Richard Childress Racing driver Daniel Hemric captured the top starting position for this afternoon’s ToyotaCare 250 NASCAR XFINITY Series race. With a top speed of 119.006 mph, Hemric will lead the field to green under a clear, bright sky this afternoon. Hemric will be joined on the front row by Kyle Benjamin, driver of the number 20, Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota.

Nathan’s Famous has been named as the official hot dog of Richmond International Raceway (Richmond). While the track has had many signature food items through the years, Nathan’s Famous is the first official hot dog in Richmond history. From its original restaurant in Coney Island to thousands of supermarkets across the country, the partnership will connect NASCAR fans in Richmond to an American Original Hot Dog.

Richmond International Raceway (Richmond) is honored to have Washington Redskins offensive lineman Morgan Moses as the Honorary Race Official for the TOYOTA OWNERS 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday, April 30. Moses is a Richmond, Va. native and a University of Virginia (UVA) alumni.

For the first time, the NASCAR Silver Bullet Bash presented by Coors Light will take center stage in Charlotte on Thursday, May 18. Celebrating the first half of the NASCAR season, the Silver Bullet Bash will lead off the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series All-Star weekend festivities with live music, special guests and unique experiences.

As Richmond International Raceway (Richmond) is making its final preparations for the upcoming Toyota race weekend on April 28, 29 & 30, America’s Premier Short Track announces its new public address (PA) team that will call the action to the fans in the stands for the TOYOTA OWNERS 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race and the ToyotaCare 250 NASCAR XFINITY Series race.

Hendrick Motorsports driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. announced April 25 that he will retire as a driver in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series after the 2017 season.

Richmond International Raceway (Richmond) will host a Kids Autograph Session on Sunday, April 30 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The event will take place in the Virginia529 Kids Zone located off of the Commonwealth Mall. Drivers Denny Hamlin, Ryan Blaney, and Gray Gaulding will sign autographs and take pictures with kids 12 & younger.
