Colt Ford Headlines Food City 500 Pre-Race Concert

SuperPass upgrades fans to stage-side access

BRISTOL, Tenn. (Tuesday, February 11, 2014) – Known for an eclectic blend of music centered around small town Saturday nights, fishing from the tailgate and mom’s home cooking, Colt Ford’s brand of music embodies Southern culture and this March his sound collides with another Southern tradition when he plays on Bristol’s Food City 500 pre-race stage.

“Colt has strong ties to NASCAR and Bristol Motor Speedway,” said Jerry Caldwell, general manager of BMS. “He showed his passion for Bristol in 2009, writing and performing ‘Racin the Way It Oughtta Be,’ a song specifically about our track, and his latest music video stars two of the sport’s most popular drivers – Danica Patrick and Ricky Stenhouse Jr.

“His music connects with our fans and I’m excited to see what he has in store for this year’s performance.”

For his part, Ford is eager to rock the Food City 500 pre-race stage.

“Heck, I could not be more excited to be playing at Bristol Motor Speedway and kicking off the Food City 500,” said the country artist. “I love this track and I love these fans. This is my kinda party with my kinda people!!”

Fans wanting front row seats for the party can upgrade their Sunday ticket to a SuperPass, which includes stage-side access to the pre-race concert and Bristol’s famed driver intros as well as a self-guided track tour, for just $80 or $40 for iBelong members.

Tickets options are also still available for the March race weekend, with Sunday tickets starting at just $65 or $99 for weekend packages. For more information or to purchase tickets, call (855) 580-5525 or visit www.BristolTix.com.
