JEFF AND SETH DYER FINISH THE 2024 SEASON THIS WEEK

Jeff Dyer at Perris Auto Speedway. Kenny Lonngren photo.

(Yucca Valley, CA, November 26, 2024) With the holidays beckoning just around the corner, Jeff Dyer and his teenage son Seth are set to finish their 2024 racing seasons this Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Wednesday’s show will be the 8th annual Western States Lightning Sprint Car Championship for the California Lightning Sprint Cars at the Bakersfield Speedway. Both Jeff and Seth will be racing in that one. Friday and Saturday, Jeff will compete in the Inland Rigging Ultimate Sprint Car Series portion of the 83rd Turkey Night Grand Prix at the Ventura Raceway.

Wednesday’s race had originally been scheduled for Tuesday night. However, heavy rainstorms on Monday and Tuesday forced the event’s postponement until Wednesday. It will be the final race in the 30th season for the California Lightning Sprint Cars. Jeff, a California Highway Patrol Officer, when he is not racing, sits comfortably in third heading into the finale. Seventeen-year-old Seth is seventh in the CLS championship standings, but he is only 10 points out of sixth.

Jeff’s best finish with the CLS on “The West’s Fastest 1/3 Mile High Banked Clay Oval” in 2024 came on March 16th when he placed second. Seth’s best showing at the “Okie Bowl” came when he finished fourth on May 18th. However, in June the teen led the first nine laps of the main event and seemed to have the field covered until he slowed with a broken engine.

After Wednesday, the team will slap restrictors on the Cal Smith Racing/Dyer Motorsports yellow #39 410 sprint car and head to the prestigious Turkey Knight Grand Prix at Ventura. It will be Jeff’s first appearance in one of the USA’s most famous dirt track races. On Friday night, he will be one of 60 cars trying to race their way into Saturday’s finale. Only the top 42 in points on Friday will race again on Saturday.

The two nights of racing at the track, which is located at the beach on the Ventura County Fairgrounds, will be Jeff’s first time in a full-size sprint car at Ventura in 2024. However, he has been a force on the tiny track this year in lightning sprints. In five starts, he has two runner-up results, two third-place finishes, and he came home ninth once.

Adult general admission tickets at Bakersfield are $25.00. For kids 6-12, general admission tickets are $15.00. For children 5 and under, general admission tickets are free. For seniors 65+ and military (ID required), general admission tickets are $22.00. The track is located at 5001 N. Chester Ext., in Bakersfield (93308). The track website is http://www.bakersfieldspeedway.com/ and the office phone number is (661) 393-3373.

At Ventura, spectator gates will open at 3:00 p.m., with cars on the track at 3:30 on both days. Advance tickets can be purchased at www.venturaraceway.com. Additional information is available at 805-648-7223. The famous track is located on the Ventura County Fairgrounds at 10 W. Harbor Boulevard in Ventura (93001).

For fans who cannot make it to the track, all three nights will be streamed live on Flo Racing.

Seth wrapped up the GAS Chassis Young Gun portion of his 2024 season at Perris Auto Speedway on November 9th. A clogged fuel line between the tank and the filter forced him to drop out of the race early.

In 2024, the following marketing partners will help keep the Dyers on track. Dependable Machine Inc., Haircuts By Susie, Jobu Racing, LBA Investigations, Straight Time Stirrups, Justice Brothers, Fonseca Racing, Specialty Fasteners, and Blud Racing Lubricants. If you would like to be a part of Dyer Motorsports in 2024, call (760) 550-7237 or send an email to mailto:dyermotorsports4@gmail.com.

Jeff is racing in memory of his grandparents, Glenn, and Beverly Sels, throughout the 2024 season.

FUNNY CAR’S AUSTIN PROCK LEAVES NO DOUBT EN ROUTE TO DOMINANT NHRA CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON

Prock’s record-breaking season, including monumental 341.68 mph blast, 8 wins and 15 No. 1 qualifiers, leads to first world title

INDIANAPOLIS (Nov. 26, 2024) – Making a dream a reality is never easy, but surrounded by family and a standout team, Funny Car’s Austin Prock lived out a lifelong aspiration during his dominant, championship-winning 2024 season in the Mission Foods Drag Racing Series.

Prock left no doubt, turning in one of the most incredible seasons in recent Funny Car history, blistering track records, setting national marks and making the fastest run in NHRA history in the process.

