MBS MOTORSPORTS MAKES BIG IMPRESSION IN PINTY’S DEBUT

(May 24, 2022) The first ever race by MBS Motorsports in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) this past weekend presented a few challenges. But when driver Daniel Bois crossed the finish line in the #31 MBS Chevrolet Sunday afternoon, the new outfit had met them all head on and turned many heads while establishing themselves as a group capable of competing with the best.

During Saturday practice an overheating issue limited Bois to only a single hot lap during the session but it was a good one. The water pump issue was solved and when qualifying was cancelled due to a weather event, the Sunday grid was set by practice times. Bois lined up 11th for the race.

A wet track to begin the 51-lap event was to the driver’s liking and Bois took advantage of conditions to quickly move the #31 MBS Chevrolet into the top ten. Steadily making progress as the track dried, Bois found himself running fourth, challenging for a podium finish in the late going. The race would go into overtime due to a couple of late caution periods, and unfortunately the #31 MBS Chevy ran out of fuel stranding Bois out on course for the final laps. Despite the tough break the MBS Motorsports team’s strong effort earned them a 12th place finish in their first ever Pinty’s race.

Quotes:
“I think we can say we experienced a bit of everything in our first race weekend. Faced adversity during practice and solved the issue. Lining up for the race 11th we improved our position in the early going and with a handful of laps left we were contending for a podium finish”.
“Unfortunately, you can’t predict how the race will end and I feel bad for everyone with MBS Motorsports that worked so hard this weekend that we didn’t get that podium”.
“Huge thanks to everyone on the team for all their hard work. I think we earned a lot of respect from everyone and showed we’re here to compete”.
“We want to thank everyone at CTMP as well for working so hard dealing with the serious weather conditions. And we can’t wait to get back in action here again on the Labour Day weekend”.
-Daniel Bois, Driver #31 MBS Motorsports Chevrolet

Kyle Busch – No. 51 Safelite Tundra Camping World Trucks Charlotte Preview

Kyle Busch: Driver, No. 51 Safelite® Toyota

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Overview:
Event: North Carolina Education Lottery 200, Race 10 of 23, 134 Laps –30/30/74; 201 Miles
Location: Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway (1.5-mile, quad-oval)
Date/Broadcast: May 27, 2022, at 8:30 p.m. ET on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR 90

The Report on ‘Rowdy’:

Owner-driver Kyle Busch gets behind the wheel of the No. 51 Safelite Tundra TRD Pro Saturday at Charlotte for his fourth of five NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts in 2022. Busch, the winningest driver in series history, enters Charlotte having won 37.4% (61/163) of the Truck Series races he has entered and finished first or second in 56.4% (92/163). In addition to his Truck Series leading 61 wins, ‘Rowdy’ also ranks first all-time among Truck Series drivers in driver rating (123.6), average finish (6.6) and is second in laps led (7,591).

Over his last 22 Truck Series starts, the talented wheelman has an average finish of 2.4 while recording 12 wins and seven runner-up finishes. This year in the Truck Series, he has an average finish of 2.7 with 63 laps led across his three starts with a runner-up finish at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway being his best result to date. He finished third in each of the last two events he entered: COTA and Martinsville (Va.) Speedway.

The No. 51 Tundra TRD Pro that ‘Rowdy’ will be piloting at Charlotte will carry the same flat white Safelite scheme that adorned it at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Tex. earlier this year, which is a reciprocal of Chandler Smith’s black No. 18 Safelite Tundra TRD Pro. At COTA the two engaged in a friendly challenge where the lower finished would clean all the windshields at KBM the following week. Busch’s third-place result was two spots better than Smith, but accepted Smith’s double or nothing bet for this week’s race.

Finishing ahead of Busch at Charlotte will be a tough task for Smith. Across 14 Truck Series starts at the 1.5-mile track Busch has eight wins, 12 top-five and 13 top-10 finishes. He has led 789 laps and has an average finish of 2.5. He picked up his first career Truck Series victory driving for Billy Ballew Motorsports at Charlotte in 2005.Over his last 10 Truck Series starts at the North Carolina track, he has won six times and in the other four events he finished in the runner-up position. In addition to his eight Truck Series wins, the Las Vegas native has nine Xfinity Series wins and one Cup Series victory in the Queen City.

