NASCAR Partners with Chevrolet to Continue ‘Making Strides Against Breast Cancer’ in October

Chevrolet pledges to donate $350 per caution lap paced by pink Camaro ZL1 at three NASCAR Cup Series races

DETROIT – Chevrolet will continue its fight against breast cancer with the return of the specially-themed pink ‘Making Strides Against Breast Cancer’ Camaro ZL1 as the official pace car for the upcoming NASCAR Cup Series races at Talladega Superspeedway, Homestead-Miami Speedway and Martinsville Speedway.

Featuring the American Cancer Society logo, the pink Camaro ZL1 pace car will raise both money and awareness as it serves as the pace car at each of the three events during the month of October. For every caution lap the pink Camaro ZL1 completes, Chevrolet will make a donation of $350 (up to $50,000) to the American Cancer Society to honor the ‘Making Strides Against Breast Cancer’ initiative. Chevrolet will also host a group of breast cancer survivors at each race with the experience including special appearances by Team Chevy NASCAR Cup Series drivers, rides in the pink Camaro ZL1 pace car and more.

This marks the 13th consecutive year Chevrolet has partnered with the American Cancer Society and its ‘Making Strides Against Breast Cancer’ initiative. In 2022, 108 caution laps were completed among the three participating races, generating a $37,800 donation to the American Cancer Society.

“Chevrolet is proud to continue our commitment to the American Cancer Society’s ‘Making Strides Against Breast Cancer’ initiative,” said Alyssa Haba, Motorsports Strategic Planning and Operations Manager for Chevrolet. “It is always an honor to carry the ACS logo on our pink Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 pace car during the month of October and we look forward to the opportunity to bring awareness for this important cause to the track again this year.”

NASCAR will support Chevrolet’s continued efforts in the fight against breast cancer by partnering with the manufacturer to add an additional market to the program for this year’s campaign. Together, NASCAR and Chevrolet will host the third event at one of its original tracks, Martinsville Speedway, as the sanctioning body celebrates its 75th anniversary.

“We applaud our great partners at Chevrolet for all the tremendous work they do to bring significant visibility to breast cancer awareness and the American Cancer Society,” said Michelle Byron, NASCAR senior vice president of partnership marketing. “NASCAR is honored to provide a platform for this initiative and play a role in the fight against a disease that directly impacts so many people across the globe.”

The pink Camaro ZL1 will make its first on-track appearance of the season this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway, serving as the pace car for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series YellaWood 500.

When Should You Contact A Lawyer Because Of A Car Accident

Photo by C Joyful on Unsplash

Have you been in a car accident and are wondering if it would be wise to contact a lawyer? A lot of people find themselves feeling confused about this and want to make sure that they handle the aftermath of their accident correctly. Knowing when it’s appropriate to turn to a legal professional can be tricky, but understanding why a lawyer may come in handy is vitally important. In this blog post, we’ll explore the common scenarios where consulting with an attorney should definitely be considered after being involved in a car accident. Read on for more information on how and when hiring legal counsel may benefit your case!

Understand what circumstances qualify as a car accident

Car accidents can happen to anyone at any time, and it’s important to understand the various circumstances that can lead to one. While the most obvious form of a car accident is a collision between two or more vehicles, there are other scenarios that can qualify as well. For example, a car hitting a stationary object like a pole or wall can be considered an accident, as can a pedestrian or bicyclist being hit by a car. Additionally, accidents caused by slippery road conditions or mechanical failures can also fall under this category. By recognizing these types of incidents as car accidents, we can better understand their causes and work towards preventing them in the future.

Determine if you have any legal rights or obligations

Car accidents can be a traumatic experience, leaving one injured and confused. Amidst the chaos and confusion, it is essential to know your legal rights and obligations. As this Las Vegas auto accident lawyer explains, depending on the circumstances of the accident, you may be entitled to compensation for damages, medical bills, and more. On the other hand, you may also have legal obligations, such as reporting the accident to the authorities. It is crucial to seek legal advice to ensure you understand your rights and obligations fully. Knowing where you stand legally can help ease the stress and uncertainty that often follows an accident.

Assess the damage done to your vehicle and any potential medical costs

Even if the damage doesn’t seem significant, it’s always a good idea to have a mechanic take a closer look. Additionally, you’ll want to consider any potential medical costs resulting from the accident. Even minor accidents can lead to injuries that may require medical attention. Seeking medical attention immediately after an accident can help prevent further harm and ensure you’re on the path to recovery. Remember to document all damages and medical bills to properly file an insurance claim. While it may not be the easiest task, it’s necessary to handle matters properly to ensure you’re not left with unexpected costs down the road.

