NASCAR fans at Phoenix International Raceway will be treated to a star-studded line-up of drivers taking time to visit with them prior to the AdvoCare 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, Nov 10

Radio Disney's "N.B.T." (Next Big Thing) and Epic Records' Fifth Harmony will perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” live at Phoenix International Raceway prior to the ServiceMaster 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series Race (Saturday, Nov. 9, 2 p.m. MST), PIR President Bryan R. Sperber announced today. The group’s performance was arranged through a partnership between PIR, Radio Disney Phoenix and the NASCAR Entertainment Group.

Fans attending the AdvoCare 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race weekend at Phoenix International Raceway will be treated to hearing from some of NASCAR’s top drivers, including Danica Patrick and Clint Bowyer, prior to the action on the track.

Phoenix International Raceway President Bryan R. Sperber announced today that Safeway will operate an on-site grocery store in the camping area at the race track beginning this fall with PIR’s AdvoCare 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series weekend Nov. 8-10. The nation’s fourth-largest grocery chain, Safeway will be the official grocery partner of Phoenix International Raceway offering snacks and campground essentials.

Statistically Martinsville Speedway is one of Earnhardt Jr.’s best tracks and he has momentum on his side headed into Sunday’s Goody’s® Headache Relief Shot® 500 Powered by Kroger after finishing second last week.

With the Goody’s® Headache Relief Shot® 500 Powered by Kroger just a few days away, things are starting to get busy around Martinsville Speedway. Tents are going up, signs are being painted and everything is being put in perfect condition for this weekend’s big events.

Maurice Petty used his engine-building skills to earn a spot in the NASCAR Hall of Fame, but Sunday he will be honored for his short, but successful career as a driver.

Jamie McMurray heads to Martinsville Speedway this week on top of the NASCAR Sprint Cup world and he feels pretty good about maintaining that perch.

Nationally-known announcer Michael Blair will bring his enthusiasm to the pre-race ceremonies while legendary rock and blues guitarist Gary Hoey will provide a special touch to driver introductions. The North Carolina State University Marching Band, with more than 325 members, will add to the prerace excitement as they play and march around the half-mile oval and perform the National Anthem.

Jeff Burton has been driving at Martinsville Speedway for more than two decades and all that experience makes him certain of one thing: Sprint Cup racing’s shortest track is also its toughest.
