New Hampshire NASCAR Xfinity Series Advance
No. 98 Monster Energy Ford Mustang for Stewart-Haas Racing

NASCAR Xfinity Series Overview

• Event: Crayon 200 (Round 18 of 33)
• Date: Saturday, July 16
• Location: New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon
• Layout: 1.058-mile oval
• Time/TV/Radio: 2:30 p.m. EDT on USA/PRN/SiriusXM NASCAR Radio

Riley Herbst Notes of Interest

• Riley Herbst and the No. 98 Monster Energy team of Stewart-Haas Racing are riding a wave of consistency heading into Saturday’s Crayon 200 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon. They head to the Granite State on a three-race top-10 streak that began with a third-place finish June 25 at Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway followed by a seventh-place drive July 2 at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, and then a ninth-place result last Saturday at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

• The Crayon 200 will mark Herbst’s 94th career Xfinity Series start. In total, he has 14 top-fives and 46 top-10s dating back to his first career start on June 17, 2018, at Iowa Speedway in Newton, where he finished an impressive sixth as a 19-year-old. While he has just one previous Xfinity Series start at New Hampshire, which resulted in a 10th-place finish last July, he has two NASCAR K&N Pro Series East starts at the 1.058-mile oval, finishing fourth in 2018 and sixth in 2019.

• Only nine races remain until the Xfinity Series Playoffs kick off Sept. 24 at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, and Herbst finds himself in solid position to make the 12-driver field. He is currently ninth with 582 points, 141 ahead of Anthony Alfredo, who is the first driver below the cutoff line. A win would clinch a spot for Herbst, but the 23-year-old racer from Las Vegas can also point his way in by continuing his string of strong finishes through the final regular-season race Sept. 16 at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway.

• Herbst is on track to have a career year in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. In the 17 races run this season, Herbst has earned five top-fives and 12 top-10s, and has finished all but two races. He’s already matched his career-high total of top-fives in a season, first earned last year, and he’s only five top-10s away from matching his career high of 17 in that category as well, which he accomplished in 2020. He’s still in search of his first Xfinity Series victory, but he’s been knocking on the door this season with a pair of third-place finishes – May 7 at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway and June 25 at Nashville.

• SHR has contested five Xfinity Series races at New Hampshire and never finished outside the top-10. Herbst scored the organization’s most recent top-10 last July. In 2019, Chase Briscoe drove the No. 98 Ford Mustang to a sixth-place finish at New Hampshire. Cole Custer made the other three starts at the 1.058-mile oval between 2017-2019, with a best result of second in 2019 wheeling SHR’s No. 00 Ford Mustang.

Riley Herbst, Driver of the No. 98 Monster Energy Ford Mustang

You’ve been on a strong run ever since the Xfinity Series returned to racing June 25 at Nashville following a two-week break. Did that time off help you and the No. 98 Monster Energy team regroup as you head into these final races before the playoffs begin?

“That two-week break was something we all needed. Those final two races before that were not our best, so I think it was just time to regroup and strategize about what we needed to do to not only make the playoffs, but win. While we weren’t traveling, the entire No. 98 team was working and preparing for that first race back at Nashville. I can’t thank the guys enough for their hard work each and every week.”

While you only have one Xfinity Series start at New Hampshire, you have two starts there in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, and both resulted in top-six finishes. Is New Hampshire another track that fits your driving style?

“I like New Hampshire and I feel I’ve been able to perform well there, but I enjoy going to a lot of different tracks. You can be successful anywhere, and I’ll put in the same amount of work as I do when it’s a track that’s more difficult for me. With that said, I’m excited to head to New Hampshire and have a good weekend there. I think it’s another strong track where we can contend for the win.”

You have a comfortable cushion in the current playoff standings as you’re 141 points above the top-12 cutoff line. What’s the strategy as you head into these final nine races of the regular season?

