RCR Event Preview – Bristol

Richard Childress Racing at Bristol Motor Speedway … In 181 NASCAR Cup Series starts on the pavement at Bristol Motor Speedway, Richard Childress Racing has scored nine wins, seven by Dale Earnhardt (both races in 1985 and 1987, plus victories in 1988, 1994 and 1999) plus Kevin Harvick (2005) and Jeff Burton (2008). The organization has also racked up 35 top-five and 71 top-10 finishes.

Back in the Playoffs … Richard Childress Racing enters Bristol Motor Speedway with three victories in NASCAR’s elite NASCAR Cup Series during the 2022 season. The Welcome, N.C., based company has two entries in the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs for the first time since 2017 (Austin Dillon and Ryan Newman).

This Week’s Bass Pro Shops / TRACKER Off Road Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 at Bristol Motor Speedway … In 17 NASCAR Cup Series starts at Bristol Motor Speedway, Dillon has one top-five and three top-10 finishes, including a career-best fourth-place finish in August 2016. The 2013 NASCAR Xfinity Series Champion has nine NASCAR Xfinity Series starts at the half-mile track with a win in 2016. He has also made three NASCAR Truck Series starts at Bristol Motor Speedway. This weekend’s Bass Pro Shops Night Race is the cutoff race for the Round of 16 in the NASCAR Playoffs, and Dillon enters the race below the cutoff line in 14th, just two points shy of advancing to the Round of 12.

Winner, Winner … Dillon has won at Bristol Motor Speedway on both the paved and dirt configurations. “Yeah, for sure. Bristol is going to be wild and anything can happen. We’ve given ourselves a good shot. Nobody knows what to expect when we get there, but it’s a long race. If you’re there at the end of the day, you’ve got a good shot to make it.”

This Week’s Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 at Bristol Motor Speedway … Tyler Reddick will be making his fourth NASCAR Cup Series start on pavement at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday evening. This will be the first time the Next Gen car will be on the concrete surface at Bristol. What are your thoughts entering this weekend?

“Every race in this round is very important for us. We have some really good tracks in this playoff run. Bristol has always been a good track but it is a bit of an unknown with this car. When I look at the trend of this car at the smaller tracks, you know, Bristol has always been an exciting place but I am certainly concerned with what the racing will look like. It may not be as crazy as some expect. There’s a lot of grip, we don’t have to peddle the car at all. We were actually working on Bristol a little bit on Saturday at Kansas. At first I was surprised, like wow, this is a lot of grip. It feels like you’re off the gas pedal as much as you would be on a mile-and-a-half. I think the speeds are going to be high enough there that I just don’t think someone is going to be able to move someone out of the way there. You’re pretty much going to have to go in there and hope you hit the guy because if you don’t, you’re going to go flying up into the wall and crash. It could be chaotic and if things stack up you could have some action but I don’t think it’s going to be the type of race where people are moving each other out the way because I don’t think you’re going to be able to get there.”

This Week’s Whelen Engineering Chevrolet Camaro SS at Bristol Motor Speedway … Sheldon Creed will head to Bristol Motor Speedway for the first time in his NASCAR Xfinity Series career. Creed has made three starts at the track during his time in the NASCAR Truck Series. In those three starts, he tallied a best finish of sixth in 2019 and in 2021, he started from the pole. He led 189 laps in 2021, too.

Playoff Goals … This weekend marks the last race before the start of the Playoffs, which means this is Creed’s last chance to make it into the 12-driver post-season field. He is in a close battle with Landon Cassill and Ryan Sieg. Creed is currently 32 points below the cutline, in 13th. His only way to make the Playoff field is with a win.

You are in a close battle for the final Playoff position. Does that change your approach to the race?

“I mean, points racing is never fun. We’re just going to go out there and do our best, like this team always does. We’re going to show up with the best Whelen Chevrolet we can and treat it like we’re going to the Championship 4. We just need be on our A game and stay focused on the ultimate goal at Bristol, winning. We need to go out and practice well and qualify in a good spot to get max stage points and give ourselves a shot to win at the end. I’ve been doing a lot of research with my team, working hard on strategy and preparation for the race. We were looking at where Myatt Snider ran last year at Bristol and previous years with RCR because they’ve been pretty decent there. I’ve been doing my homework with Josh Wise this week, working in the simulator and I’m going to give it everything I’ve got this weekend.”

