austin, Texas, will sing the National Anthem prior to the O'Reilly Auto Parts 300 NASCAR XFINITY Series race on Saturday, Nov. 4, at Texas Motor Speedway.

Mike Vogel, who can currently be seen on NBC’s new drama series, “The Brave,” has been named the honorary starter for the Oct. 22 Hollywood Casino 400. In his role on “The Brave,” Vogel stars as Captain Adam Dalton, the leader of an elite group of military professionals carrying out dangerous missions to keep the world safe.

Home is where the heart is. And for six-time Talladega winner Dale Earnhardt Jr., that place is Talladega Superspeedway – a track he considers a second home, with good reason. In addition to his six triumphs and record four consecutive victories (from 2001-2003) at the 2.66-mile facility, it’s his relationship with his fans, in a place that he himself, calls “Earnhardt Country,” that make his trips to NASCAR’s Biggest and Baddest track even more special.