“The ultimate goal is to win and lock in our spot, but we also have to be conscious that we’re in a good spot to make it on points. It’s all about balancing when to take risks and when to go for points. I feel like we’ll have chances in these final nine races to go for the win, but we also have to be smart about keeping our point advantage. There are still positions to gain in front of us, so it’s really all about strategy. I think Richard (Boswell, crew chief) is really good about knowing when to go for it and when to play it safe.”

Kurt Busch Eyes Strong Finish at Sunday’s Ambetter 301

Veteran 23XI Racing driver looks to build momentum ahead of the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs with a standout performance at “The Magic Mile.”

LOUDON, N.H. – With seven races remaining in the NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) season, Kurt Busch is comfortably in the Playoffs by virtue of a win at Kansas and a consistent season overall for his 23XI Racing team. Now, the three-time winner at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) turns his attention to building momentum ahead of the post season, beginning with Sunday’s Ambetter 301.

This weekend marks Busch’s 39th start at “The Magic Mile,” where he has earned 15 top- 10s, eight top-fives and three wins on his career.

Despite his success at the 1.058-mile track, Busch said there are a lot of different challenges for drivers to overcome in order to make their way to victory lane.

“It’s mainly the corner entry and the braking zones at New Hampshire,” he said. “And then, turn three seems to get rougher and rougher each year, just with settling or track aging. It makes it a challenge to carve through there. If you get that right, that usually leads to a good day.”

Sunday’s Ambetter 301 marks the debut of NASCAR’s radically-redesigned NCS car at NHMS. Busch recognizes that, despite his past success at NASCAR’s only New England track, teams will be starting from scratch with their notes, which should provide plenty of action on the track as they race to adjust to the challenge of the NextGen car.

“As a race unfolds, there are so many challenges with this new car you’ve got to be ready to roll and be quick on your feet,” he said. “The NextGen car, it doesn’t like to be sideways. As soon as you step her out, she’s gone. The old car, you were rewarded with how far you could get her sideways because of the side force and the aero side. It’s a different feel, and it’s been a big challenge this year.”

“You’ve just got to stay consistent. You just have to run with the mindset of, ‘we’ve got to be a fifth-place car to put ourselves in position to win, but yet we can’t push too hard to be fifth.’ This car just has that razorblade edge.”

If Busch’s 23XI Racing team finds a way to ride that razor’s edge to victory lane on Sunday, he’ll join Kevin Harvick and Jeff Burton as the winningest NCS drivers in NHMS history. Perhaps more importantly in his eyes, Busch said a strong run at the Ambetter 301 would provide his team with crucial information ahead of the season finale at Phoenix, a similar style track that will ultimately decide this season’s NCS championship.

“Back in the day with the September race (at NHMS), it was the door to a championship run,” he said. “Now you can use it as a sister racetrack to Phoenix. Phoenix is the championship race, and New Hampshire is the same style track – it’s a flat, one-mile track. It’s an important, sneaky race because of how you can use it as prep for a championship run.”

Patriot’s Day
This weekend’s NCS event at New Hampshire is in the home territory of RFK’s co-owners, the Fenway Sports Group. FSG is based out of Boston, Massachusetts, and is located just 82 miles from New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Niner Niner
RFK has won in all three of NASCAR’s major touring series at New Hampshire, including seven times in the NCS and once each in Xfinity and the Truck Series. Jeff Burton drove the No. 99 to RFK’s first NCS win at Loudon back in 1997, while Greg Biffle earned the most recent win in 2008. Kurt Busch went to victory lane in 2000 in the trucks while Carl Edwards picked up the win in 2006 in Xfinity series action.

Four in a Row

RFK won at least one NCS race at New Hampshire in four consecutive seasons from 1997-2000, with former driver Burton taking the checkered flag on each occasion. In addition, RFK swept both races at New Hampshire in 2004 with former driver Busch.