This Week’s Bennett Transportation & Logistics Chevrolet Camaro SS at Bristol Motor Speedway … Austin Hill will make his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut at Bristol Motor Speedway on Friday night in the No. 21 Bennett Transportation & Logistics Chevrolet. Hill has made six starts at the Tennessee track during his time in the NASCAR Truck Series. In those six starts, he has a best finish of 10th from 2019. Hill is currently locked into the Playoffs, which start next weekend at Texas Motor Speedway for the Xfinity Series. With his two wins, nine top fives and 15 top-10 finishes, Hill is currently sixth in the Playoff standings.

Hailie Deegan qualified 18th for the UNOH 200 presented by Ohio Logistics at Bristol Motor Speedway. Immediately after taking the green flag, the 21 year old noted the truck would need to turn better in order to make progress despite running top-five speeds in the early going. She began stage two in 14th, electing to short-pit with 15 to go and attempt to carry out the remainder of the race. The strategy would pay dividends as the Monster Energy Ford F-150 went from 28th to 17th to close Stage 2 and restart in seventh when the remaining cars pitted, Deegan ran as high as sixth before her older tires started to show, eventually rendering her to a 14th-place finish despite spending the majority of the final stage fighting within the top-10 on old tires.

Tanner Gray, No. 15 Ford Performance Ford F-150

Tanner Gray qualified 26th for UNOH 200 and was up to 21st when the first yellow flag was displayed on lap 38. Fighting an extremely loose F-150, Mike Hillman Jr. called the No. 15 down pit road for adjustments with the intention of staying out at the stage break. Gray rejoined the field in 22nd and finished Stage 1 in 18th. The track position proved beneficial at the start of Stage 2 as Gray fired off ninth and advanced to seventh by stage end. The team focused on helping the front turn of the during the second stage break and the Ford driver lined up in 19th for the final stage. Gray battled hard and searched all over the half-mile track trying to drive forward throughout the remainder of the race, but the difficulty to make passes proved too much and he crossed the finish line in 17th.

Taylor Gray, No. 17 Dead on Tools Ford F-150

Taylor Gray qualified 17th for Thursday’s 200-lap event at Bristol Motor Speedway. The Dead On Tools F-150 fought some instability early as Gray was too free in the center. During the first round of pit spots, the No. 17 fell to the back of the field after a hangup on the left side. However, the balance returned to Gray’s F-150 as the night wore on, climbing to fifth following a cycle of pit stops to end Stage 2. Some more gremlins would plague Gray during the final stage, with the truck repeatedly popping out of gear while sustaining a hole in the right front. Needing valuable track position, Gray refrained from any additional pit stops the rest of the night. With passing being quite tricky throughout the race, Gray worked his way back to 16th before the checkered flag flew at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Next event: Talladega 250 at Talladega Superspeedway in Talladega, Alabama on October 1 at 12:30 p.m. ET.

MAJESKI CLAIMS CHAMPIONSHIP 4 NASCAR TRUCK SERIES BERTH WITH UNOH 200 WIN AT BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY

BRISTOL, Tenn. (Sept. 15, 2022) — Ty Majeski downplayed his final run in Thursday night’s UNOH 200 presented by Ohio Logistics at Bristol Motor Speedway as “just another restart.”

In reality, it was the most important moment to date in Majeski’s hardscrabble career.

Streaking away from Zane Smith after a restart with 12 laps left in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series’ Round of 8 Playoff race, Majeski scored the first NASCAR national series victory of his career and claimed the first berth in the Nov. 4 Championship 4 finale at Phoenix Raceway.

“Awesome job! Thank you!” Majeski radioed to crew chief Joe Shear Jr. as he crossed the finish line. “Let’s polish this baby up, and let’s take this thing to Phoenix.”

To preserve the lightning-fast No. 66 ThorSport Racing Toyota that had carried him to victory, the short-track ace eschewed the customary burnout on the frontstretch, eliciting some good-natured boos from fans in the grandstands.

But nothing could dampen Majeski’s mood.

“Man, this is unbelievable,” said the 28-year-old from Seymour, Wisconsin. “I’ve been waiting for an opportunity like this… We came guns blazing for this race, took our best truck. Joe was aggressive on pit strategy—got us out front, and we were able to get it done.

