Tyler Reddick Earns Second-Consecutive Top-Five Finish with No. 2 Dolly Parton Chevrolet Camaro at Bristol Motor Speedway

CHASE BRISCOE, No. 98 Nutri Chomps Ford Mustang – HOW WOULD YOU SUM UP YOUR DAY? “That’s really what we should be doing all year long. It’s just taken us a little bit of time for me to learn the race cars and for them to kind of find what I like. Overall, this is by far our best weekend from start to finish. We showed that I feel like we can be a top four contender, so there at the end I felt like I honestly was the best car it’s just so hard to pass when they get like that around the top. I found a little bit of speed down on the bottom of one and two, but we didn’t get the $100,000 this week, but we’ve got a shot again next week. We’ll go there with our Nutri Chomps Ford and see what we can do.”

After the fall race last year I was like man, I wish we could go to Bristol next week. Here we are. I love this race track. It’s one of my favorites.”

Chase Briscoe, driver of the No. 98 Nutri Chomps Ford Mustang, is one of four drivers competing this weekend in the Dash 4 Cash with a chance to win a $100,000 bonus. He spoke about that opportunity, along with the start to his season, before today’s practice.

“Not taking any tires was certainly a help. We jumped the field there and I was worried about the restart. I just didn’t think there was going to be enough grip. This car certainly had enough grip in it. I can’t thank iK9, the First Foundation – this Toyota Supra was awesome today. It was really fast."

It’s not every day you get to do that, so I’m looking forward to it. I really feel like we should have been in Victory Lane if that caution didn’t come out. We were gonna be the only car able to go on fuel, so it seems that always happens in those situations, but I’m just really proud of all my Nutri Chomps guys. We were literally a 13th to 16th-place car all day long and just kept working on it and getting track position and was able to salvage a top five out of it. We just have to get better throughout the weekend, I’ve got to get better and I feel like once we put it all together we’re gonna be really hard to beat. We just have to get all the pieces together, so I’m looking forward to Bristol and hopefully win $100,000.”