Wicked Good Domination

Former RFK driver Burton posted one of the most dominating wins in NASCAR history at New Hampshire on Sept. 17, 2000, with Burton qualifying on the front row (second) and leading all 300 laps of the event en route to his fourth victory at the New England track. RFK has led over 100 laps in NCS action at New Hampshire on six different occasions, including leading over 150 laps four times and over 190 laps three times. All-in-all, RFK has led 1,557 laps at New Hampshire in the NCS.

Xfinity in ‘The Granite State’

RFK has started 45 NASCAR Xfinity Series races at New Hampshire, earning one win, nine top-fives and 19 top-10s. RFK’s lone victory came with former driver Edwards in the July 2006 event after starting ninth and leading 58 laps en route to the win.

Magic Mile up Next for Burton, Motorcraft/Quick Lane Team

Fresh off their best showing of the season, a 10th-place run on Sunday at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Harrison Burton and the No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane team are hoping to keep the momentum up in this weekend’s Ambetter 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

It will mark Burton’s first run at New Hampshire in a Cup Series car, but he does have a top-five there in the Xfinity Series. And, he and crew chief Brian Wilson have accumulated data this season at similar tracks that should be a help as the Motorcraft/Quick Lane team takes on the relatively flat one-mile oval.

That’s all in addition to the boost that comes with a Cup-career-best finish for the rookie Burton at Atlanta.

“Last weekend in Atlanta was a great result for everyone on the No. 21 Ford team,” Wilson said. “I think that shows what we can do as we go to tracks a second time this year.

“At Gateway and Nashville we started to show signs of progress, but last weekend we were able to get the result of everyone’s hard work.”

“This week in New Hampshire we’re back to a first-time track for the 2022 season. Fortunately, the setups are historically similar to what you run at Phoenix, Richmond and Gateway. We also run the same Goodyear tire at all of those tracks.

“We’ll try to build on what we learned most recently at Gateway where we qualified ninth and showed competitive speed in the race.”

Practice for the Ambetter 301 is set for Saturday at 11:35 a.m. Eastern Time to be followed by qualifying at 12:20 p.m.

Sunday’s 301-lap race is scheduled to get the green flag just after 3 p.m. with TV coverage on USA Network.

Stage breaks are set for Laps 70 and 185.

TORONTO (July 13, 2022) – William Ashley is back as an official partner and the trophy provider of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES race on Sunday during the Honda Indy Toronto. The event makes its much-anticipated return to Exhibition Place this weekend, July 15-17, for the first time since 2019.

The celebrated retailer for tableware and home décor has provided every recent Honda Indy Toronto race winner and podium finisher with spectacular, custom-made trophies. These masterpieces are crafted from Waterford Crystal which is handblown in Waterford, Ireland. The first-place trophy takes 48 hours to make by one person and is etched by hand with a remarkable rendering of the Toronto skyline.

This year’s versions of the crystal trophies will be revealed tomorrow (July 14) with help from NTT INDYCAR SERIES driver Simon Pagenaud, the Honda Indy Toronto’s most recent winner, at 10 a.m. ET at William Ashley’s downtown Toronto flagship location.

Pagenaud dominated the 2019 race in Toronto, taking the checkered flag after leading 80 of 85 laps at the 2.874-kilometre, 11-turn street circuit. This year the veteran driver will pilot the No. 60 Meyer Shank Racing Honda as he looks to defend his win three years later.

“I can’t wait to go back to Toronto. It was such a great event back in 2019, and I won the race!” Pagenaud said. “It’s a race track that I really enjoy. I love the rhythm of the track, and it’s a place that I feel very comfortable at. We have an amazing street course package with Meyer Shank Racing, so obviously it’s a weekend that I’m really looking forward to. Hopefully we execute perfectly all weekend and end up with some hardware at the end.”

Media members are invited to attend the event at the William Ashley store at 131 Boor St. West at 10 a.m. ET tomorrow. The trophy will be revealed, and then Honda Indy Toronto President Jeff Atkinson and Pagenaud will be available for interviews.

