Ethos Car Care Partners with Ty Dillon and Petty GMS

Will Serve as Associate Partner of the No. 42 Chevrolet at Clash at The Coliseum and Daytona 500

STATESVILLE, N.C. (February 4, 2022) – Ethos Car Care, a leader in its industry, will ride along with Ty Dillon and Petty GMS as an associate sponsor when the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season gets underway. Ethos Car Care will be featured on Dillon’s No. 42 Black Rifle Coffee Company Camaro ZL1 at both the Busch Light Clash at The Coliseum and the Daytona 500.

While the upcoming Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum is an unknown, Dillon has always wheeled around Daytona International Speedway with relative ease. The Welcome, N.C., native has often found himself at the front of the field at the 2.5-mile superspeedway, nearly visiting victory lane during the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series season when he hustled to sixth and fourth-place finishes in the two races at Daytona.

Ethos Car Care was founded with the simple goal of making professional detailing results quicker and easier than ever before. Their products are lab-tested, American made and created by professionals. Ethos Car Care products are superior because they come from decades of experience of the company’s founder, Tim Coats, detailing in the real world. He took this hard-earned experience and combined it with state-of-the-art chemistry to make products that produce results you truly must see to believe.

Ethos Car Care is proud to partner with Petty GMS, a newly formed team that brought together two storied organizations. Over the last decade, owner Maury Gallagher has built a victorious team, capturing two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championships, one ARCA Menards Series title, and two ARCA Menards Series East championships, as well as 65 wins and 235 top-five finishes across six series. Richard Petty, a member of the inaugural NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2010, serves as Chairman of Petty GMS. Petty, known as “The King,” accumulated over 200 wins and was the first of three drivers to win seven championships in the Cup Series.

“NASCAR indexes well with our brand and is a natural fit as we expand our presence. Race fans are brand-loyal and passionate, so we are excited be a part of these two season-opening events as we make our entry into the racing world,” Ethos Car Care founder, Tim Coats, said. “Ty Dillon and the Petty GMS organization are the perfect partners to help us achieve our desired goal of elevated brand awareness and educating consumers on the many benefits of using Ethos Car Care products.”

“I’m excited to have Ethos Car Care riding on our No. 42 Black Rifle Coffee Company Chevrolet for the Clash and Daytona 500,” said Dillon. “The Ethos Car Care products are not only created with high-end quality ingredients, but they are made right here in the United States. Tim (Coats) has built a business from experience and mixed it with science to create a line of products everyone can use on their vehicles.”

TEAM PENSKE AND FREIGHTLINER MAKE HISTORY AT THE CLASH WITH THE eCASCADIA

An electric Freightliner eCascadia will pull the #2: Austin Cindric, Team Penske, Ford Mustang to the LA Coliseum

Team Penske Becomes the First NASCAR Team to Use a Fully Electric Semi Truck to Pull Hauler

MOORESVILLE, N.C. / PORTLAND, Ore. (February 4, 2022) – On Thursday, Team Penske and long-time partner Freightliner, part of Daimler Truck North America (DTNA), made history by using the pre-production, fully-electric Freightliner eCascadia semi-truck to pull a full-sized Team Penske racecar hauler to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum ahead of this weekend’s Clash event.

The electric semi-truck pulled the trailer from a Penske Truck Leasing (PTL) location in Ontario, Calif. to the inaugural race at the L.A. Coliseum as part of Freightliner’s primary sponsorship of the No. 2 Freightliner eCascadia Ford driven by NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year contender Austin Cindric. The eCascadia will remain on display throughout race weekend to give fans a firsthand look at the battery electric truck.

“Team Penske has been evolving with Freightliner since 1984,” said Team Penske Transportation Director Chris Yoder, who oversees 20 Freightliner trucks at the team’s Mooresville, N.C. headquarters and piloted the eCascadia during the historic drive. “I think it’s safe to say we’ve operated every model road tractor Freightliner has produced since 1984. Yesterday’s trip with the eCascadia will mark the pinnacle of our partnership. Together we’ve innovated and developed on the ground floor and this trip is symbolic of the next journey we plan to take together, a carbon neutral future with a focus on sustainability.”