It was everything Prock dreamed of – and much, much more – when he made his Funny Car debut this season. Filling in for John Force Racing President Robert Hight, a three-time world champion, Prock had big shoes to fill, but it’s an opportunity he relished. Prock raced alongside star crew chief and his father, Jimmy Prock, and his brother, Thomas, fulfilling a dream that only seemed to get better as the season went on.

Prock won eight races, tying him with Hight and Ron Capps for the most in a single season in Funny Car since 2000, with his playoff victory in Las Vegas putting him in position to clinch the world title during qualifying in Pomona. The 2019 Rookie of the Year did that and then went 3.804-seonds – the quickest run in Funny Car since 2017 and the fourth-quickest in history – to close out qualifying and his championship season with an emphatic exclamation point in his 11,000-horsepower Cornwell Tools/AAA Chevrolet Camaro SS.

“If you have a dream, go for it,” Prock said. “If you’re passionate about something, go after it. You’re not going to be the best if you don’t put in the most work and the most effort, and all I’ve ever cared about is driving a race car. We’ve always been passionate about it and we’ve always been surrounded by great people.

“I didn’t feel much pressure at all, all season long. I was nervous getting into a totally different car, but this is what I’ve dreamed of. I just tried to block everything out and focus on what I needed to do. I study my craft every day and see things I can do better. I know I can drive a race car, it was just a matter of if I could do it at a championship level. I was not going to be a weak link. I told myself I was going to work hard and get the job done, and we did it.”

Prock grabbed everyone’s attention immediately in Gainesville, qualifying No. 1 with a stout 3.820 and advancing to the final round. His first career Funny Car victory came two races later in Phoenix, following it with a runner-up to his boss, John Force, in Epping and a victory in Bristol.

The following race was an emotional one, but Prock won in Richmond following Force’s devastating crash in eliminations. He added another victory in Seattle and then closed out the regular season in style, picking up his first career U.S. Nationals victory. In that span, Prock was building something special in qualifying, too, putting him close to a record Force set nearly 30 years ago.

Force took 13 No. 1 qualifiers that year, but Prock sped past that, tying the mark in Dallas with a 3.813 and then setting the single-second Funny Car (and nitro) record for top qualifiers in a season with a 3.817 in Las Vegas. He added one more for good measure thanks to his 3.804 in Pomona, giving him 15 No. 1 qualifiers in 20 races.

The championship was always the main goal and Prock left no doubt there, either. He won the first two playoff rounds and put together 14 straight round wins at one point from Indy through St. Louis. The championship was practically sewn up in Vegas and by Saturday night in Pomona, Prock was able to exhale with the trophy in his hands.

“You always come into a race season wanting to do well and everyone on this team just did an outstanding job,” Prock said. “We all kept our heads down through the good moments, the bad moments and that’s what it takes to be a champion. This year has just been filled with so much emotion.

“I’ve been working towards this for 19 years. I started driving race cars when I was 10 years old and all I could think of was being a professional race car driver in any manner and winning the world championship, and we got it done this year. I got to do it with my family, with my dad turning the knobs with my brother. I’m really proud of that.”

The numbers speak for themselves, as Prock enjoyed six of the seven quickest runs in Funny Car this season. He qualified No. 1 in five of the six Countdown races, advancing to 12 final rounds and racking up a spectacular 53-12 record in 2024. To fully finish off the season with a remarkable bow, Prock went an amazing 341.68 mph during eliminations in Pomona, making the fastest run in NHRA history. It was a lasting parting shot for the season, but if Prock has his way, it won’t be his last.

“We don’t plan on letting up anytime soon,” Prock said. “We plan on getting better in the off-season, and we want to get these Camaros quicker and faster. I’m excited for next year and it’s a heck of an opportunity. I’m proud to be part of John Force Racing and all the great partnerships we have.”

7 Benefits of Commercial Vehicle Decals and Wraps

Billboard advertising has long been known to enhance visibility, drive audience conversion, and even provide access to targeted & wider ranges of audiences. As a result, it is largely considered a path to marketing success, especially in populated cities like Richmond and the likes. But does this mean that it has no drawbacks?

High & ongoing costs, limited exposure time, and distraction & road mishaps are just a few. For more insight into the pros and cons of this advertisement medium, you can visit: https://connectusfund.org/.

