Two prominent individuals making a positive impact in the state of Alabama will serve in honorary capacities during Talladega Superspeedway’s Aaron’s Dream Weekend.

Everyone knows NASCAR and country music go hand-in-hand, and no one personifies this combination more than singer-songwriter Tim Dugger, who will be performing as part of the free Saturday Night Infield Concert at Talladega Superspeedway during the Aaron’s Dream Weekend.

It started with a tweet from Dale Earnhardt Jr. (@DaleJr) to Robert Griffin III (@RGIII), followed by some chiming in from Richmond International Raceway President Dennis Bickmeier (@RIRprez) and RIR (@RIRinsider). What began as a Twitter conversation about a month ago has resulted in Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III driving the Official Pace Car to start this Saturday’s TOYOTA OWNERS 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.

The Michigan Wine and Beer Fest presented by Experience Jackson is a must visit to sample wines from around the state of the Michigan.

When it comes to being green, Michigan International Speedway leads the way. The track is annually recognized for its ongoing environmental sustainability efforts throughout the year.

“Getting to pick my favorite tailgate at Talladega last year, thanks to Coca-Cola Zero, was pretty cool, and I’m looking forward to seeing what the fans can come up with this year to impress me. There’s an abundance of creativity out there. And for me, it’s fun spending time with the fans and getting to check out where they party.

Many NASCAR fans are hoping history repeats itself this season for Dale Earnhardt Jr. In 2004 when Dale Jr. claimed the Daytona 500, he went on to win at NASCAR’s Most Competitive Track – Talladega Superspeedway – that same year. Dale Jr. won the season-opening Daytona 500 this year, and fans hoping to see a repeat performance at Talladega live and in person have some incredible ticket offers to choose from for the Aaron’s Dream Weekend, May 2-4.

Four-time Talladega Superspeedway winner and three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion Darrell Waltrip was at Samford University in Birmingham on Tuesday, showcasing his historic No. 88 Gatorade Monte Carlo that won many races in the late 1970s and letting students know that Talladega Superspeedway has the best ticket in any sport for college students – the $19 College Party Pass.

1993 NASCAR Nationwide Series Rookie of the Year and current Fox Sport 1 analyst Hermie Sadler will return to the track as he will compete in the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown. The biggest celebrity-laden Late Model Race on asphalt is going back to its roots at South Boston Speedway (South Boston, Va.) on April 24th, as host Denny Hamlin and an all-star cast of drivers return to the race track that helped launch Hamlin's NASCAR career, among other racing stars.