“This is so cool. My career’s been so up-and-down… This is just damn cool—I’ve been waiting for this for a long time.”

Smith started from the rear of the field because of transmission issues that prevented him from qualifying. But after pitting under the first caution for Josh Reaume’s accident on Lap 37, Smith finished the race without returning to pit road.

The strategy put Smith in the lead for 39 laps, but Majeski had the superior truck and made the winning pass during a restart on Lap 156. He kept Smith at bay on two late restarts to seal the victory.

“A good salvage of the night,” said Smith, who crossed the finish line 1.152 seconds behind the race winner. “I tried matching the 66 (on the restarts). I did the first time, but on the second time, he just got me. He was ultimately just better than us. Still, a never-give-up kind of night. That’s what it takes to get to the final four.”

Non-Playoff driver Parker Kligerman ran third, followed by Grant Enfinger, who fell below the cut line for the Championship 4 with two races left in the Round of 8. Matt Crafton was fifth, followed by pole winner Derek Kraus in a battle of non-Playoff drivers.

Chandler Smith led a race-high 89 laps and won the first two stages but was forced to pit for tires and fuel after the second stage and lost track position. He finished ninth behind fellow Playoff drivers Stewart Friesen and Christian Eckes.

Chandler Smith heads for the second Round of 8 race, Oct. 1 at Talladega Superspeedway, 24 points above the cut line.

Playoff driver John Hunter Nemechek slammed the outside wall during practice earlier in the day and started from the rear in a backup truck. He finished 12th.

Reaume, who spun sideways into the path of sliding Rajah Caruth’s Chevrolet on Lap 37, climbed from his truck after the driver’s-side impact but was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.

Quote: You know what happened tonight, you finished in the Top-5, but still fall below that cut line, so what do you take away from Bristol?

“Yeah, I mean honestly, we’re in the same position that we were coming here. I feel like we are in a must-win situation, but we gave it everything we could. We had a pretty okay Champion Power Equipment Chevy. If we could have gotten out to the lead, we could have stole it. But running fifth, we were a fifth place truck; running fifteenth, we were a fifteenth place truck. It is what it is, we made the right call to try and win the race there. I don’t know if we were good enough to do that, but that was the strategy that we chose. I think we would have balanced out either way points wise, but we would have had a worse finish if we opted for the stage points. But overall, we were making gains; anytime we show up to a short track, we want to contend for a win, and we didn’t do that tonight. [I was] hoping to steal one tonight, but congratulations to Ty and those guys, they did a great job tonight.”

Yeah, he was able to get his first win. Now, you are a student of the sport, I know that you watch all of these guys and watch how these races unfold, but as you look ahead to these next two races in this Round of 8, what do you need to do inside of the truck?

“I think we need to be aggressive and go for a win, you know? Yeah, it’s possible to point our way in, but I’m not banking on that. Obviously, we’re going to Talladega, the hometown track next, which is enjoyable, but definitely you can’t count on anything there. But I’m really looking forward to finishing the year off strong. I feel like we’ve got an opportunity to win anytime we show up. You know Hensley and I have run really well at Homestead as well. I feel like we can win either of these next two, and that’s what we’ve got to do.”

(September 15, 2022) – Ty Majeski became the first driver locked into the Championship 4 as the Wisconsin-native earned his first career victory at Bristol Motor Speedway on Thursday evening. He led the final 45 laps and drove away on the final restart to claim the victory. Majeski earned the win in his first career Truck Series start at the facility. It is Majeski’s first career Championship 4 berth in his first full-time Truck Series season competing for ThorSport Racing.

What is the feeling after your first career NASCAR Truck Series win?

“This is unbelievable. I’ve been waiting for an opportunity like this. Thank you to Duke, Rhonda and Allison Thorson, thank you for this opportunity. Just so proud to be here. We came guns blazing for this race and brought our best truck. Joe (Shear, crew chief) was aggressive on pit strategy, got us out front and we were able to get it done. This is so cool, and my crew has been so up and down. There’s been a lot of people who have helped get me to this point. I know my Late Model guys are watching back at the shop and they’re a big part of me getting here. My parents, my fiancé, this is just damn cool. Road Ranger, Toyota, TRD and all that they do for us – I’ve been waiting for this for a long time.

How were you able to hold off Zane Smith on the final restart?