Fortunately, the use of vehicle decals and wraps leverages most of the benefits of billboard advertising while avoiding most of its drawbacks. Read on as this article discusses more on this.

How Commercial Vehicle Decals and Wraps Boost Your Brand

How Commercial Vehicle Decals and Wraps Boost Your Brand

Several things can and should be done in the spirit of creating and boosting brand awareness. Investment in vehicle decals and wraps is one such thing considering how good a job it does at this. Some of the reasons for this stance include the following:

Mobile Marketing

As effective as they may be, billboards are static, and this in itself is a limitation. Mobility is an advantage of commercial vehicle decals and wraps in this regard. In essence, brands that invest in this advertisement medium enjoy publicity wherever such vehicles play and are stationed.

As a result, loads of impressions are generated continuously. This is both during normal business hours and even off such hours, further increasing the chances of reaching prospective customers in various demographics and geographic locations. Overall, the goal of marketing is achieved whether such vehicles are on the move or stationary.

Enhanced Brand Image

The commitment to offering quality products and/or services is key to running a successful and well-patronized business. However, it is not all there is.

It would even interest you to know that many businesses offer quality products and/or services but are not doing so well. Failure to create and sustain the right brand image is a possible and common reason for this. This is because audience perception matters a lot, which is why investment should be made in that regard.

Bearing this in mind, the use of vehicle decals and wraps enhances a business’s brand image. For starters, it makes the company’s vehicle fleet look polished and cohesive as a whole. An additional advantage is that even older vehicles tend to look better with this advertisement feature in place.

Ultimately, it leads to brand recall and not just brand recognition. These are therefore substantial reasons to consider investment in this advertisement medium.

Vehicle Protection

The marketing and publicity benefits of using vehicle decals and wraps are quite evident. However, the functionality is not limited to this.

Additionally, vehicles that have car window decals are better protected from several things that affect regular vehicles. Specifically, these are things that usually damage the paintwork of vehicles, such as:

  • Road Debris
  • UV Damage
  • Weather Exposure
  • Minor Scratches

The point here is that maintenance of resale value is possible with this advertisement feature in place. For example, besides offering impactful mobile advertising in major cities like Richmond, this vehicle wraps Richmond service providers come up with creative and effective ideas that attract prospects and recall established clients. It is also worth mentioning that the removal of these wraps is possible without damage to the original paint.

This is as long as it is high quality, and it is professionally installed and removed. So, bear this in mind as well.

Cost-Effectiveness & Significant ROI

The use of vehicle decals & wraps is one of the most cost-effective ways to create brand awareness and generally market products and services. This is because it usually requires a one-time cost that covers the design, production, and installation.

The same cannot be said about alternatives such as billboards and digital advertising. This is because their costs are recurring.

With this option, advertising value is continuous despite the one-time cost. For better context, some businesses go on to use them for years and enjoy the significant returns on investment that come with them. You should know that they can last for as long as 7 years and even slightly more, provided they are properly maintained.

Great Way to Target Local Market

Building a strong presence in the local community is a great way to win over members of the said community. The use of vehicle decals & wraps makes this a huge possibility.

For example, experience has proven how the high visibility rate leads to more word-of-mouth commentary and possibly (recommendations and referrals). Overall, it leads to community familiarity which is great for businesses.

Competitive Advantage

Companies that use vehicle decals & wraps have an edge over companies that do not. This is in light of all the advantages discussed above and a lot more.

Overall, companies that make the most of this advertising medium are often perceived as more successful and professional in their operations. You just need to understand that target audiences are largely driven by perception and not just reality. So, it is worth creating the right perception through the positive use of vehicle decals & wraps.

Lead Generation

A sales funnel explains how eventual clients go through a process before they become clients. It all starts with lead generation. By the way, you can watch this for more information on what this is about.

Well, the use of vehicle decals & wraps is an effective way to generate leads. For starters, this is given how it makes it possible to clearly display important information such as contact details to interested parties. The use of very creative and memorable designs further makes this a possibility.

Secondly, technology also plays a huge part in helping with lead generation. For example, it is possible to have QR codes incorporated, enabling digital engagement.

Conclusion

Investment in vehicle decals & wraps can turn out to be the best marketing decision that a business makes. However, this is provided that it is handled by professionals who are up to the task.

In simpler terms, this implies professionals capable and committed to producing creative and memorable designs, as well as properly installing them. So, make this a yardstick when on the lookout for such professionals.

