Niece Motorsports’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series History at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway … This weekend will mark Niece Motorsports’ 26th NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at the Las Vegas, Nev.,-facility. The organization posted a team best second-place finish at the track in September 2019 with Ross Chastain. The 25 previous starts at the ‘Diamond in the Desert’, a 1.5-mile oval with 20-degree graduated banking, have earned Niece Motorsports an average starting position of 21.1 and an average finish of 17.8.

Welcome Shocker Hitch … Shocker Hitch, a cushion and airbag towing hitches company, will adorn the side of the No. 44 Chevrolet driven by Kris Wright at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway as an associate partner. Corporation Chevrolet Silverado for Niece Motorsports, finished in the 19th-place in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series NextEra Energy 250 at the Daytona International Speedway, located in Daytona Beach, Fla., on Friday, February 18. Wright started in the 12th-place in the 36-truck field, and at the end of Stage 1 on Lap 20 he was in the 29th-place. By the end of Stage 2 on Lap 40, Wright was scored in the 22nd-place. In the extended 106 lap event, Wright was involved in a last lap incident. He was scored as high as the seventh-place at the Daytona International Speedway.

The No. 45 made several stops for repairs prior to overtime, but had to settle for a 25th-place finish making Alan the highest-finishing rookie in the NextEra Energy 250.

Wright at Las Vegas Motor Speedway: Wright makes his third start at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Friday night with both of his previous two starts coming in his first full-time season in 2021. Wright ran to a 25th-place finish in the spring event before turning in a 16th-place finish in the fall race after starting 26th.

On the Truck: Wright welcomes iHeartRadio and Shocker Hitch to the No. 44 Chevrolet Silverado for the first time this season Friday night at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with a new red and white paint scheme.

Last Time Out (NextEra Energy 250 – Start: 12th / Finish: 19th): Wright kept his No. 44 F.N.B. Corporation Chevrolet Silverado in line with the No. 42 of teammate Carson Hocevar for much of the early going in the NextEra Energy 250 as the two led the second pack of trucks in the draft. After serving a one-lap penalty for a pit road violation on lap 67, Wright got himself back on the lead lap via the free pass following a caution on lap 79. With 16 to go, Wright was collected in an incident in turn four and brought the No. 44 to pit road to repair right side damage but battled his way back to 12th for the overtime restart. Shortly after taking the white flag while following the high line to the front, the No. 44 was again collected in a wreck – this time on the frontstretch ultimately ending the race – resulting in a 19th-place finish.

Hocevar on returning to Las Vegas Motor Speedway following a top-10 finish at Daytona: “We’re pretty excited for Las Vegas. I feel like we did our job at Daytona by getting some points in the bank. By having a solid finish we’ll be one of the last teams to roll off for qualifying which is going to be an advantage for us. Ultimately, you have to leave Daytona not in a points hole and we accomplished that. I’m excited to build on that and get to Las Vegas with our No. 42 Premier Security Solutions Chevrolet.”

Hocevar at Las Vegas Motor Speedway: Hocevar makes his third NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Friday night. He made both of his previous starts during his rookie season in 2021, producing a 24th-place finish in the spring race and a 22nd-place finish in the fall event.

Hocevar’s 22nd-place finish in the fall race is deceiving, as the then-rookie ran in the top-10 for most of the night and led eight laps before a late-race, green flag pit stop mired him in the back half of the field.

On the Truck: Hocevar and the No. 42 Chevrolet Silverado will carry the Premier Security Solutions paint scheme for Friday night’s Victoria’s Voice Foundation 200 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Last time out (NextEra Energy 250 – Start: 22nd / Finish: 9th): Hocevar and the No. 42 team were positioned in the second pack of trucks for a majority of the first two stages of the NextEra Energy 250 before crew chief Phil Gould made the call for a two-tire stop under caution on lap 65 while most of the leaders opted for fuel only. The call paid off as Hocevar made a charge to the front while avoiding a wreck in turn four on lap 81 before ultimately restarting 11th in overtime. Hocevar continued his push forward, but a caution on the front stretch on the final lap halted his charge, resulting in a ninth-place finish. The 19 year-old posted the 10th-fastest overall lap average on the night (49.682).