Gather evidence

When it comes to gathering evidence, it’s crucial to gather as much information as possible. Photos and audio recordings can help bring the situation to life and reveal details that may have been overlooked. Witness statements are equally important, providing firsthand accounts of what occurred. Collecting a variety of evidence ensures that all angles are covered, making it easier to piece together what happened and ultimately reach a fair conclusion.

Know when to contact a lawyer for assistance

Filing an insurance claim or lawsuit can be a daunting task, especially if you’re not familiar with the legal system. However, the good news is that you don’t have to navigate this process alone. There are times when it’s important to contact a lawyer to help you with your case. For instance, if you’ve been seriously injured or experienced significant damage to your car, it’s important to seek legal assistance. This is because insurance companies are known for denying or undervaluing claims, leaving you without the compensation you need to cover your losses. A lawyer can help you understand your legal rights and options, and they can fight for the compensation you deserve. So, if you’re in doubt about whether or not to contact a lawyer, it’s always better to be safe than sorry.

Learn about potential laws that may impact your case

As a legal case develops, it’s important to stay up to date on any laws or regulations that may impact your proceedings. One potential area of concern is comparative negligence laws, which can have a significant impact on the outcome of a case. Essentially, these laws dictate how fault is assigned in cases where multiple parties may share responsibility for an incident. By understanding how comparative negligence may come into play in your particular case, you can better prepare yourself and your legal team for the road ahead. While the ins and outs of these laws may vary depending on your location and specific circumstances, taking the time to learn about them can help you feel more confident and informed as you navigate the legal process.

Be aware of any deadlines for filing a claim or lawsuit in your state

When it comes to filing a claim or lawsuit, timing is everything. Each state has its own deadline for filing and it’s important to be aware of what your state’s requirements are. Missing a deadline could result in your case being dismissed, which means you could lose out on compensation that you’re entitled to. Don’t let the statute of limitations pass you by. Take the time to research and make sure you understand what the deadlines are in your state, so you can take the necessary steps to protect your legal rights.

The aftermath of a car accident is an unpredictable and stressful event that can easily derail your life. By understanding the legal circumstances around a car accident, you gain the unmatched opportunity to protect yourself and your family from potential long-term consequences. To ensure your rights are not trampled upon, take the time to assess the damage done to your vehicle, evaluate any medical costs, and gather the necessary evidence as soon as possible. Most importantly though, be aware of any laws in your state that may govern or limit liability for car accidents. If you feel overwhelmed by all these steps, know you can contact a lawyer for assistance with navigating insurance claims and filing a lawsuit on time. Take control of the situation now before it’s too late – make sure you’re properly prepared in the event of a car accident!

Achieving Precision in Automobiles Using Actuators

Moving parts exist in nearly all mechanical systems. These systems have components that require maximum accuracy and precision to achieve optimum performances. That is why equipment and machinery like automobiles always count on linear actuators.

Certain areas in an automobile require the utmost precision and accuracy levels. Among them are the mounting alignment, build tolerance, backlash, and application dynamics. These factors follow linear motion and therefore rely on electric linear actuators for accuracy and precision. Reading on, you discover how to achieve precision using these actuators in the mentioned areas above.

What is Actuator Accuracy and Precision?

Accuracy, in general, is the measure of deviation of the achieved position from the target position. Precision, on the other hand, is how far all the achieved positions have deviated from the intended position.

So actuator accuracy is simply the ability of the device to meet the intended target position. Meanwhile, actuator precision is the ability of the machine to reproduce a similar outcome at different times.

In essence, the ideal linear actuator is able to combine high accuracy and precision. That means, it moves towards the target position and hits that same spot consistently.

Why Your Automobiles Need Actuators

Passenger vehicles and commercial cars are popular applications of the linear actuator. It helps them transform the electrical signals emitted from the electronic control system into actions. Moreover, several other reasons exist why your automobiles need these electric motor actuators.

Environmental protection

More drivers are becoming more aware of the environment. This is in due part to fuel price hikes. As a result, there is a demand for vehicles with low consumption of fuel and less pollutant emissions. However, there need not be a sacrifice of ride comfort and performance.

To meet the requirements for comfort and environmental safety, you need power actuators. These devices ensure fresh air and exhaust gas recirculate for optimal performance and reduce pollution. It also ensures an adequate supply of fuel to the car engine with precision.