CHEVROLET RACING IN NTT INDYCAR SERIES: Aiming for Street Course Perfection

Team Chevy Aims to Continue Perfect Run at INDYCAR Street Events
Chevrolet-powered IndyCars go for fourth street win of season in Toronto return

DETROIT (June 13, 2022) – For the first time in three years, Chevrolet and the rest of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES head north of the border as the series returns to Exhibition Place for the Honda Indy Toronto street race.

The 1.786-mile, 11-turn circuit hasn’t played host to INDYCAR since the 2019 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Chevy power from its 2.2-liter, twin-turbo V6 won that race – one of seven for Chevrolet in Toronto – and the goal is to return the Bowtie to victory circle again on its Canadian return.

“We’re all excited to return to Toronto,” said Rob Buckner, Chevrolet Program Manager for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. “Racing in front of the Canadian fans is a great experience. They’re incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the sport, which makes it even more special to go back. We’ve had a strong history at Toronto with a number of wins, poles and fast race laps. That and our level of success on street circuits this year bodes well for the chances of our Chevrolet teams to add to the tally this weekend.

“As at any street race, execution and strategy are key. Qualifying and track position will play huge roles in the outcome of the race. We’re ready to go all-out and help our teams start up front and stay there come Sunday.”

Chevrolet is a perfect three-for-three in street events this season with Toronto and Nashville still to go. It started with Team Penske’s Scott McLaughlin winning his first INDYCAR race at St. Petersburg to open the season. Penske teammate Josef Newgarden followed at Long Beach a few weeks later, and Will Power scored another victory for Chevrolet and Team Penske at Belle Isle in early June.

Seven wins in 10 Toronto races since 2012 gives Team Chevy great vibes for its Canadian return. Newgarden, this year driving the No. 2 PPG Chevrolet for Team Penske and second in points, is a two-time winner with victories in 2015 for CFH Racing and in 2017 for Penske. He also was the fastest qualifier in 2018.

Teammate Will Power, driver of the No. 12 Verizon Chevrolet and second in points, won in 2016 at Toronto under the Penske banner and sat on pole position in 2015 – one of seven for Team Chevy at Toronto. That year saw a remarkable performance from Chevrolet, which claimed the top eight positions at the end of the race.

Team Chevy also swept the podium in a Toronto doubleheader in 2014.

Chevrolet and the NTT INDYCAR Series resume the 2022 season with the Honda Indy Toronto at the Exhibition Place street circuit. The race starts at 3:15 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 17 and will stream live on Peacock at 3 p.m. ET. IndyCar Radio coverage on SiriusXM IndyCar Nation (Channel 160) also begins at 3 p.m. ET. Live timing and scoring will be available at racecontrol.indycar.com.

TEAM CHEVY QUOTES

DALTON KELLETT, NO. 4 K-LINE CHEVROLET, AJ FOYT RACING: “I’m most looking forward to the opportunity to race IndyCar in front of the hometown crowd. The Toronto Indy is one of the best street circuits we race on and I can’t wait to experience it in this car. I think the fans and the city are very excited to have us back, it should be a great turn out. It’s a very bumpy track with lots of pavement transitions, so you have to tune the suspension and dampers to handle those well. You don’t want to bottom out excessively, but also can’t sacrifice too much ride height. A big part of the challenge is knowing how much bumpiness and movement from the car that you’ll just have to accept as a characteristic of the track versus what needs to be tuned out to get the mechanical grip you need.”

PATO O’WARD, NO. 5 ARROW McLAREN CHEVROLET, ARROW McLAREN SP: “I haven’t been to Toronto in a couple years so I am excited to go back. I love the atmosphere, the fans are always great and the city is fantastic. It’s a perfect time to have an INDYCAR race, as it starts an important section of the championship. I’m looking forward to working with the No. 5 Arrow McLaren SP team and having a good race.”