“At Freightliner, we’re driven to deliver purposeful innovation for our customers and there’s a tremendous sense of pride to see the innovative all-electric Freightliner eCascadia used by our longstanding partners at Team Penske to make racing history. We look forward to cheering them on this weekend,” said Mary Aufdemberg, general manager, product strategy and market development, DTNA.

The eCascadia used by Team Penske is part of the Freightliner Electric Innovation Fleet, which includes 20 battery electric trucks in operation by PTL and its customers. The fleet began operation in 2019 and was supported by the South Coast Air Quality Management District (South Coast AQMD), which focuses on improving air quality in the South Coast Basin of Southern California and partially funded the project.

“We’re committed to leading our industry in the transition to commercial electric vehicles and providing increasingly more sustainable truck options to our customers,” said Art Vallely, President of Penske Truck Leasing. “We continue to test new and innovative vehicles in our fleet, and we have been impressed with the performance of these Freightliner vehicles.”

To date, PTL has accumulated over 480,000 miles of use on the trucks, providing DTNA valuable feedback for the final series production coming in late 2022. The two companies share a passion for long term sustainability and carbon neutrality, making the development process even more meaningful with Team Penske ready to author the next chapter in an incredibly successful partnership on the racetrack.

A leader in global transportation systems, PTL constructed charging infrastructure across six locations in California. Technology partners also involved in this project included Team Penske sponsors such as Shell, Hitachi, and Siemens. Currently, PTL operates 10 Freightliner eCascadia day cab tractors and 10 Freightliner eM2 fully electric box trucks running regular routes to customers around Southern California with a focus forward on sustainability.

Austin Cindric and the No. 2 Freightliner eCascadia Ford team kick off the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season on Sunday with the inaugural running of The Clash, an exhibition run inside the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on a specially designed and constructed quarter-mile track inside the iconic venue.

KROGER RETURNS TO NO. 47 CAMARO ZL1 FOR THE DAYTONA 500 AND 2022 NASCAR CUP SERIES SEASON

To celebrate, Kroger Delivery is offering FRESH grocery delivery to NASCAR fans camping at Daytona International Speedway leading up to the Daytona 500

HARRISBURG, N.C. (February 4, 2022) – – It’s a fresh car, fresh brands, and a fresh season for JTG Daugherty Racing. The team is honored to have America’s largest grocery retailer, The Kroger Co. return to the No. 47 Camaro ZL1 with driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. for the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season.

“We’ve been partners with Kroger for over a decade, and we’re honored to continue our racing program with The Kroger Co.,” said Tad Geschickter, JTG Daugherty Racing team owner. “In the offseason, we worked hard learning how to build the Next Gen car in a completely different way and testing frequently to optimize our learning to be the best for our brands. We’re honored to be partnered with Kroger Racing and working closely with Kroger Delivery at Daytona.”

Kroger Delivery provides grocery delivery service to residences and hotels throughout Central Florida, and soon to South Florida. For a limited time to support all the fans in town for the Daytona 500, we will make orders available at the Shoppes at One Daytona, right across the street from the Speedway. No matter where you are staying in Daytona Beach (Fla.) to enjoy Speedweeks, Kroger Delivery is a convenient way to get all your fresh food, tailgating and grocery supplies.

“We’re thrilled to have Kroger Delivery on board providing grocery delivery for folks camping at the track for the Daytona 500,” continued Geschickter. “We’ve been busy. Our marketing team has partnered with different departments in Kroger for the first time to enhance customer experience in Kroger cities across the country, including Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville – and soon South Florida.”