“Just had to do what I do. I’ve been in that position a lot in my career Late Model racing, and we’ve been fortunate enough to win a lot of races and this was just another restart. “

What does it mean to win at Bristol and for it to be your first career victory, locking yourself into the Final Four in Phoenix?

“Feels so good man. We came with this plan and obviously it’s a tall task to win at any of these races. I’ve been in that position a lot as a Late Model guy, and I’ve been fortunate enough to be in the position to win a lot of races and I’ve been in that position a lot. Just another late-race restart on a half-mile. Just so cool for these guys, they’ve been working hard all year. Duke (Thorson), Rhonda (Thorson) – thank you for this opportunity. It’s awesome to get this Road Ranger Toyota in victory lane. This is a dream come true.”

With three consecutive top-10 finishes coming into this race, did it feel like it was all coming together?

“I hope so. I feel like we’ve been peaking at the right time. We’ve had a really good back-half of the year and a really good first round. We really wanted to go to Talladega and not have anything to worry about and that meant winning this race and we did it.”

Has it sunk in yet that you will compete for a NASCAR championship in Phoenix?

“Man, we’re going to enjoy this one and this is the truck we’re taking back over there so we’re going to go polish it up and fluff on it for the next month or so and bring a winner to Phoenix.”

Do you feel like you did enough today as you run towards the Championship 4?

“I guess it is an okay day. I don’t know how stage points really matter – every little bit counts, especially if two drivers win these next two races and they’re Playoff drivers. It’s always good, so we can point our way in. We want to go to Talladega or Miami and win it, so we don’t have to worry about it. We had this one circled for us to win. I felt like we had a dominant truck. We had a really, really fast Safelite Toyota Tundra TRD Pro tonight. Once we went stage racing, they played track position at the very end and the 66 (Ty Majeski) and 38 (Zane Smith) were able to get up front. Us and the 52 (Stewart Friesen) were the only two that passed all night. I don’t know how to fix that. It wasn’t good fun racing; I can promise you that. Us as a group, we were just a little bit too tight coming back through the field. I felt like if we were freer, we would have had something for them, but we ran so many caution laps as well. We would have probably run out of time no matter what.”

Can you talk about your race after having to go to a back-up truck?

“We had a fast truck in practice. We got behind by blowing a right front tire. All of my guys scrambled hard and gave us a fast piece. Racing here sucked tonight, honestly. I don’t want to say that, but you couldn’t pass. It was super hard to pass. Heck, the 38 (Zane Smith) and I started in the back, almost went a lap down early on, running the bottom, couldn’t really make the bottom work. I thought the PJ1 was going to wear out tonight, and it didn’t. We were just one adjustment behind, I feel like, all night. You get that when you get behind from the start of the race.”

Toyota driver Sammy Smith earns two ARCA titles in Bristol

BRISTOL, Tenn. (September 15, 2022) – Camry driver Sammy Smith won two ARCA Menards Series titles with a win at Bristol Motor Speedway on Thursday evening. Smith claimed his second consecutive ARCA East title, while also walking away with his first Sioux Chief Showdown championship as well.

The 18-year-old has delivered consistent race results across all ARCA Menards Series racing action this season. In ARCA East competition, Smith won five of the seven events, with top-five finishes in the balance. In the 10-race Sioux Chief Showdown title chase, the Toyota development driver has scored top-five finishes in every start, with victories at Berlin Raceway and Elko Speedway in June, the Milwaukee Mile in August and Bristol Motor Speedway this evening.

“Sammy has consistently run up front since first competing in ARCA competition just one season ago,” said Paul Doleshal, Group Manager, Motorsports and Assets, Toyota Motor North America (TMNA). “We are happy to help him celebrate these accomplishments and look forward watching him continue to grow as part of the Toyota Racing driver development program.”

Smith drives a Toyota Camry for Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) in ARCA competition. This is the first two ARCA championships for KBM. TPC Racing Competes for Two Porsche Sprint Challenge Titles this Weekend in Season Finale at Circuit of The Americas

  • Season-High Five TPC Racing Entries Arrive at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) Set for Competitive Close to 2022 Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama Season

AUSTIN, Texas (September 15, 2022) – TPC Racing brings its season-high five entries to Circuit of The Americas (COTA) this weekend for a Saturday and Sunday doubleheader on the 3.426-mile Formula 1 road course that brings the 2022 Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama season to a close.