Disability: A Scary Consequence of Surviving a Car Accident

xr:d:DAFQUqCSy_4:71,j:45675297301,t:23012313

Car accidents are a common occurrence, often resulting in serious injuries. The long-term consequences of these accidents can be devastating. Car accident attorneys know firsthand how a seemingly minor collision can lead to life-altering disabilities.

These disabilities can significantly impact survivors’ physical and emotional well-being, affecting their ability to work, socialize, and enjoy life to the fullest.

The Physical Toll of Car Accidents

Car accidents can inflict many physical injuries, many of which can have lasting consequences. Common injuries include:

  • Spinal cord injuries: These injuries can result in paralysis, loss of sensation, and impaired bodily functions.
  • Traumatic brain injuries (TBIs): TBIs can cause cognitive impairments, emotional disturbances, and physical limitations.
  • Amputations: Severe injuries may necessitate the amputation of limbs.
  • Bone fractures: Broken bones can lead to chronic pain, limited mobility, and arthritis.
  • Internal organ damage: Internal injuries can cause significant complications and require extensive medical treatment.

These injuries can lead to permanent disabilities, significantly impacting survivors’ quality of life.

The Emotional Impact of Disability

Beyond the physical toll, car accidents can have a profound impact on a survivor’s emotional well-being. Many survivors grapple with a range of mental health challenges, including:

  • Depression: Feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and worthlessness can be overwhelming.
  • Anxiety: Constant worry, fear, and panic attacks can disrupt daily life.
  • Grief: The loss of independence, former abilities, and a sense of normalcy can lead to deep grief.
  • Anger: Resentment towards the accident, the responsible party, or oneself can be a common reaction.
  • Social isolation: Difficulty adapting to a new lifestyle and physical limitations can lead to feelings of loneliness and isolation.

These emotional struggles can significantly impact survivors’ quality of life, affecting their relationships, work performance, and overall happiness.

The Economic Burden of Disability

The economic burden of disability can be substantial, affecting both individuals and their families. Survivors often face significant financial challenges, including:

  • Medical expenses: Ongoing medical care, therapies, and medications can be costly.
  • Lost wages: Reduced earning potential due to limitations or inability to work.
  • Home and vehicle modifications: Adapting living spaces and vehicles to accommodate disabilities can require substantial investments.
  • Assistive devices: Wheelchairs, prosthetics, and other assistive technologies can be expensive.

The Social Stigma Surrounding Disability

Individuals with disabilities often face societal stigma and discrimination. Negative stereotypes and misconceptions can lead to social isolation, prejudice, and exclusion. These challenges can exacerbate the emotional impact of disability and hinder survivors’ ability to fully participate in society.

Overcoming Challenges and Finding Support

Seeking professional help is crucial for car accident survivors. Therapists and rehabilitation specialists can provide guidance and support in managing physical and emotional challenges. Support groups and online communities offer opportunities to connect with others who share similar experiences, reducing feelings of isolation and providing valuable advice.

Embracing one’s new reality and finding ways to adapt to life’s challenges is essential for long-term well-being. Setting realistic goals, building a strong support network, and pursuing hobbies and interests can help survivors find meaning and purpose.

Toni Breidinger joins TRICON Garage for first full-time Truck campaign in 2025

Photo by Ron Olds for SpeedwayMedia.com.

Toni Breidinger will elevate her racing status to new heights in 2025 by joining TRICON Garage for her first full-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series campaign in 2025.

For her rookie Truck season, Breidinger will be driving the No. 5 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro, an entry that was formerly piloted by Dean Thompson, and receive partnership support from CELSIUS, Raising Cane’s and Sunoco.

The news comes as Breidinger, a 25-year-old racer from San Francisco, California, is coming off her second full-time season in the ARCA Menards Series, where she drove for Venturini Motorsports. Through 20-scheduled events, she recorded 11 top-10 results, an average-finishing result of 12.2 and a career-best fourth-place result in the final standings.

“Racing full-time with TRICON is a dream for me. It’s been a 15-year process to get here but I’m so excited for this moment and ready to capitalize on it,” Breidinger said. “I wouldn’t have this opportunity if it wasn’t for Toyota, Raising Cane’s, CELSIUS, and Sunoco. I’m beyond grateful to have these partners and team in my corner to take this next step in my career.”