FELIX ROSEQVIST, NO. 7 VUSE CHEVROLET, ARROW McLAREN SP: “I am really excited to be back in Toronto. I think it’s one of those great cities in the world that we all enjoy coming to. Personally, it’s always been a good track for me. I’ve had some really good memories in Toronto in junior categories and also in INDYCAR where I drove here last in 2019. It doesn’t mean we can arrive relaxed. We’re obviously working really hard to get an edge on the other teams, especially after not being there in two years, so rolling out strong is going to be key. I think the prep work is going to be the important thing, then execute and try to have a good race after a difficult one last round in Mid-Ohio.”

WILL POWER, NO. 12 VERIZON CHEVROLET, TEAM PENSKE: “The track is just difficult because there’s so many different levels of grip. Like, you never feel in the track, on top of the track, it’s sliding. The car never handles well. It’s kind of difficult to tell your engineer what to do because there’s so much compromise. Maybe it’s a track that it’s easy to make a mistake on. That’s why maybe veterans or people being around a bit longer don’t end up making mistakes. That might be the reason that you’ve seen champions win. Yeah, it’s a tough track. A lot of mayhem can happen there, a lot of mayhem.”

KYLE KIRKWOOD, NO. 14 ROKiT CHEVROLET, AJ FOYT RACING: “It’s great that we are able to get back on the streets of Toronto. Given this year’s trend, I am always looking forward to the street courses. Toronto is a track that I personally have a lot of experience at and can’t wait to see what it feels like in the Indy car. I believe we’ll have a shot of redeeming ourselves from Detroit where we should have finished easily in the top 10.”

CONOR DALY, NO. 20 BITNILE CHEVROLET, ED CARPENTER RACING: “It’s always wonderful going back to Toronto! It’s a great track and Canadian race fans are so passionate and really just incredible people. It’s been far too many years since INDYCAR has been there. I’ve not raced there for even longer, so I am very much looking forward to getting back on track and continuing our strong season. ECR has done well there in the past so I am very excited and hopefully we will leave with more trophies!”

RINUS VEEKAY, NO. 21 BITCOIN WITH BITNILE CHEVROLET, ED CARPENTER RACING: “I am very excited for my first Indy car race in Toronto! I had a few wins there in my Road to Indy career and I always loved the track. In the past, ECR has had quite a few good results at Toronto as well so I can’t wait to see how we do at that track! I think we will have a great car and I hope to go for a podium or a win!”

Photo by Christian Wiediger on Unsplash

Are you in the market for a new car? If so, there are a few things you need to know before you buy. Here are nine critical things to keep in mind before you make your purchase. Knowing what to look for ensures you get the best deal on a car that’s right for you. So read on to learn more!

1. Test Drive Potential Purchases

Your dream car might look great when advertised by a website marketing consulting firm on paper (or screen), but how does it handle in real life? The best way to find out is to take it for a test drive. This will give you a feel for the car’s acceleration, braking, and handling. It’s also an excellent opportunity to get a sense of the car’s features and see how they work in person.

2. Pay Attention to the Car’s Fuel Economy

One of the most important things to consider when buying a car is its fuel economy. After all, you’ll be spending a lot of time and money filling up the tank if you choose a gas guzzler. Luckily, there are plenty of fuel-efficient options on the market these days. So do your research and see which models get the best gas mileage.

3. Consider Your Budget

Of course, you’ll also need to consider your budget when buying a new car. But don’t just think about the sticker price. You’ll also need to factor in insurance, registration, and maintenance costs. Once you’ve considered all these expenses, you’ll have a better idea of which cars are indeed within your price range.

4. Do Your Research

There’s a lot to learn about any given car model. So before you buy, be sure to do your research. Read some reviews, compare features, and check out safety ratings. By taking the time to educate yourself, you’ll be better equipped to make an intelligent purchase.