Mardy Lindley returns to KBM for his second season atop the pit box of the No. 51 team. In addition to this year’s win with Corey Heim at Atlanta Motor Speedway, the No. 51 team produced three victories in Lindley’s first season as a crew chief at KBM, two with Busch and one with Martin Truex Jr. Before arriving at KBM, Lindley guided his drivers to 32 wins and four ARCA Menards Series East championships since 2013, including back-to-back titles with Sam Mayer the last two seasons. Additionally, he earned the ARCA Menards Series Sioux Chief Showdown championship with Mayer in 2020. Lindley’s one race atop the pit box at Charlotte resulted in an 20th-place finish with Drew Dollar last year.

Rowdy Energy, the enhanced hydration formula energy drink created by Busch and vendor partner Harris Teeter, a regional grocery chain, will adorn the bedtop of the No. 51 Tundra for Friday’s 134-lap race. Rowdy Energy Drink is currently available in 10 flavors, including seven sugar free options that are KETO certified. Use Rowdy Energy’s store locator at https://rowdyenergy.com/pages/store-locator to find where you can pick up a can today, or order online at www.rowdyenergy.com.

Busch will make his fifth and final Truck Series start of 2022 June 4 at Sonoma (Calif.) Raceway. Yahoo, a global media and tech company that connects people to their passions, will serve as the primary sponsor on his No. 51 Tundra TRD Pro.

Kyle Busch, Driver Q&A:
Are you looking forward to this week’s Truck Series race at Charlotte?
“I love racing Charlotte in the trucks because there is a lot of throttle on time and the enjoyment of diving into the corners and feeling the load that you feel. Turns 1 and 2 are different than 3 and 4, so you have to attack them differently. I think knowing those differences helps me as a driver versus maybe some of the other drivers that try do drive both ends the same – you just can’t do it. Charlotte has always been a race that I like to run on my Truck Series schedule because it’s always cool to have a lot of the employees from KBM and their families out at the track and when you are able to win and have those people there to celebrate with you in victory lane it makes it extra special.”

Kyle Busch Camping World Truck Series Career Highlights:

  • Busch has a total of 163 Camping World Trucks starts and is ranked first all-time in wins (61), driver rating (123.6) and average finish (6.6).
  • The 37-year-old driver has won 37.4% (61/163) of the NCWTS races he has entered and finished first or second in 56.4% (92/163).
  • Busch stands alone as the leader in all-time career wins in NASCAR’s national touring series with 223 total victories. He has earned 60 NASCAR Cup Series wins, 102 NASCAR Xfinity Series wins, and 61 NCWTS wins.
  • In August of 2010, Busch made history when he won the NCWTS, NXS and NCS races at Bristol Motor Speedway, becoming the only driver to sweep all three of NASCAR’s top three series at one track on the same weekend. He then repeated the feat in August of 2017.
  • Kyle Busch’s No. 51 Safelite Tundra:

KBM-69: The No. 51 Safelite team will race KBM-69 for Friday’s race at Charlotte. Busch has finished runner-up each time he has gotten behind the wheel of this Tundra TRD Pro; earlier this year at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway and last year at Las Vegas. In its most recent outing, Corey Heim finished 22nd with it at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway earlier this month.

KBM Notes of Interest:

  • Across 33 starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway, KBM drivers have earned seven wins, three poles, 14 top-five and 23 top-10 finishes, with an average starting position of 9.7 and an average finish of 9.0.
  • John Hunter Nemechek picked up the victory in last year’s Charlotte race. Prior to that, owner-driver Kyle Busch had collected all six of his organization’s wins (2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2017 and 2018).
  • KBM holds the Camping World Truck Series records for most career wins (93) and most wins in a single season (14 in 2014). With his victory at Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway, Corey Heim became the 18th different driver to win a Truck Series event for KBM. In addition to collecting a series-record seven Owner’s Championships, the organization has produced two championship-winning drivers: Erik Jones (2015) and Christopher Bell (2017).
  • With 38 victories, the No. 51 is the winningest number in KBM’s Truck Series fleet.