Breidinger, who grew up competing in go-karts, claimed the USAC Speed2 Western US Asphalt Midget Series Rookie-of-the-Year title in 2014 before she claimed the championship two years later. In 2018, Breidinger made her first three career starts in the ARCA Menards Series with Venturini Motorsports. Since then, she made a total of 65 career starts in the ARCA division in five seasons (2018 & 2021-24). Throughout her starts, she recorded four top-five results and 27 top-10 results, with her best result being a third-place run at Kansas Speedway in September 2023.

During the 2023 season, Breidinger made her Truck Series debut at Kansas Speedway while driving the No. 1 Toyota entry for TRICON Garage, where she finished in a career-best 15th place. She made two additional Truck starts with TRICON throughout the 2023 season before she made her recent series’ start at Daytona International Speedway in February 2024, where she finished 27th.

Breidinger’s addition to TRICON’s 2025 Truck Series lineup adds another missing piece to the team’s roster as Corey Heim and Tanner Gray were already announced to return for next year’s Truck season. Additional plans for TRICON’s driver lineup and Dean Thompson have yet to be determined.

With her plans for next season set, Toni Breidinger’s first full-time campaign in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is set to commence at Daytona International Speedway to commence the 2025 racing season. The event is scheduled to occur on February 14 and air at 7:30 p.m. ET on FS1.

FOURTH NHRA WORLD TITLE WORTH THE WAIT FOR TOP FUEL’S ANTRON BROWN

Brown gets past loaded field in Pomona, earns 80th career win to cap off dream weekend, first title as team owner

INDIANAPOLIS (Nov. 25, 2024) – On a day that summed up just how incredible the competition is in the Top Fuel category, Antron Brown’s fourth world championship – and first as a team owner – came only after a remarkable run through a loaded field at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip.

Eight years after he won his third title, Brown had to earn every bit of his fourth championship at the In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals, knocking off Justin Ashley, Shawn Langdon, Brittany Force and Doug Kalitta to cap off one of the biggest days in his spectacular career.

It was necessary work to win a title, but by no means was it easy work for Brown and his standout team. Ashley entered the weekend as the points leader, Langdon was third (one point behind Brown), and both Kalitta and Force were in championship contention. An early defeat would have ended Brown’s championship dreams, but the four-time champion embraced the moment – as he always seems to do in pressure situations – and slipped past Ashley in a side-by-side thriller in his 11,000-horsepower Matco Tools/Toyota dragster.

He then got past Langdon and clinched the championship against Force, going 3.693-seconds to claim NHRA’s ultimate prize. For good measure, Brown finished the weekend with his 80th career win, the final brushstroke on a championship that puts the amazing Brown in even more elite territory.

“This is what you have to do to win a championship,” Brown said. “If you look at the Top Fuel class right now, it’s incredible. You can keep going down the list. I’m telling you, pound-for-pound, Top Fuel is the toughest class out there. Just winning the first round now is like winning a final round.

“You’ve got to be at a top-notch level no matter who you’re racing. We’ve done our fair share of winning this year and once we got in a groove, it really helped our confidence. But no matter what, this is a team that stays humble and stays hungry, and we’re always learning to improve. That’s what we did Sunday in Pomona.”

All year, Brown and his team rose to occasion. By winning a fourth championship, he joins Tony Schumacher, Steve Torrence and Joe Amato as the only Top Fuel drivers to win four or more championships, while his 80 wins are good for sixth-most in NHRA history.

This season was filled with highlights for the fan-favorite, starting the year with a victory and a huge payday at the Pep Boys Top Fuel All-Star Callout. Brown then won regular-season races in Chicago, Norwalk and Sonoma, entering the Countdown to the Championship fifth in points.

He was a dynamo to open the postseason, winning back-to-back races in Reading and Charlotte to jump into the points lead. But as quickly as things came together, adversity came in the loaded Top Fuel field, as Brown post just two round wins at the next three races, falling to second in points.

Nobody, though, could take command in that stretch – another nod to the incredible competition in the class – giving Brown an opportunity to finish the job in Pomona. He did that and more, knocking off the points leader and three world champions to capture his first championship since officially forming AB Motorsports.

“This is super special,” Brown said. “We just never lost faith. It’s truly been a blessing. It hasn’t been easy and we’ve had those races where you’ve had to do the unthinkable to get it done, and I’m so proud of my team for getting it done. We’ve been through these moments time and time again to win a championship. That’s where the experience kicks in and it was a lot of fun to go through them.”

