NASCAR Truck Series

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) hits the halfway mark as the series rolls into Pocono Raceway for the 11th race of 2013. Miguel Paludo has two previous starts at the Tricky Triangle, with his best run coming in 2012 when he qualified third and finished 13th.

Though Dakoda Armstrong will be making only his second NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) start at the 2.5-mile “Tricky Triangle” hidden in the Pocono Mountains, he is no stranger to the unique tri-oval. Making three starts in the ARCA Racing Series at Pocono Raceway, Armstrong gained a wealth of knowledge he can carry over to this weekend’s Pocono Mountains 125.

Todd Peck will make his second NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start of the 2013 season this weekend at Pocono Raceway. He will pilot the No. 07 Arthritis Foundation Chevy in the Pocono Mountains 125 at Pocono Raceway. The 2.5-mile track will be the largest that the team has competed on to date. Peck, a Pennsylvania native, looks to continue his growth as a NASCAR driver by tackling the unique configuration of the "tricky triangle."

Was this onetime event a success? Considering that it was sold out the day tickets became available, that they sold tickets to 48 states, and 4 different countries, was standing room; and from the looks of lawn chair seating as well, then yes it was a success.

Two-time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) champion Todd Bodine will make his debut for Turner Scott Motorsports (TSM) at this week's Truck Series event at Pocono Raceway. Bodine, who captured both the 2006 and 2010 NCWTS titles, will pilot TSM's No. 30 entry, the same truck number he drove to both championships.

RIGHT ON TRACK: A return to Pocono Raceway for John Wes Townley is one he looks forward too. Townley captured his highest finishing position (eighth) at the 2.5-mile track during the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event last year. This year the Red Horse Racing driver tied his best finishing position at Charlotte Motor Speedway and credits it to his No. 7 Zaxby's Toyota Tundra team.

There was wall scrapping, door slamming, dirt flying and not a single fan sitting at Eldora Speedway Wednesday night. NASCAR had finally gone back home to where it all began; they returned to dirt. After a 43 year hiatus, no one knew what to expect but everyone believed that it would be spectacular.

The Mudsummer Classic Camping World Truck Series race at Eldora Speedway Wednesday night was everything a race fan loves. It wasn’t the biggest or the fastest but it showcased the best racing action that NASCAR has to offer.

Austin Dillon won the Inaugural Mudsummer Classic for his fifth victory in 53 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races. Kyle Larson, Ryan Newman, Joey Coulter and Brendan Gaughan rounded out the top 5.

Austin Dillon would get by Kyle Larson while in lap traffic to take the win in the Mud Summer Classic at Eldora Speedway.