BTS Returns to the No. 15 for its Home Race

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (May 24, 2022) — David Gilliland Racing (DGR) is excited to welcome Black’s Tire back to the No. 15 Ford F-150, sponsoring NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Tanner Gray for the third time in 2022.

As the Carolinas premier tire dealer with over 60 North and South Carolina locations, Black’s Tire will grace the No. 15 F-150 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, right in the organization’s backyard. In the wake of National Car Care Month, the duo will head into Charlotte as a fitting combination.

Gray has piloted the Black’s Tire F-150 twice in 2022, scoring a season-high finish of fourth at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway in February. In addition, he recorded a 21st-place finish at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway in April, carrying the familiar BTS colors.

The 23-year-old currently sits 11th in the NCWTS standings, 35 points outside the playoff cut line with seven races remaining in the regular season.

“After our top-five performance at Daytona, I’m excited to have the opportunity to chase another strong finish alongside Black’s Tire,” said Gray. “Martinsville didn’t go the way we had hoped, but that has made the team and I more motivated to bring home a good result for Ricky Benton and the rest of the BTS family at Charlotte.”

TPC Racing Scores Double Podium Saturday in IMSA Lamborghini Super Trofeo Doubleheader at NOLA Motorsports Park

  • Scott Schmidt Secures First Super Trofeo Podium Finish Saturday and Fourth Place Sunday in LB Cup Class Debut in No. 38 DSC Sport/Erin Levitas Foundation Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2
  • Wesley Slimp and Tyler Hoffman Finish Second from the Pole Saturday in Super Trofeo Am Class in No. 9 HNTB Companies Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2
  • Billy Johnson Leads First Super Trofeo Overall Race Laps Saturday in No. 71 DSC Sport/Erin Levitas Foundation Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana (May 24, 2022) – TPC Racing and its three-car IMSA Lamborghini Super Trofeo team secured a pair of podium finishes, a pole position and led several laps overall in a wet and wild Saturday race that was part of a successful weekend of competition at NOLA Motorsports Park.

The weekend’s pair of 50-minute sprints were rounds 3 and 4 of this year’s Super Trofeo championship. The results give TPC three podiums and a pair of poles for the season so far in addition to a mass of knowledge and data about the new Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2.

The double podium Saturday saw TPC and its drivers rack up a full list of first time achievements. It was the first time TPC earned a pair of Super Trofeo podium finishes in the same race, the first top-three finish for team driver Scott Schmidt, the first race for Schmidt in the LB Cup class and Schmidt’s first time racing solo in a Lamborghini Super Trofeo Huracán.

The top result, however, came from Am-class co-drivers Wesley Slimp and Tyler Hoffman who led the majority of Saturday’s race from the pole in the No. 9 HNTB Companies Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2. The duo was elevated to the Am class after winning the year’s opening race last month at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in the LB Cup class.

NOLA marked the first full weekend of Am-class competition for Slimp and Hoffman in the Am class and they made the most of it. Hoffman led every lap of his stint in Saturday’s sprint from the pole while closing driver Slimp battled for the win until the end when he crossed the finish line in second place.

The fact that the No. 9 duo was able to contend at all was remarkable considering both drivers had to compete without windshield wipers in the wet and rainy conditions. Despite the wipers not working, both Hoffman and Slimp turned competitive lap times through the rain-soaked race.

While Hoffman was setting the early pace Saturday in Am, TPC Racing’s Pro-class driver Billy Johnson stepped up to lead his first overall Super Trofeo race laps in the rain in the No. 71 DSC Sport/Erin Levitas Foundation Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2.

Johnson was in the hunt for the win only to drop from contention when he was assessed a late drive-through penalty for an earlier pit infraction. Johnson rebounded to finish Saturday’s race and then closed out the weekend with a fifth-place result in Sunday’s weekend-ending sprint.

Meanwhile, Schmidt put in two of the best drives of his Super Trofeo career in the No. 38 DSC Sport/Erin Levitas Foundation Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 in the pair of NOLA races.