The five-strong TPC entry includes at least one car entered in each of the three classes competing this weekend across two Porsche Sprint Challenge series. Even better, two of TPC’s contenders come to COTA battling for a pair of Porsche GT3 Cup class season championships.

David Williams secured TPC Racing’s best results in the most recent race weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) two weeks ago with a pair of fourth-place finishes Saturday and Sunday in the top-tier Porsche GT3 Cup 992 class. The IMS results were the latest in a season-long run of consistent and competitive races for Williams that have collectively moved him into title contention in his No. 37 Mission BBQ Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in his first season of racing with TPC since 2015.

Williams comes to COTA a season-high second in the 992 championship rankings with 511 points, 53 points out of first place and 47 points ahead of the third-place competitor.

The other TPC title contender is Michael Levitas who is second in points in the Porsche Sprint Challenge 991 class for slightly older GT3 Cup models. Similar to Williams, Levitas has built his championship assault on a string of consistency that includes six podium finishes this season.

Levitas has scored top-three results on four of the year’s first six race weekends, including going two-for-two in podium finishes in the season-opening event at Sebring International Raceway and another podium sweep last month at Road America. He secured a second and third-place finish at Sebring and a pair of runner-up placings at Road America in addition to second at VIRginia International Raceway (VIR) and third at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

Fifth in the 991 point standings prior to Road America just two races ago, Levitas has charged to second in the championship coming into Texas in his No. 36 Erin Levitas Foundation/TPC Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. Levitas and the No. 36 team are just 43 points behind the 991-class championship leader and 16 points ahead of the third-place competitor.

Levitas and Williams have shared the victory lane podium at COTA in the past after a memorable and title-clinching IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge race in 2013. Competing in the Gold Cup class, Levitas wrapped up that season’s Gold Cup championship with a second place finish and was joined on the podium by his teammate Williams who finished third.

The third full-season TPC Racing entry closing out the season at COTA this weekend is Rob Lorndale in his No. 6 TPC Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in the 991 class. Lorndale has the most recent experience at COTA of the team’s five drivers after participating in the inaugural Porsche Sprint Challenge race in Austin early last year.

A consistent season of results has moved Lorndale into a position to possibly crack the top five in the final 991 championship standings at COTA. He heads into the weekend’s doubleheader in sixth place with 424 points, just 50 points behind the fifth place competitor and trailing the fourth place driver by 51 points.

Canadian driver Shaun McKaigue is set for his third race weekend with TPC at COTA following the doubleheaders at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in July and two weeks ago at Indy. He backed up 10th place race finishes at Mid-Ohio with a 12th place in the first race at Indy and is targeting a pair of season-best results to close out the year at COTA.

Rhamses Carazo gave TPC Racing a positive return to the Porsche Sprint Challenge Cayman class at Indy in the No. 711 TPC Racing Porsche Cayman. After surviving a rain-soaked first race Saturday at Indy, Carazo was on a quick pace in Sunday’s finale, improving nine positions for a 15th place finish in his first full race weekend in five years. Carazo returns to the TPC No. 711 Cayman for this weekend’s finale in his first appearance at COTA in several years.

A three-day weekend event, the Porsche Sprint Challenge season-finale at COTA begins with practice on Friday, September 16. Qualifying Saturday morning sets the stage for the first of two weekend races for both the GT3 and Cayman divisions later that day at 4:20 p.m. CDT and 2:30 p.m. CDT, respectively. Sunday’s final rounds – all races are 35 minutes plus one additional lap – close out the weekend with the Cayman sprint going green at 10:20 a.m. CDT and GT3 wrapping the weekend at 12:20 p.m. CDT.

Harris Levitas, TPC Racing Director of Race Operations: “For the season finale of the Porsche Sprint Challenge series, the TPC Racing team sits currently second in both the 992 and 991 championships. We have a long season of momentum going in. The whole year has just been about being consistent, and obviously trying to win when possible, but collecting points in every race has been very important. We have been able to execute on that, and the team has done an amazing job the entire year. Without their hard work and dedication, we wouldn’t be in the position that we are in. We are preparing for the season finale with two days of testing this week to get everybody acclimated to the track and familiar with everything about this great facility. We are excited to be at COTA, the drivers really like this track, and we are ready to see what we can do to close out the championship. Both David Williams and Michael Levitas have all had great experiences here and it’s been good. The track has changed quite a bit since they were here – and even since the last time we were here in early 2021 as a team – in a few areas of the surface, but our two days of testing will get us up to speed on the chassis setup. We should be in a good spot.”