Fans can simply place a grocery order via Kroger.com or the Kroger app to have groceries delivered by a knowledgeable Kroger Delivery associate in a temperature-controlled van. For a limited time, grocery delivery is set up at 1808 W International Speedway Blvd – directly across from the Speedway, which is convenient for campers. While fans in hotels can enjoy groceries delivered right to their hotel.

“This is great for fans and also great for us,” Stenhouse said. “Kroger Delivery combines world-class technology with experienced associates to conveniently deliver fresh groceries. Florida is a completely new market for Kroger, and we’re helping introduce fans here to Kroger Delivery for your grocery needs. I know we’ll be using Kroger Delivery while we are in Daytona!”

Additionally, a select number of NASCAR fans that order from Kroger Delivery will be surprised and delighted with a private meet and greet with Stenhouse and more at the Boardwalk Club on Lake Lloyd during Speedweeks and the Daytona 500 race weekend.

“We’re delighted to have our Kroger partners and our Kroger Racing family of brands attending Speedweeks as our guests,” said Paul Zindrick, Corporate Partnerships for JTG Daugherty Racing at Kroger. “We’re hosting multiple events at the Boardwalk Club to drive awareness about Kroger Delivery in Florida. For instance, Kroger Delivery, Thomas’ Breads and Entenmann’s are hosting a cornhole competition where two lucky fans will win a chance to play in the final round against Ricky. There will also be a fun Kroger bag off competition where fans of all ages can participate to win groceries and gift cards. Then on Sunday, it’s time for Ricky to go to work behind the No. 47 Kroger/Irish Spring Camaro.”

Once Stenhouse spreads the word about Kroger Delivery, he’ll settle into his No. 47 Kroger/Irish Spring Camaro ZL1 to roll the dice on the high banks of Daytona for the iconic Harley J. Earl Trophy. He has two superspeedway wins with Daytona being one of those sites, and he won the Daytona 500 pole in 2020 for JTG Daugherty Racing. Now, he’d like to park Kroger Racing brands in victory lane following The Great American Race at the 2.5-mile tri-oval.

“To win the Daytona 500 would be a dream come true,” Stenhouse said. “If we can make it to the end with no problems, we know we have a shot at winning it for Kroger and our partners.”

Live coverage of the Daytona 500 takes place on Sunday, February 20th at 2:30 PM ET on FOX, MRN Radio and SiriusXM Satellite NASCAR Radio (Ch. 90). Prior to that, single-car qualifying (one lap, two rounds on FS1) on Wednesday, February 16th will set the front row for the Daytona 500 and the lineup for the Bluegreen Vacations Duel 1 and 2 on Thursday, February 17th at 8:05 PM ET on FS1.

Racecar Driver Lindsay Brewer Eyeing Ride in Indycar Ladder and NASCAR ARCA

Former Go-Kart Champion and Formula 4 Driver with Skip Barber Racing School eyes a move up

LOS ANGELES, February 4, 2022 (Newswire.com) – EVO Development Group Co-CEO Lindsay Brewer made her first full-season debut last year in Touring Car America along with Skip Barber’s Formula 4 Series after a hiatus for university. Having come off of a podium win in 2019, Brewer has been testing with Jay Howard’s IndyPro 2000 team, Lee Faulk’s Stock Car team, and the W Series in preparation for her 2022 season.

“Last year was a great growth year for me as I got a chance to get back in the seat and spend more time behind the wheel driving both sports cars and open-wheel. This is all in alignment with my goal to eventually become an Indycar driver,” said Brewer.

Lindsay Brewer had been working consistently in 2021 to also increase her visibility outside of the track, working as a social media and brand ambassador for Rally.io, Crypto.com, Draft Kings, Pirelli, and Lanvin.

“We hope that with the combination of increased interest from the American public towards Motorsports and Formula 1, along with Lindsay’s visibility and reach, that having Brewer in a higher tier series this year can bring more visibility to other females in the sport,” said Christian Young, Brewer’s manager and business partner.