While Johnson and Hoffman led respectively in Saturday’s soaker, Schmidt steadily ripped off laps in the wet and worked his way into a third-place podium position he would hold to the finish. He was on pace in the No. 38 again on Sunday, setting his fastest lap of the weekend while racing to a fourth-place LB Cup finish in dry conditions.

The IMSA Lamborghini Super Trofeo series next returns to action at Watkins Glen International in New York State, June 23 – 25, four Rounds 5 and 6 of the 2022 championship.

Harris Levitas, TPC Racing Director of Race Operations: “Saturday we had a mixed-weather race. It was all mixed conditions. We started in wet conditions and Billy jumped straight to the lead, opened up a four-second gap and just maintained the pace. Then the track really started to dry out. We pitted for four tires to send Billy back out on drys. We left the other two cars on wet tires for their position and their experience, and that suited them best. When Billy went out on drys he was back into P3. Unfortunately we had a pit stop penalty and had to serve that as a drive through and we couldn’t get that Pro podium that the team and Billy truly deserved. But we’re working hard. We’re really trying to figure out the chassis right now and we’ve got to thank Billy for his help and patience with us. I feel we’re getting really close. We’re in a good spot and we’re working really hard to get there. I really have to thank our TPC Racing team. The guys have worked five days, 17 hours a day in this heat and humidity, just working really hard to get all three cars to where they are now. Saturday went really well for Scott Schmidt in the No. 38 car. He did an awesome job getting a podium in his first race driving by himself, which is a huge thing for him. We’re really proud of him and all the effort he put into it. Wesley Slimp and Tyler Hoffman did a really great job finishing P2 in class Saturday. Unfortunately, Tyler got hit Sunday during his stint and had a spin that knocked him out of any chance to fight for a podium. But he had a great recovery and we’ll just keep plugging away.”

Scott Schmidt, Driver No. 38 DSC Sport/Erin Levitas Foundation Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2: “We ended up placing third in the rain in the first race, which makes the podium even more satisfying. I would absolutely recommend testing in the rain to anyone driving. Don’t fear the rain. It’s probably one of the best tools you’ll ever find out there. Through the weekend, I was able to run 50-minute stints for the first time, which is a game changer when it comes to this car. I am feeling more comfortable, allowing the car to move, it’s predictable and now it’s time to take it to the speeds that the car is capable of reaching. The highlight Sunday was being able to pass and move up into fourth position. I couldn’t get up to the third place car and was just not carrying enough speed into the turns on the high-speed turns. I am looking forward to Watkins Glen where we can focus on that specifically, and that is finding the limits of the car at high speed. I did run my fastest lap in Sunday’s race when the conditions were a little warmer. It was very satisfying. I’m really looking forward to Watkins Glen.”

Wesley Slimp, Driver No. 9 HNTB Companies Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2: “I’m really proud of how I drove, Saturday specifically. Those were the worst conditions I’ve probably seen in any race car, so putting 600 horsepower down to the pavement with rain tires on a drying track was tricky. We were hoping for more rain, that would have helped us out a little more, but we still maximized what we felt like we had in the car. By the time I was on the track, most of the moisture on the racing line was gone. Being behind another car, it wasn’t really spitting up too much water. My visibility was all right. The biggest thing during that stint was the rain tires just falling to pieces on the dry track. The rain setup was strong enough that with limited grip we were still able to wheel the car and it just felt great. Sunday was a little trickier, but once we really unlock these cars it should be a different story. This season is all about development for us, just elevating all together as a program. Each session I am out on the track I want to find something, and so far I’ve been doing that.”

Tyler Hoffman, Driver No. 9 HNTB Companies Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2: “It was an exciting weekend and a lot of fun. They say rain is the ultimate equalizer, and we were able to show our abilities and our skill level as we continue to develop and figure out this new car. We’re making the most of the promotion up to the Am class and to be able to snag a podium P2 and a pole position on our first full weekend in Am is a fantastic achievement. I’m looking forward to coming back at Watkins Glen. The rain lights were instrumental in keeping the car in one piece. With no windshield wipers, we were literally driving by braille. I couldn’t see really anything. These cars, with their aerodynamic grip and the diffuser in the wings, also applies to water on the track. So there was water everywhere. For some reason, the rain wasn’t beading and running off the windshield like we have seen before; it was just sitting on the windshield on a dirty, wet track. So the rain lights were very nice to have. Without them, it would have made the start a little bit more exciting than we would probably would have wanted.”

