The Yorktown, Virginia based brewing company will kick off its 2021 partnership with driver, Brandon Brown and the No. 68 team when their new livery hits the track for the NXS season opener at the Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, Feb. 13, for the “Beef. It’s What’s for Dinner. 300.”

“I’m ecstatic to have Larry’s Lemonade back on board our No. 68 Chevrolet Camaro for the second year-in-a-row,” said Brown. “The competitiveness of our No. 68 program in 2020 was the best that it’s ever been and that’s all because of great partners like Larry’s Lemonade. Larry’s creation first found its way throughout Hampton Roads, VA to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and now to you. Larry insists to this day that had it not been for the support of his inner circle of Lemons the world would never get to know The Original Larry’s Hard Lemonade®. Andreas Laskaratos Joins Era Motorsport for Asian Le Mans Series Season

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., (February 4, 2021) — Newly crowned winners Rolex 24 At Daytona Kyle Tilley, Dwight Merriman, and the Era Motorsport crew have little time to rest from their first IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship victory, as now the team heads to United Arab Emirates for the Asian Le Mans Series season-opening double header. Era Motorsport will be one of twelve teams making their Asian Le Mans Series debut, competing as one of seven LMP2 entries. Andreas Laskaratos will join Kyle Tilley and Dwight Merriman as the third driver in the No. 18 Oreca LMP2 car, which will compete in two races next week at the Dubai Autodrome.

“I truly cannot hide my excitement to be joining Era Motorsport for the Asian Le Mans series, especially after their Rolex 24 At Daytona win,” said Laskaratos. “I have followed them since inception, and I believe the team has really grown and I hope I can contribute into a competitive season. I would like to thank Kyle for this opportunity and his trust in me. Now it’s time to push!”

Thirty-four year old Andreas Laskaratos started racing at the age of 10 at his local go-kart track, and over the last 24 years, has built an impressive resume of motorsport experience to include single seaters, GTs and prototypes. He performed well in 2020, earning a win at the 4 Hours of Thailand, and was the vice champion of the 2019/2020 LMP3 Asian Le Mans Series championship. He also holds podiums at the 4 Hours of Spa, and the 4 Hours of The Bend. With significant experience in the Asian Le Mans Series, the Greek native will be able to assist in Era’s smooth transition to the new series.

Originally supposed to race in the first weekend of February, the first two events of the year were postponed to February 13th and 14th, allowing teams to complete the mandatory ten-day quarantine for Dubai.

“Whilst we are still on a high from Daytona, we are super excited to be heading to Dubai to kick off the Asian LeMans Series,” said Tilley. “Dwight and I will be competing in the newly formed LMP2 Am class, which gives teams with a bronze driver a chance at winning. Joining us for the four-round series will be Andreas Laskaratos. He has come very highly recommended by one of our engineers, Nico Brisseau. I think I speak for all of us when I say that we can’t wait to get on track and keep the momentum from the Rolex 24 going!”

The entire 2021 Asian Le Mans Series will be condensed into just over a week, with four races between two weekends at the Dubai Autodrome and Yas Marina Circuit. The series will feature three classes: LMP2, LPM3 and GT.

“It will be exciting to again race internationally, and in the top class,” said Dwight Merriman. “I feel confident in our lineup, and the momentum we are bringing with us from Daytona. This an incredible team, and I’m looking forward to joining a new series. The schedule will be tight, but we’re up for the challenge.”

The 40 drivers and 20 teams will take on a challenging schedule that represents the best of NASCAR’s highest level, from the first green flag at Daytona to an epic finale at Texas Motor Speedway, and an All-Star Race featuring the return of former series champions on the three-mile iRacing Superspeedway. New this season, the playoffs will expand from eight drivers to 10, with a “win and you’re in” format for drivers in the top 20 in regular season points, before paring down to four drivers for the Texas finale.

How To Cold-proof Your All-terrain Vehicle (ATV)

All-terrain vehicle (ATV) enthusiasts love riding throughout the year. Neither the smoldering sun nor the heavy rain stops them from testing trails. And neither does snow! If you are someone who is excited to gear up for an adventurous ride through white carpets of snow,  you need to first prepare for the elements. But how?

  • Battery

If you plan to keep the battery in your quad during the winter season, you’ll want to consider spending a bit on a new battery specifically for the winter season. You’ll also want a good smart charger as cold weather takes a toll on your battery. Make sure to buy a universal battery charger for ATVs to be certain it will work for you.

Tip: If you don’t ride too often another way of protecting your battery from cold is by keeping it inside your home to keep it warm while not in use.

  • Fuel

In cold weather, water tends to condense inside the fuel tank creating big problems for you. Moisture inside the tank prevents the engine from starting. Also, the cold weather increases the chances of water getting frozen in the fuel lines. This completely prevents the gas from reaching the engine, again preventing the vehicle from starting or giving it a rough run.

The best tip to prevent this from happening is by adding a fuel stabilizer to your gas, which will keep it functioning as the temperature drops. Adding a fuel stabilizer is a sure-fire way of enjoying a smooth and adventurous ride cutting through the snow.

To use it, add a little to the bottom of your gas container and then add more fuel on top to help the stabilizer mix in with the fuel then pour into the gas tank. Keep the engine running for a few minutes to allow it to reach the fuel lines.

  • Engine oil

A good quality engine oil facilitates easy starting and enough power to ride on the snow. If the quality of your engine oil is compromised, you may not be able to enjoy your ride at all.

Make sure you keep changing the oil frequently to avoid any engine oil-related issues throughout the winter season. Also, change the oil filters frequently to further smoothen your ride.

  • Spark plugs

Even if you miss replacing the spark plugs during the winter season, it won’t affect your ATV riding experience. But, if you are pondering over changing the spark plugs, the right time is to schedule it just before the onset of the winter season to make it easy for you to start your ATV in extremely cold weather.

  • Air filter

The most amount of dust and debris buildup happens in your air filters. And, when you ride in the snow, it can also get pulled into them. When the moisture from the snow mixes with the dust it forms mud, hindering the flow of air in your engine, compromising its function.

For a better ride, before riding in the snow, clean or replace the air filters to avoid this.

  • Tires

Sometimes gaining traction becomes a big problem while riding on snow. But, you can easily manage it by keeping your tires a little under-inflated to increase the surface area that comes in contact with the ground, thereby gaining more traction. Also, with a less inflated tire, you create a larger more flat surface on the tire’s bottom where it sits on the surface of the snowmaking the ATV sit more on top of the snow rather than sinking into it. This trick easily works for all models of ATVs.

Alternatively, you can consider getting studded tires or tire chains for winter riding as well to improve your traction and grip.

The bottom line

Summer, rain, autumn, winter — an ATV enthusiast knows how to enjoy every season with their beloved quad. Now that you know how to prepare your ATV for the chilly winter season, cold-proof it and enjoy your ATV riding in the snow.