• The Victoria’s Voice Foundation 200 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway marks Hailie Deegan’s 25th career start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
• Deegan had a strong showing during the season-opening contest at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway, running within the top-10 before a wreck late in the final stage mired her to a 17th-place finish.
• Friday’s race will mark the 20-year-old’s third NASCAR Truck Series start at the 1.5-mile speedway, her first since the reintroduction of practice and qualifying.
• Mike Hillman, Jr., Crew Chief of the No. 1 Monster Energy Ford F-150, has seen a plethora of success at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The veteran signal-caller has 19 career races at the track, earning Truck Series victories with Todd Bodine in 2005 and Kyle Busch in 2018.

Tanner Gray, No. 15 Ford Performance F-150

• Tanner Gray will compete in his 50th career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on Friday night at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
• Two weeks ago, Gray kicked off his junior season in the Truck Series with a fourth-place effort at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway; his career best finish at a superspeedway.
• Historically, the Ford Performance driver has fared well at Las Vegas. In four career starts, he has one top-five and two top-10s with finishes of eighth, third, 12th and 23rd.
• Crew chief Jerry Baxter has a multitude of experience at the 1.5-mile speedway having called four races in the Cup Series, five in the Xfinity Series and 10 in the NCWTS with four top-fives and eight top-10s. Baxter has a best finish of second twice, once with Bubba Wallace in 2014 and once with Brett Moffitt in 2019.

Ryan Preece, No. 17 United Rentals Ford F-150

• Ryan Preece will make his first of seven starts behind the wheel of the No. 17 F-150 this season at Las Vegas on Friday evening.
• In 2021, the Connecticut native made two Truck Series starts with DGR, winning in his series debut June 18 at Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway.
• Preece has seven career starts at Las Vegas between the Cup and Xfinity Series with a best finish of sixth in 2018 behind the wheel of a Joe Gibbs Racing Xfinity car.Chad Johnston will once again serve as crew chief on the No. 17 entry this weekend.

Thompson at Las Vegas Motor Speedway: Thompson makes his first-career start at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in Friday night’s Victoria’s Voice Foundation 200.

Last time out (NextEra Energy 250 – Start: 17th / Finish: 36th): Thompson and the No. 40 Worldwide Express Chevrolet Silverado started in the front half of the field in the NextEra Energy 250, but following a scheduled pit stop on lap 23, Thompson made contact with Corey Heim on pit road that resulted in nose damage. The No. 40 team was able to get Thompson back on track, but a tire rub from the damage caused a flat left front tire on the backstretch that ultimately ended the rookie’s 2022 season debut.

In addition to performing yearlong simulator work for SHR, Preece is running a mix of races across each of NASCAR’s top-three national touring series – Cup, Xfinity and Camping World Truck. United Rentals will make its debut with Preece this Friday in the Truck Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway where the 31-year-old from Berlin, Connecticut, will drive the No. 17 United Rentals Ford F-150 for David Gilliland Racing in the Victoria’s Voice Foundation 200.

United Rentals will return as the primary sponsor of Preece and the No. 17 Ford F-150 at two more Truck Series races – March 19 at Atlanta Motor Speedway and May 6 at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway. United Rentals will also sponsor Preece in one Cup Series race and one Xfinity Series race in 2022, with details regarding those two races to be announced at a later date.

Preece made two Truck Series starts last year, winning in his series debut June 18 at Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway. He is a two-time Xfinity Series victor, winning in July 2017 at Iowa Speedway in Newton and in April 2018 at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway. Preece spent the last three seasons (2019-2021) competing fulltime in Cup.

“I’ve always been hands-on in preparing my racecars, and that has meant being hands on when it comes to getting the resources I need to go racing. I feel like I’ve done every job on the racecar and in the shop, so that means I know my way around a lot of the equipment United Rentals provides,” said Preece, a dedicated Ford Performance driver in each series in which he competes. “Scissor lifts, forklifts, generators, air compressors – I’ve rented them and run them. Preece is especially known for his exploits on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. He won the series championship in 2013 and has amassed 25 victories, three of which came last year – July 17 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, Aug. 6 at Stafford (Conn.) Motor Speedway, and Sept. 10 at Richmond (Va.) Raceway.