Billy Johnson, Driver No. 71 DSC Sport/Erin Levitas Foundation Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2: “This is really our second weekend with the car so it’s still very new and we’re just chipping away at it, just testing a whole bunch of stuff and trying to figure it out. It’s a unique car to set up, has unique characteristics, and we finally came across some positive things. Going into Saturday’s race it was looking well, but we got hit really hard in the right front in Turn 1, which damaged the car. Despite that, we were still able to pass the four cars in front of us and lead the race. Then we had some pit issues and ended up finishing seventh after having to do three pit stops. For Sunday’s race we got the car back together but we didn’t catch some issues that had damaged the car from the crash, so we were struggling with that. Now we will actually have time for once to take the car to the shop and go through it. It needs to be gone through. We caught some things that we couldn’t address this weekend so we’ll go through it and properly prepare for Watkins Glen. I’m looking forward to doing some testing at The Glen and having some more time in the car.”

Notes of Interest

● 600 Miles of Remembrance: The Memorial Day weekend’s Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte (N.C.)Motor Speedway is one of the most patriotic events in sports, honoring fallen soldiers who paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country. This weekend, Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR), Smithfield Foods, and Aric Almirola will honor Pfc. Adam Lee Marion of the North Carolina Army National Guard, who was killed during an attack on his forward operating base in Baghdad, Iraq,in 2008, during Operation Iraqi Freedom. The connection comes from spotter Joel Edmonds, who knew Marion at a young age and is a friend of Marion’s father.

o Marion was with the 171st Engineer Company of St. Pauls and was the operator of a “Husky” vehicle, which led convoys to clear improvised explosive devices. Marion participated in more than 100 route-clearance missions in the Baghdad area.

o In September 2007, a week before departing for Iraq, Marion received a “Freedom Isn’t Free” tattoo on his biceps.

o Marion enlisted in the National Guard in March 2007 and joined the 883rd Engineer Company as a combat engineer. He graduated basic training and combat engineering school in July 2007.

o In 2018, 10 years after his death, the National Guard Readiness Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, was renamed in Marion’s honor – to the Pfc. Adam L. Marion Readiness Center.

o Marion had a passion for helping children and, during high school and college, he volunteered and worked at the Children’s Center of Surry in Dobson, North Carolina. He would bring kids home from the Children’s Center for Christmas and carried that same passion overseas to connect with children while in Iraq. Since his passing, there has been more than $1.1 million raised via the Pfc. Adam Marion Memorial Golf Tournament, from which proceeds benefit the Children’s Center of Northwest North Carolina. On April 28, the 14th annual iteration of the tournament hosted more than 250 participants.

o Marion was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terror Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Combat Action Badge, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M Device, Army Service Ribbon, Army Good Conduct Medal, and Overseas Service Bar.

Aric Almirola, Driver of the No. 10 Smithfield Ford Mustang for Stewart-Haas Racing:

How cool is it to honor members of the military who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom this Memorial Day weekend at Charlotte?

“This is the coolest weekend all year. Being able to race and pay tribute to the men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for me to live in the greatest country in the world is really cool. My dad was in the Air Force, so I know firsthand what the families have sacrificed. There are men and women who wake up every day and fight for our freedom and some of them lay down their lives for us. We get to do really cool things and I get to drive a racecar for a living without the worry of being attacked. We take it for granted that we live in a safe and free country. Honoring the military members who paid the ultimate sacrifice this weekend is the least we can do. We’re honoring a friend of my spotter Joel Edmonds, so there is an extra special connection. Adam’s family will be there this weekend, too. I can’t wait to meet them and hope we can keep his name up front all day.”

What do you think about your paint scheme for this weekend?

“Man this has to be my favorite one as far as looks go. That red, white and blue striping is just beautiful. We have run this similar scheme before, but it looks even better with the number placement. I’m glad Smithfield kept this one going for us and the fans.”