Young also stated, “Motorsports is a co-ed sport, but the field doesn’t really reflect that in its current state, and we believe that Brewer’s social media following is an important vehicle for her to help open the conversation of females in all arenas of the automotive industry and to champion more of them in motorsports.”

ABOUT LINDSAY BREWER

Lindsay Brewer is a native of Colorado, but currently resides in Orange County, California. She started racing go-karts at the age of 11 and has won regional and national championships in Karting, Legends, and the Saleen S1 series. She is currently 24 years old, and took a hiatus from racing in order to earn her Bachelors in Business Management from SDSU before resuming in motorsports back in 2019 and then taking a break in 2020 due to the pandemic.

  • From the Drivers Seat: “It’s pretty cool to go to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and race. There are a ton of unknowns going in to the weekend. It’s been quite a while since NASCAR has raced on a quarter-mile track, but I’m excited about it. Just to race at that venue, on that stage, is going to be pretty neat. 2022 SEASON BEGINS AT THE LA COLISEUM

The 2022 season kicks off Saturday, February 6th at the “World’s Greatest Stadium,” the LA Coliseum. The inaugural event marks the first time in over 40 years that the Clash has been raced at a track other than Daytona. The 0.25-mile asphalt oval was constructed over the facility’s existing football field and marks the shortest track that NASCAR has competed on in the modern era. Since opening in 1923, the venue has hosted many marquee sporting events including 3 NFL Championships, 2 Super Bowls, and 2 Summer Olympic games. Although the Clash is a non-points event, it is the competitive debut of the Next Gen car – featuring a fleet of redesigned Ford Mustangs.

In addition to the one-off race at LA Coliseum, both NASCAR Cup and Xfinity series have each added one track to the 2022 schedule, along with several other lineup changes. On June 4th, the Xfinity series ventures to the Pacific Northwest for the first time at Portland International Raceway. The next day, June 5th, the 1.25-mile World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison, Illinois makes its first ever NASCAR Cup Series debut. Auto Club Speedway makes its long-awaited return after a 2 year break due to COVID-19. All the previous 2021 track additions will return in 2022 including COTA, Nashville, Road America, Bristol Dirt, and the Indianapolis Road Course. This year’s Bristol Dirt race will take place under the lights as opposed to last year’s daytime race. The season still opens with the famed Daytona 500 and ends in Phoenix.

Ford Performance and Roush Yates Engines are powering 15 full time NASCAR Cup series drivers this season: Brad Keselowski and Chris Buescher with Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing, Austin Cindric, Ryan Blaney, and Joey Logano with Team Penske, Harrison Burton with Wood Brothers Racing, Kevin Harvick, Aric Almriola, Chase Briscoe, and Cole Custer with Stewart-Haas Racing, Michael McDowell and Todd Gilliland with Front Row Motorsports, Garrett Smithley and Cody Ware with Rick Ware Racing, and BJ McLeod with Live Fast Motorsports. The 3 full-time Xfinity drivers being powered are Riley Herbst with Stewart-Haas Racing, Ryan Sieg with Ryan Sieg Racing, and Joe Graf Jr. with SS GreenLight Racing.

The long-awaited Next Gen car that was revealed in 2021 will see competition starting with this year’s Clash. The look and feel of the car has been redesigned to replicate the street version of the world’s best selling sports car, the Ford Mustang. The new design of the car has lowered the greenhouse, shortened the deck lid, and widened the track width to give the car more of a coupe look. Upgraded specs to match modern street car technology include a new independent rear suspension, rack and pinion steering, and larger brakes. A new transaxle combines the transmission and rear gears into one package to allow for electrification in the future. Hood louvers allow for maximization of engine performance independent of aerodynamics. The new composite material of the car is more durable, front and rear bumpers allow for increased safety, and both the front and rear clips bolt on to the center section for easy serviceability and repair.