Function

Actuators are vital to the functioning of several parts of the automobile. The electronic control systems, for example, are one of the many application areas of the linear actuator. They are responsible for converting electrical control signals to actions. And for that purpose, they utilize electromagnetic valves or electric motors. An instance is in the regulation of fluids to build pressure as seen in steering and braking systems.

Other functions of the actuator in a car engine’s control system are:

  • Meter fuel (optimal combustion)
  • Idle speed
  • Control air flaps (optimal power and torque)

In other systems, they are useful to unlock and lock car doors. They are also present in remote control applications that open boot lids, fuel cover flaps, engine bonnets, etc.

Safety

Over time, the presence of powerful actuators has ensured the different automobile designs promoted safety. They assist drivers in critical moments and help them avert possible accidents. Other times, the accident is less severe because of a triggered safety mechanism. An example is the inflation of airbags during a collision.

Factors that Affect Accuracy and Precision in Actuators

Actuator Build Tolerance

An actuator’s build tolerance is one of the major contributing factors to its accuracy and precision when installed. Most general-purpose actuators’ build tolerance is  +/- 3mm.

So, it is crucial to reach out to a product’s manufacturer if your purchased item is sensitive to accuracy and precision requirements. This is because, during manufacture, the mass production of items often leads to faults when trying to replicate their specifications.

It’s important to note that the accuracy and precision of linear actuators after installation also change. It is subject to several environmental conditions that may affect the unit such as temperature, pressure, etc. Other components that may introduce errors alongside the actuator in a system are:

  • Mounting brackets
  • Pulleys
  • Valves
  • Bearings
  • Framing materials
  • Rods
  • Bushings

Overall, avoid combining actuators with the above components in systems. That way you ensure their accuracy and precision are at optimum levels and steadily yield desired results.

Actuator Backlash

A backlash is the clearance or lost motion in a mechanism. Also called a lash, slop, or play, it happens as a result of the gaps between the pieces of the mechanism. These gaps could be the mated gear teeth distance.

When rotating the gear in a reverse direction, you observe a slack. That is, it takes a while before the gears begin to respond. This is one of the more common occurrences of backlash in the internal gears of automobiles. Meanwhile, this phenomenon varies in range and depends on actuator models.

Positional Errors

Errors like these are often a result of non-mechanical equipment. Such positional errors are common in motor drivers, hall sensors, and potentiometer feedback.

Also, other timing delays and dead time need adequate consideration. This is because control systems are prone to time delays and affect applications needing accuracy and high precision.

Framing and Mounting Brackets

These components often follow a design that allows play for pivot points. This extra play or lash may add to the present actuator backlash. The outcome is an overall reduced precision and accuracy in the system.

Wear and Tear

As with every machine, wear and tear is a common occurrence with actuators. However, it is necessary to regularly inspect and make necessary adjustments in an automobile using actuators. Regular system maintenance helps account for wear and tear. Alongside finetuning, it also ensures long-term accuracy and precision. Lastly, understanding the actuator tolerance ranges helps you assess potential faults and keep the system at optimal levels.

Conclusion

Electric linear actuators are a great asset to automobile machines for their accuracy and precision features. They are of different types and each provides different levels of accuracy and precision.

However, certain factors introduce errors and affect the overall efficiency of actuators. So it is important to note the right integration techniques to use and the suitable components when installing an actuator. This way you ensure the right levels of precision and accuracy for your automobile application.

SVRA Announces 2024 Schedule

New Events at Eagles Canyon and Pitt Race, Second Dates Added at Popular Mid-Ohio and Lime Rock

CHARLOTTE (September 28, 2023) – Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) has announced its 2024 schedule, which features new venues and additional race dates, while continuing its nationwide footprint with one of its most comprehensive schedules yet. Visiting some of the most iconic racetracks in America, SVRA will hold 22 events in 2024, spanning coast to coast and covering all four corners of the United States.

“I am excited about how our schedule has come together for 2024,” said Michael Printup, President of SVRA. “We have every corner of the country covered with opportunities for racers to compete, as well as multiple schools to give aspiring drivers a chance to get licensed. Having a schedule this robust would not be possible without our entire community of competitors, track partners, fans and corporate sponsors, and our entire team is thankful to each and every one of them.”

