This weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Chevrolet Racing will begin the brand’s fight against breast cancer as Chevrolet gears up to support the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer initiative.

The NRA American Warrior 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series Race at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday, Sept. 1, will honor those who work to protect the freedoms of citizens of the United States. In addition to naming a race for those who serve, the National Rifle Association will host several American heroes, their families and special guests during the race weekend.

On Thursday, Aug. 23, four-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Jeff Gordon and defending winner of the AdvoCare 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, visited the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta to host a dolphin race between two of the aquarium’s resident dolphins.

SiriusXM’s Claire B. Lang to host special live show at Dover International Speedway on Friday, Sept. 28

Dover International Speedway and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio are teaming up for the Sept. 28-30, 2012 race weekend to present “Dialed In with Claire B. Lang, live from the Monster Mile.” The special edition of Lang’s show will air Friday, Sept. 28 from 7 to 9 p.m. ET in front of a live audience in the Rollins Center at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino.

Atlanta Motor Speedway Campgrounds to Open on Saturday, Aug. 25

While the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series AdvoCare 500 weekend is still eight days away, eager campers have already started to line up for campsites in the unreserved campgrounds. The speedway’s unreserved campgrounds will open on Saturday, Aug. 25 at 8:00 a.m.

Martinsville Speedway and PepsiCo today announced an extension of their 65-year partnership with a new multi-year beverage contract. While there is definitely a new feel to the revamped Bristol Motor Speedway, the iconic track remains firmly rooted in its history. In August of 1978, Cale Yarborough won the first Night Race held at the .533-mile oval. Sparks flew under the lights, from the cars and from some drivers, and the event quickly became one of NASCAR’s crown jewels. This year’s edition of the IRWIN Tools Night Race Aug. 25 will be the 35th running of the event at night.