For the 2022 NASCAR season, NASCAR Cup Series has established a 670 and 510 HP package. The 510 HP package will be utilized at Daytona, Talladega, and Atlanta – while the 670 HP package will be utilized at all other tracks. As NASCAR has opened up engine development in several areas this year, our team has been hard at work during the offseason to maximize power, performance, and reliability.

Kohler Generators will be paired with NASCAR Champion Keselowski for 14 primary events throughout the highly-anticipated 2022 campaign, including the Daytona 500 (Feb. 20), and other marquee events including the All-Star Race at Texas Motor Speedway (May 22), the Coca-Cola 600 (May 29), the Bristol Night Race (Sept. 17), and the season finale in Phoenix (Nov. 6). Kohler will continue to serve as an associate partner in all non-primary events.

“Commitments at this level are few and far between in this day and age, and we’re obviously thrilled that Kohler has not only extended its partnership with our team, but expanded it in a way that will hopefully make their name synonymous with our No. 6 team,” said Brad Keselowski, Driver/Co-Owner. “Their goals and initiatives as an America-owned company are something that excite me, and I look forward to working with their team off the track to deliver exceptional results. We’re thankful to everyone at Kohler and can’t wait to partner together in 2022 and beyond.”

Kohler teamed up with RFK in 2021, making its debut into the sport in the Daytona 500, the first of eight primary events aboard the No. 6 Ford Mustang. Throughout its first season, Kohler featured various schemes including a throwback look in Darlington, a patriotic No. 6 at Road America, and a Halloween twist on its Martinsville car.

Keselowski enters the 2022 season not only as driver of the iconic No. 6, but part-owner for RFK Racing. The 2022 campaign will mark his 13th full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, where he has been highly consistent with 11-straight NASCAR Playoffs appearances.

In addition to his Cup Championship in 2012, the Rochester Hills, Michigan, native has finished top-10 in nine of the last 11 seasons, including a runner-up points finish in 2020. Overall he has 75 NASCAR wins, including 35 in the Cup series.

His debut in an RFK Racing machine comes Feb. 6 at The Clash (6 p.m. ET, FOX) at the iconic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Justice Brothers scores double-podium in 60th Rolex 24 At Daytona

Wayne Taylor Racing a close second in bid for fourth-consecutive victory

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (2 Feb. 2022) – Justice Brothers placed two cars on the podium in a bid for a fourth-consecutive victory in the 60th Rolex 24 At Daytona.

Wayne Taylor Racing’s three-year winning streak came to a close after coming up just three seconds shy of the checkered flag on the way to a strong second place finish. It was another Justice Brothers squad sharing in the post race champagne shower in Daytona as JDC Miller Motorsports brought home a very competitive third place finish.

Ricky Taylor, Filipe Albuquerque, Alexander Rossi and newcomer Will Stevens led extensively and were well-placed for another run to victory with the No. 10 Konica Minolta Acura ARX-05. The team was in the thick of the fight all the way. A cut tire in the early going cost the team three laps, but Taylor regained the lead after a 150-lap comeback.

Car owner Wayne Taylor helped give the command to start the opening round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, joined by fellow Grand Marshals and racing legends Mario Andretti, Hurley Haywood, Bobby Rahal, Scott Pruett and Jack Roush.

“The team executed beautifully, but I just didn’t have enough at the end to go get Helio,” said Ricky Taylor of their late race duel. “I’m disappointed right now, but tomorrow we’ll begin working towards Sebring. I think it’s a really good start to the year. I’m really proud to have my teammates next to me, they all did an amazing job. Thanks to Konica Minolta, Harrison Contracting and all the guys that gave us the opportunity to be here. Looking forward to Sebring now. It can’t come soon enough.”

Loic Duval, Tristan Vautier, Richard Westbrook and Ben Keating shared the JDC Miller MotorSports Cadillac DPi-V.R – the lone car in the seven-car DPi field not to go a lap down. Having pitted later than the top two contenders, Duval was ready to pounce if the top two encountered problems late in the race; his late charge came up to within one-second of second-place Taylor.