The 2024 season will kick off with one of SVRA’s biggest events of the season—the Sebring SpeedTour. Scheduled for February 22-25, racers can take a break from the winter blues to head to sunny Florida for a weekend filled with racing, camaraderie and fun. The paddock community will gather for SVRA’s annual awards banquet to celebrate the prior season’s champions, while SVRA’s business partners from around the country will also gather for a day of learning, networking and brainstorming during the annual Partners Forum.

From there, SVRA will hold back-to-back driver schools and race weekends. After a successful debut school at Thunderhill Raceway Park in 2023, SVRA will return to gather aspiring racers for a three-day comprehensive driver school focused on driver development, car handling and safe racing. With classroom instruction and multiple on-track sessions, the school will culminate with a full feature race, followed by the presentation of SVRA racing licenses to successful graduates. The event will also feature a full weekend of vintage sprint and endurance races for licensed racers.

Then, it’s off to Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, Texas, for another driver school and vintage race combination weekend. A new venue on SVRA’s calendar, the 2.7-mile circuit offers fast turns and exciting elevation changes that make it both a fun and challenging place for drivers of any skill level to compete.

SVRA returns to Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta on its traditional date for the Road Atlanta SpeedTour. Then, it’s off to NOLA Motorsports Park for the third year in a row. Sonoma Raceway once again returns to the schedule in April, followed by the addition of a spring race date at the ever-popular Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

SVRA will travel coast to coast in May, kicking off the month back on the West Coast at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, before back-to-back Midwest stops at St. Louis’ World Wide Technology Raceway and Wisconsin’s famed Road America. The series returns to the East Coast to wrap up the month at Lime Rock Park over Memorial Day Weekend.

A busy summer will kick off with a new event at Pittsburgh International Race Complex, before a visit to the famed yard of bricks at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in what has become a Father’s Day tradition. Then, the action heads back to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the 43rd annual Vintage Grand Prix. A return trip to Lime Rock Park will lead into SVRA covering both sides of the country, simultaneously hosting events at New Jersey Motorsports Park and Portland International Raceway the following weekend. Then, the series returns to the D.C. region in August for the Summit Point SpeedTour at Summit Point Motorsports Park.

As the temperatures cool down, the action heats up with some of SVRA’s most anticipated and popular events of the year. Racers from across the country will descend on the famed Watkins Glen International for all the pomp and circumstance that is the traditional U.S. Vintage Grand Prix weekend. Then, it’s off to VIRginia International Raceway for its traditional fall race weekend, before heading to Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch to give West Coast competitors one last “near-home” race of the season.

Finally, the 2024 season will close at Circuit of The Americas with the U.S. Vintage Racing National Championship weekend – a tradition held since 2013. In addition to crowning our champions, drivers will once again compete for the coveted Bell Racing Championship gold helmets.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. aims for another Superspeedway win

2023 DAYTONA 500 CHAMPION RICKYSTENHOUSE JR. AIMS FOR ANOTHER SUPERSPEEDWAY WIN WITH NO. 47 SARA LEE® ARTESANO™ BREAD / COUNTRY CROCK® CAMARO

We’re welcoming cooler temperatures and Stenhouse Jr.’s sides of his Camaro will feature a delicious grilled cheese sandwich for the 188-lap event on Sunday and help drive awareness for Kroger Racing partners offers both online and in-store.

HARRISBURG,N.C. (September 28,2023) – – Now that fall is here, cooler temperatures will soon prevail, which means it’s time for warm classic comfort food. Right now, Sara Lee® Artesano™ and Country Crock® are coming together for the ultimate grilled cheese sandwich and are taking advantage of the Kroger Racing program to engage with consumers and drive awareness about special offers online and in-store.

Additionally, Sara Lee Artesano is the primary sponsor of Ricky Stenhouse Jr.’s No. 47 Camaro ZL1 with co-primary partner Country Crock at Talladega Superspeedway this weekend. The race car will have a unique design featuring a sliced loaf of Sara Lee Artesano bread and a delicious grilled cheese sandwich made with Country Crock spread.

“We’re thrilled to partner with JTG Daugherty Racing to cheer on the first ever No. 47 Sara Lee® Artesano™ Bread Camaro ZL1 at Talladega Superspeedway.” said Taylor Burgess, Senior Omnichannel Marketing Manager, “We know that many of the enthusiastic NASCAR Cup Series fans choose Sara Lee® Artesano™ as their preferred bread and we are looking forward to sharing the excitement of this partnership with them.”