What does it take to win the Coke 600?

“It’s a hundred miles longer than any other race we run, which provides a challenge in and of itself. On top of that, there is an extra stage, which gives us the opportunity to earn more points. The cars have less grip when the sun is out and they tend to slip and slide a lot more. As the sun goes down, the track gets more grip and we start going faster. That’s one of the very unique things about this race. What you have from a driveability and balance standpoint from the racecar at the beginning of the race is not what you have at the end. You’re trying to figure out what it takes to get your car to win at the end and you have to be good at all facets because there are a lot of points to be made.”

Motul powers Mercedes-AMG Team Craft-Bamboo Racing to iconic P2 finish at Bathurst 12 Hour

  • Motul features on Bathurst podium with Mercedes-AMG Team Craft-Bamboo Racing
  • Mercedes-AMG GT3 uses Motul’s range of high-performance lubricants to make epic comeback
  • Motul lubricants maintain engine and gearbox reliability despite challenging weather conditions

Singapore, May 23, 2022 – (ACN Newswire) – Official AMG Performance Team, Mercedes-AMG Team Craft-Bamboo Racing took part in the world-famous Bathurst 12 Hour held from the 13th to the 15th of May 2022 with Motul as the factory-supported team’s exclusive lubricant partner. The #91 Mercedes-AMG GT3 finished in a brilliant second place, only 8 seconds adrift in the round-the-clock endurance classic, despite starting from the back of the grid. Changing weather conditions was the story of the day, as the Motul-powered car performed exceptionally well and held reliability for the entire 12 hours on Mount Panorama Circuit.

The Mercedes-AMG GT3 car used the iconic Motul 300V 5W40 Power lubricant for the V8 engine. The race was particularly challenging with the engine having to be pushed to the maximum for 12 hours on an undulating circuit forcing the race car to literally climb up a mountain over 250 times. It is imperative to have a high-performance engine lubricant when battling cars from different manufacturers and constantly driving at high RPM. Along with that, the GT3 cars go through about 40 gear changes per lap over the 6.2km circuit, accounting for almost 10,000 gear changes over the duration of the race. The Motul Gear Competition oil played a particularly important role in ensuring that the gearbox remains reliable and the car remains competitive as the team bid its efforts for the win. The team also used products from Motul’s Care range, such as the Brake Clean and Wheel Clean to keep the Motul-liveried car looking good every time it went out on track.

For Motul, this achievement is all the more significant, being featured on the podium of the Bathurst 12 Hour, an iconic endurance race globally. This race is renowned for being notoriously challenging and to win the team needs to have an entire package with the best drivers and the best car. The 300V has proven that it is compatible with the Mercedes-AMG engine through this incredible podium success. This lubricant is the same formulation that is available for purchase for everyday road users off the shelf. Users can take benefit from the racing-grade performance and reliability that has been tried and tested in a race-winning car at Australia’s most prestigious endurance event.

QUOTES

Carlo Savoca | Chief Marketing Officer, Motul Asia Pacific

“Big congratulations to Mercedes-AMG on the 1-2-3 here at Bathurst! I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved at the Bathurst 12 Hour. To see a Motul-powered car on the podium, and coming from the back of the grid is nothing short of a historic accomplishment. I want to thank the Craft-Bamboo Racing team for showing trust in our products and displaying what Motul is capable of at one of the most demanding and challenging endurance events globally. Our goal is to give our customers the best products possible and this podium is a testament to what we strive towards.”

Darryl O’Young | Team Director, Mercedes-AMG Team Craft-Bamboo Racing

“Our race car powertrain takes tremendous punishment on a circuit like Mount Panorama. With the track running up and down a mountain, the steep climb up and the fast twisty downhill sections really push the gearbox and engine to their limits. Being in between narrow walls also brings up both engine and gearbox temperatures adding even more stress to components. Now to do that for 12 hours straight is tough, and that requires tremendous trust in our lubricants to deliver both power and reliability. We are proud to have Motul as our official partner, as we work hand in hand with the same passion and commitment to take victory at some of the biggest race events in the Asia Pacific region. We missed the big win by a mere 8 seconds this year, but we can be proud of the achievement nonetheless.”