5. Choose the Right Dealer

Not all car dealerships are created equal. Some are much more reputable than others. So when you’re ready to buy, take the time to find a dealer you can trust. Ask around for recommendations or read online reviews. Once you’ve found a few good options, you can confidently start shopping for your new car.

6. Get a Pre-Purchase Inspection

Even if you’re buying from a reputable dealer, getting a pre purchase car inspection Florida-based is still a good idea. This will give you peace of mind knowing that the car you’re about to buy is in good condition. Plus, it can help you negotiate a better price if problems are found.

7. Consider Your Financing Options

If you’re taking out a loan to finance your new car, shop around for the best interest rate. And if you’re paying cash, take advantage of any discounts or rebates available. Doing your homework can save you a lot of money in the long run.

8. Know Your Trade-In Value

If you’re trading in your old car, it’s important to know its trade-in value. This will give you a better idea of how much you can afford to spend on your new car. It’s also a good bargaining chip when negotiating with dealers.

9. Take Your Time

Finally, don’t rush into anything. Buying a car is a big decision, so take your time and weigh your options. If you’re patient and do your homework, you’re sure to find the perfect car for you.

Conclusion

These are just a few things you need to remember before buying a new car. By educating yourself, you can be sure to find the best deal on a vehicle that’s right for you. So don’t wait any longer; start your research today!

How to make money on rates, spending only 2 hours

Quite often you can come across the opinion that live betting cyprus is either a game of luck or outright cheating, but by no means a form of earning. However, if you seriously wonder how to make money from betting, you can discover completely unexpected things.

The most common type of such earnings is betting on sports. To do this, you need to understand different sports (or at least one), know about the current situation (who is in the lead, who is still a promising newcomer, etc.) and, of course, be ready to take risks because it is impossible to predict one hundred percent the result of a particular game.

What are bets, and how to make money on bookmaker bets?

You can make bets through a bookmaker – this organization takes players’ bets on the outcome of any events. So a bookmaker is a kind of intermediary.

How does this happen? A classic example in many famous movies is betting on a racetrack. In the office, before the game, the coefficient of the probability of winning this or that horse is determined based on current data and various forecasts, and they offer to make their bet. If a person bets on a well-known favorite, then, in case of success, his winnings will be smaller than if he bets on the most “hopeless” horse and wins. Another question – is it worth taking such a risk? If you are sure – it is worth it. If not – it is worth staying, so to speak, in the trend and not risking anything or finding an “average” option – bet on another participant.

When placing a bet, you are betting with the bookies themselves. And then, a lot depends on who among you is better versed in the issue, because it is precisely such a person who possesses knowledge about the correct coefficients of the result of the competition.

How to make money on bets – secrets

First, do not take the coefficients and forecasts of bookmakers as the truth in the last instance. They can also be wrong. Remember that you bet on one specific event, and the office accepts many bets on very different types of sports. And ordinary people who can make mistakes work there.

  • You may encounter an incorrect coefficient due to an error or even an incorrect calculation. This can be your chance for a good profit.
  • Of course, to make the correct calculation on your own and take advantage of the bookmaker’s mistake, you need to know this sport’s intricacies well. And maybe you have some additional information.
  • If you are sure your knowledge is comprehensive, feel free to place your bets!

Bookmaker fork. A fork is a situation when different bookmakers set different coefficients on bets. Why does this happen? Firstly, analysts’ forecasts may differ in each office, and secondly (and most often), it is intended to be so. Thus, bookmakers are reinsured and ensure their profit in any outcome. So what does it give you?

Calculate the amounts to bet on each event outcome, and you will be in the winnings either way. Pay attention to such an indicator as the checkmate (the average value of a random variable). In good cobs, on which you can make good money, this value is more than 5%. But most typically, checkmate does not exceed 1-2% for the most popular sports.

Analysis and mathematical calculation – this is the secret of making decent amounts by betting. And if these things are close to you, then the probability of success is high.