“The Country Crock team is thrilled to be a partner of Kroger Racing this year,” said Michelle Svecharny, Senior Brand Manager of Country Crock. “We can’t wait to showcase how JTG Daugherty Racing brought the iconic Country Crock branding to life on the No. 47 Camaro. Thank you to Bimbo Bakeries USA and Artesano Bakery Bread for teaming up with us again to make this race car legendary. We hope the fans are excited to see us at the track and are inspired to make their own grilled cheese with Country Crock and Artesano while they watch the race.”

The Sara Lee Artesano / Country Crock Camaro will also be outfitted with an in-car camera for the race on NBC and will spotlight Sara Lee Artesano. The two brands have selected a good track knowing Stenhouse Jr. has a nice shot at his fourth NASCAR Cup Series victory, one of which occurred at Talladega Superspeedway in May 2017.

“We definitely want to go for the win at Talladega with our No. 47 Sara Lee® Artesano / Country Crock Camaro,” said Stenhouse Jr. “We’ll discuss our strategy going into the weekend and determine what we want to do for the race. You look back at the final regular season race at Daytona (International Speedway) and we got to the front. However, while running in the top 6, we got wrecked.”

The team “might” go the conservative route during the 180-lap YellaWood 500 to make certain Stenhouse Jr. is there at the end to go for the win.

“We know stage points are important, but we would rather have the race win,” said Stenhouse Jr. “I think when it comes down to it, we will see how the race plays out, but like I said, we want to win it.”

It’s hard to bet on who will grab the trophy at a superspeedway, but you cannot deny Stenhouse Jr. is a frontrunner based on his credentials. Additionally, his Crew Chief Mike Kelley and the JTG Daugherty Racing team enters Talladega following back-to-back top-10 finishes at Bristol Motor Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway.

“The last two weeks we’ve had top-10 finishes,” said Kelley. “The team has shown great resilience after we got bounced out of the Playoffs. No one is rolling over and playing dead. We’re focused on getting as high up in the NASCAR Cup Series points standings as possible. Winning at a superspeedway this year – the iconic Daytona 500 – gives us high hopes going back to another superspeedway. Of course, Ricky’s won at Talladega. We want to keep the momentum going, collect a lot of points and win. We want to finish the season strong and get ready for 2024.”

Live coverage of the YellaWood 500 on Sunday begins at 2 PM ET on NBC, MRN and SIRIUSXM NASCAR Radio. Also, visit kroger.com/f/racing to stay fresh with Kroger and shop fan favorites!

RALEIGH, N.C. North Wilkesboro, then a dirt track, hosted its first race in May of 1947 and its first NASCAR race in 1949. In November of 2021, an $18 million allocation from federal American Rescue Plan funds was designated for infrastructure improvements at North Wilkesboro Speedway through the North Carolina state budget. The General Assembly also approved a $4 million economic grant in the 2024 budget toward support of hosting a national motorsports event such as the NASCAR All-Star Race. To date, renovations at North Wilkesboro Speedway have included infield paving; new pit road and outside retaining walls; new wheel fencing and SAFER barrier; suite, hospitality, media center, bathroom and driver’s lounge upgrades; plus new LED track lighting, sound system and internet. Before the 2024 NASCAR All-Star Race weekend, the 0.625-mile track will be repaved for the first time since 1981.

NHRA DRIVERS RIDE INTO DALLAS FOR KEY PLAYOFF RACE AT TEXAS NHRA FALLNATIONALS

ENNIS, Texas (Sept. 28, 2023) – The NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series gallops into the Texas Motorplex to conclude the third annual Stampede of Speed with the main event of the 10-day event, the 38th annual Texas NHRA FallNationals on Oct. 12.-15. The stakes will be high as the second half of the NHRA Countdown to the Championship playoffs takes place at the fan-favorite event in Dallas.

The 19th event of the 2023 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series season is the fourth event of the NHRA Countdown to the Championship playoffs, and it promises to deliver all the thrilling 11,000-horsepower, 330-mph race action fans have enjoyed for nearly four decades at the legendary Texas Motorplex.

An extra element of excitement will also return to the Texas NHRA FallNationals with the addition of “Friday Night Live,” which offers more than $40,000 in bonus money to the stars in Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle.

The low qualifier under the lights on Friday at the famed Texas Motorplex will net Top Fuel and Funny Car stars $15,000 each in bonus money, with $7,500 going to the quickest qualifier in Pro Stock and $5,000 in Pro Stock Motorcycle. That leads into final qualifying on Saturday and championship Sunday, where winners will be crowned at the legendary facility to close out a memorable weekend of adrenaline-filled action.