What Are Light Bars And What Are The Benefits Of Using Them On Cars

unsplash.com

The consequences of technical growth can be observed everywhere nowadays, including in the lighting industry. LED headlights and taillights are becoming more common in vehicles, and they are quickly gaining popularity among many motorists.

This product has a slew of advantages that place it ahead of the other two types of headlights, halogen and HID, however, like anything else in life, it has some drawbacks. Read on to discover the benefits of LED light bars on cars and decide if they are the right thing for you.

LED lights provide superior lighting quality

When it comes to illumination, LEDs will never let you down. They emit powerful lights, allowing you to drive securely even on uneven surfaces. The environment may appear dim during the rainy season, which is why you need a reliable set of lights. LED lights are also handy for driving at night in hazy or dusty conditions.

It’s not just that they illuminate better, but you can choose any color you want that is not restricted for use on motor vehicles. For example, you can get a low profile amber led light bar for your car roof if you would want to, but you couldn’t get blue or red ones because that’s the police’s signature. So, if you are looking to mount a light bar on your car, make sure to consult local authorities before doing so.

They are incredibly effective

LED lights come in a variety of shapes and sizes, including spot and floodlights. You may also locate them in combos, which improves their use efficiency. If you’ve been driving with incandescent bulbs, you may have discovered that a few of your fellow motorists have converted to LED. Truckers have always preferred incandescent light bulbs, but they are way paler in comparison to LEDs, which are exceedingly bright. You do not need to utilize multiple light bulbs to achieve the desired effect.

LED light bars use very little energy

One of the common misconceptions about utilizing bright lights is that they use a lot of electricity. This is why some people prefer incandescent bulbs, believing they are saving electricity. Unfortunately, they are incorrect, particularly when it comes to LED lights. LEDs have become the favored choice of light in houses over the years due to their energy efficiency. They provide powerful and bright light while consuming little energy. They guarantee that your battery lasts longer when utilized in vehicles than incandescent lights.

They are long-lasting

Many people are aware of LED lights, which use halogens to intensify high-quality white light beams. You may be relieved to learn that LED light strips and bars are built to the same standards. They now have a long lifespan, approximately 60,000 hours when actively used. Furthermore, even if exposed to the sun for an extended period of time or driven in the rain for hours, extreme weather conditions will not destroy automotive LEDs.

LED light bars are also resistant to wear and tear since they can endure deterioration caused by dust and stones. These lights are shock and vibration resistant if you travel on difficult terrain on a daily basis. As you can see, they are not only economical but also provide excellent value for money. Because they are long-lasting, you can see the purchase of these bars as a small investment for your car.

They are economical and might help you save money

LED lights are less expensive than other types of lighting. You may acquire them on a shoestring budget and yet reap the benefits. They also endure a long period, which allows you to save even more money. You don’t have to worry about the cost of maintenance with LED lights because they don’t need to be replaced as frequently as incandescent bulbs.

The regularly used bulbs, on the other hand, have a significant danger of burning, which means you must replace them every time they overheat. The best solution to this problem is to keep spare bulbs in your trunk, so you don’t stress when some of them stop working. This way you will save time and won’t get stressed.

Final thoughts

Many people rely on LED lights, particularly those who drive trucks or construction vehicles or have to travel off-road to get home. If you reside in the desert or frequently travel on sandy roads, LED lighting bars will undoubtedly benefit you. With their assistance, you can see your surroundings clearly.

Palou Sets Practice Pace as Ganassi Power Parade Continues

INDIANAPOLIS (Monday, May 23, 2022) – Alex Palou finished a close second in the 2021 Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge and qualified second Sunday for this year’s race, but he jumped to the top spot in practice Monday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, continuing a magical Month of May for Chip Ganassi Racing.

Seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and “500” rookie Jimmie Johnson was third at 228.467 in the No. 48 Carvana Chip Ganassi Racing Honda.

Two-time Indy 500 winner Takuma Sato was the only non-Ganassi driver inside the top five, fourth at 228.381 in the No. 51 Nurtec ODT Honda fielded by Dale Coyne Racing with RWR.