Performance Tech MotorSports again carried the familiar Justice Brothers’ decals in the LMP3 class. The team ran in podium contention until encountering issues, eventually retiring with a drive train issue.

Dan Goldburg, Hikaru Abe, Garett Grist and Nico Pino co-drove Brent O’Neil’s No. 38 Cardio Access/DOGOH.jp/Emasa/AIG Ligier JS P320, retiring from the event with less than two hours remaining. The team was running in the top three when it was taken out by an LMP2 car during the night. From that point, it was a matter of playing catch-up while the crew struggled with various issues and freezing temperatures.

“I’m really proud of the crew for pushing threw and taking care of everything,” O’Neil said. “We’ll come back stronger at the next one.”

The “next one” will be another American endurance classic – the 70th running of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. John Church’s JDC Miller MotorSports is defending winner of the event, set for Saturday, March 19.

A Comprehensive Guide to Learning Dirt Bike Riding as a Beginner

Photo by Rodolfo Clix from Pexels

You may have recently bought a dirt bike, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy to get started, especially as a beginner.

These bikes are meant to be driven off-road, so one mistake could lead to devastating consequences. No one wants that.

Moreover, beginners are more likely to commit mistakes due to obvious reasons.

Before these points make you anxious, hear us out! Dirt biking can be fun. You just need to know the right way to approach the training. This blog post will discuss useful tips about riding dirt bikes as a beginner. You don’t want to miss this!

Practice Makes Perfect

Dirt biking entails risk, but the more you practice, the lesser your chances of making fatal mistakes.

Beginners are asked to ride in non-populated areas until they feel confident enough to train in the streets. This means that you should ride near empty roads and preferred trails with little traffic. When you’ve become a pro at riding, it’s time to move to a populated area!

If you hire a trainer, they will also let you know about various safety practices that will keep you from crashing during practice sessions.

Learn to Control the Bike

There are specific maneuvers that beginners should avoid until they’ve learned more about dirt biking.

For example, if you’re learning how to ride an off-road motorcycle for the first time, don’t try cornering at full speed. You first need to master avoiding obstacles. Remember that it’s one thing to avoid them, and it’s another to ride through them.

Maintain the Bike

Before starting your dirt biking training, it’s best to learn the basics of maintaining the bike. At least familiarize yourself with how to control the throttle and brakes.

Knowing how to use these controls will help you better understand the driving techniques used in dirt bikes! For example, when taking a turn at high speed while riding on uneven terrain, the bike needs to be brought down to a lower gear. This can neutralize the bike’s speed and allow you to turn easily!

However, if you haven’t maintained your bike properly, chances are some components may not function at their best. This will pose difficulty in maneuvering your bike.

Know the Right Protective Gear

Having the right gear for dirt biking is critical. This includes protective gear such as a helmet, boots, gloves and goggles. You obviously don’t want to get injured during your training sessions! The safety gear must be top-notch and should fit you well.

Understand How to Brake and Accelerate

Many beginners make the mistake of not braking till it’s too late. This often leads to them skidding their bike or losing control.

Another common mistake is accelerating at the wrong time, which again can lead to loss of balance. A good dirt biker knows when to accelerate and brake for maximum control. If you can brake and accelerate perfectly, you’d be on your way to becoming eligible for real riding soon!

Understand the Gears

To learn how to ride a dirt bike as a beginner, you need to familiarize yourself with the different gear ratios.

The higher the number, the more torque is generated for each wheel turn. This means that you’ll be able to accelerate quickly in high gear, but this will also drain your battery fast. If you’re low on speed, consider shifting down so you can move at a much slower pace!

Conclusion

Riding a dirt bike can be easy and fun. It all depends on how vigorously you practice and how well you take care of your bike.

If you follow these tips, learning to ride a dirt bike as a beginner will be easier than expected.

Remember that safety is of utmost importance here, so don’t take shortcuts!