Justin Ashley (Top Fuel), Ron Capps (Funny Car), Erica Enders (Pro Stock) and Hector Arana Jr. (Pro Stock Motorcycle) took home victories last season. This year’s race will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1 (FS1) as the playoffs heat up for NHRA drivers.

Top Fuel standout Ashley claimed his second consecutive Texas NHRA FallNationals win last year when he defeated Austin Prock in the final round. Ashley has been hot this season with six wins to his credit. If he wants to claim an NHRA world championship, he’ll need to get past current points leader Doug Kalitta, who has won the first two races in the Countdown to the Championship, Texas native Steve Torrence, defending world champion Brittany Force, Leah Pruett and Antron Brown.

Reigning Funny Car world champion Capps defeated Matt Hagan in the 2022 Dallas final, giving Capps his second consecutive Dallas win and third from the facility. Capps then went on to claim his third NHRA championship and second in a row. If he wants to make it three Dallas wins in a row, he’ll need to power past current points leader Robert Hight, Bob Tasca III, who won the most recent race to pull within 25 points of Hight, Hagan, John Force, J.R. Todd and Texan Chad Green.

Enders, a Texas native, wowed fans all throughout 2022 by collecting 10 NHRA titles en route to her fifth Pro Stock world championship. One of those 10 victories was her 2022 Texas NHRA FallNationals win, helping her clinch a championship a race later. If the Texan will want to earn her third Dallas win, she’ll need to get past points leader Matt Hartford, who holds a four-point lead over Enders, Troy Coughlin Jr., Dallas Glenn, who is 15 points out of first, Charlotte 2 winner Greg Anderson and Kyle Koretsky.

Pro Stock Motorcycle veteran Arana Jr. picked up his first win from Dallas last year when he took down Jerry Savoie, who has three wins from the facility, in the final round. Arana has one win on the 2023 season and is currently sitting third in the NHRA points standings. Leading the way is points leader Gaige Herrera, who has seven wins this season. Also hot in the mix is Eddie Krawiec, defending world champ Matt Smith, rookie Chase Van Sant and Angie Smith.

The Texas NHRA FallNationals also will feature thrilling competition in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, which includes some of the sport’s top drivers, as well as the penultimate race of the season in Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown. The weekend will also include the Jr. Dragster Shootout, as well as a jet dragster and wheelstander exhibition after nitro qualifying on Friday.

Fans will also be treated to the JEG’s Allstar event, which pits sportsman racers from across the country against each other for the ultimate drag racing battle. The popular competition will take place at the famed Texas Motorplex for the first time and the unique specialty race is one of most highly-anticipated events of the year.

Race fans at Texas Motorplex can enjoy the special pre-race ceremonies that introduce and celebrate each of the drivers racing for the prestigious Wally on Sunday and includes the fan favorite SealMaster Track Walk. The final can’t-miss experience of any NHRA event is the winner’s circle celebration on Sunday after racing concludes, where fans are invited to congratulate the Texas NHRA FallNationals event winners.

Leading into the race, fans can take part in several events as part of the Stampede for Speed, including a cattle drive and Scott Palmer Nitro Sideshow (October 6), Stars Over Texas Festival (October 7-8), celebrity media race and stampede warmup (October 9), Stampede of Speed Shootout (October 10), NHRA Fall Nationals professional testing (October 11), Champions’ Dinner (October 11, 6pm) and the NHRA FanFest in downtown Waxahachie (October 12), where fans can meet and get autographs from all the top stars in the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series.

Fans are invited to the Nitro Alley Stage all weekend, which will help create a festive atmosphere leading into Nitro Alley. The Nitro Alley Stage will be the main entertainment hub in the pits when the Camping World Drag Racing Series competitors are not on the track, hosting Nitro School, meet and greets and much more. As always, fans get a pit pass to the most powerful and sensory-filled motorsports attraction on the planet. Fans can see their favorite teams in action and servicing their hot rods between rounds, get autographs from their favorite NHRA drivers, and more. They can also visit NHRA’s Manufacturers Midway, where sponsors and race vendors create an exciting atmosphere that includes interactive displays, merchandise, food, and fun.

NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series qualifying will feature two rounds at 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. CT on Friday, Oct. 13, and the final two rounds of qualifying on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. Final eliminations are scheduled for 12:00 p.m. CT on Sunday, Oct. 16. Television coverage includes qualifying action on FS1 at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday and as well as action from eliminations at 3 p.m.