I hope to finish the season here with two solid races. We are fortunate to have a couple test days. I’ll be able to get reacquainted with the track and hopefully make some improvements.”

Rhamses Carazo, Driver – No. 711 TPC Racing Porsche Cayman: “I am hoping for the same results as Indy – the middle of the pack – but I think we can do a little bit better. I am more comfortable in the car now. I have driven a BMW here a few years ago but I think our Porsche is going to be faster in everything. COTA is a bit more challenging and a really fun track.”

Shaun McKaigue, Driver – No. 34 TPC Racing Porsche 911 GT3: “This is my first time at COTA in a long time. I last raced here around five years ago and really enjoyed the track. It’s a spectacular facility and obviously one of the more impressive venues that we go to for sure. I had fun on the first day of our test getting reacquainted with the track, lots of work yet to do, but with all of the help and coaching I am getting from the TPC Racing crew I am confident we are going to get to the place where we need to go to be competitive for the upcoming weekend. The track is aging well. As a guy who really enjoys Sebring, I don’t have any real criticism of COTA. It all brings a little more character to the track and adds a degree of difficulty. I don’t have any issues with it whatsoever.”

I can’t thank enough my teammates, my team and my son, Harris, who has just done an amazing job putting all of this together. We are going to end this season really strong, my goal is to win, and we are going to take it to them there.”

SMITH DOMINATES BUSH’S BEANS 200, CAPTURES PAIR OF CHAMPIONSHIP TITLES IN ARCA SERIES

BRISTOL, Tenn. (Sept. 15, 2022) — Sammy Smith capped off a championship night Thursday with a dominant victory in the ARCA Menards Series Bush’s Beans 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Smith clinched a pair of titles at The Last Great Colosseum: the ARCA Menards East Series championship and the Sioux Chief Showdown title.

“It means a lot,” Smith said. “I was telling these guys the two championships mean a lot, but it wouldn’t be the same if we didn’t win the race. Thanks to them and all the guys who work hard all season. Glad we were able to pull it off.”

Smith started on the pole and led 189 of the 200 laps around Bristol’s high-banked concrete oval, passing Toyota teammate Brandon Jones on lap 11 and pacing the field the rest of the race.

Jones, though, made things interesting after a caution bunched the field for a two-lap shootout to the checkered flag. Smith took the outside lane for the restart, and he and Jones raced side by side for nearly a lap.

“That was a tough restart there,” Smith said. “Glad we were able to pull it off.”

A slip heading into Turn 3 forced Jones to check up and allowed Smith to drive away.

“It came to life those last 30 laps or so, and I really started to catch Sammy,” Jones said. “I think he got trapped in some traffic as well. … I gave it all I had, and I think I just got in too deep down in Turns 3 and 4. Kicking myself a little bit; that was kind of a dumb move on my behalf. But we were trying to go for it. Gosh, we only had one lap left.

“It would have been tough to beat him. Maybe if I could’ve stayed side by side for another lap, it would have been a different story.”

Jones finished second, with Taylor Gray third, Rajah Caruth fourth and Daniel Dye fifth. Parker Chase was sixth, followed by Andres Perez de Lara (in his series debut), Andy Jankowiak, Connor Mosack and Jesse Love.

ARCA Menards Series points leader Nick Sanchez finished 12th, allowing Dye to close the lead to five points with two races remaining in the 2022 season. Caruth is third, 30 points back.

The 10-race Sioux Chief Showdown is held on short tracks and road courses and is designed to be a competition between drivers who may not be old enough to compete for the full ARCA Menards Series title and those who are.

Smith won four of the 10 Sioux Chief Showdown races.

Smith, who is also entered in the Food City 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series race on Friday, also won the ARCA Menards Series East title in 2021.

Relays are often used in vehicles in which the headlight systems are controlled by a computer to manage both the low and the high beams.

The headlight relays are prone to failure over time, similar to any other form of a relay. That will cause the headlights bulbs to stop working properly. You need to take care of this problem immediately.