It was certainly a difficult road, as Brown qualified just 12th in Pomona to set up the marquee matchup with Ashley right off the bat. Brown was stellar on the starting line and had just enough to squeak past Ashley, going 3.696 to his 3.704. After a 3.693 against Force, Brown closed out the day with a 3.681 to defeat Kalitta and claim his sixth victory of the season.

Brown was perfect in final-rounds in 2024, again rising to the occasion when the situation called for it. He remained firmly focused on a championship all season, but now that it’s here, the champion was thrilled to take a minute to reflect on what he accomplished and the road it took to get there.

“I’m not one of those people to look at all those accolades. I’m always hungry for the next, so this championship is going to sit well this off-season,” Brown said. “This class is only going to get tougher, so we’re going to have to keep working harder. Looking at all the things we’ve done the last three years, it’s been incredible. I’m just so blessed to be on a team with the group of people we have. Everyone on this team digs in deep and we have so many key people who make this happen. That’s a testament to all the work we do together. We have a lot of strong links and we have a group that never quits.”

SPIRE MOTORSPORTS CONTINUES TO STRENGTHEN COMPETITION STAFF

Matt McCall Named Director of Vehicle Performance, Dax Gerringer Tabbed Technical Director

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (November 25, 2024) – Today, Spire Motorsports announced two key appointments to its competition staff.

Veteran crew chief Matt McCall has been named Director of Vehicle Performance and accomplished race engineer Dax Gerringer has been named Technical Director for the Mooresville organization’s three-car NASCAR Cup Series teams, effective immediately.

McCall comes to Spire Motorsports from RFK Racing where he spent the last three seasons serving as crew chief for 2012 Cup Series Champion and RFK co-owner Brad Keselowski. The Denver, N.C., native is an 11-year-veteran crew chief in NASCAR’s premier division and has called race wins for both Keselowski and 2004 Cup Series titlist Kurt Busch.

“This is a great addition for our team and one that means a lot to me, personally,” said Spire Motorsports co-owner Jeff Dickerson. “Matt is a longtime friend, one of my first handful of NASCAR clients I had when I was a young agent, and we’ve always shared the same view of how race cars work and race teams operate. I’m happy the stars finally aligned for us to work together, and I look forward to adding him to an already impressive group for 2025.”

Gerringer carved out nine seasons with Stewart-Haas Racing where he most recently served as lead race engineer supporting the No. 4 team’s Cup Series’ efforts.

McCall and Gerringer will be tasked with working across Spire Motorsports Cup Series teams and directly with Competition Director Ryan Sparks on competitive development, R&D and further fortifying the team’s relationship with Chevrolet and General Motors. Both will service all three teams and provide additional resources for crew chiefs Rodney Childers, Luke Lambert and Travis Peterson.

In its initial season as a full-time three-car operation in NASCAR’s premier division, Spire Motorsports collected four top-five and 13 top-10 finishes with drivers Justin Haley, Corey LaJoie, Zane Smith and 2024 Sunoco Rookie of the Year Carson Hocevar.

“I am really excited and grateful for this opportunity,” said McCall. “Spire Motorsports’ upward trajectory has been impressive and I look forward to becoming part of the success. I’ve had a long relationship with (Jeff) Dickerson and I’ve known him for close to 25 years. I got to know him when he was doing driver representation, and I was trying to carve out a career as a driver. We built a great relationship and have always stayed in communication. The way things panned out, there was an opportunity to come to Spire. We always wanted to work together, and the timing was right. That was a big part of my decision. Knowing what’s being built here and what the future looks like is exciting.”

Over the course of 11 seasons calling Cup Series races, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte alumnus, has tallied two poles, four wins, 47 top-five and 134 top-10 finishes.

McCall’s most recent win came in May’s Goodyear 500 at Darlington Raceway where Keselowski led the race’s final eight circuits to capture the checkered flag at the legendary “Track Too Tough To Tame.” During his three seasons leading RFK’s No. 6 squad, the McCall/Keselowski duo posted one pole, one win, 17 top-five and 26 top-10 finishes while pacing the field for 881 laps.

Prior to his time with RFK, McCall spent seven seasons with Chip Ganassi Racing where he handled pit boss chores for Busch and Jamie McMurray and led the organization to playoff berths in six of the seven years he was with the team.

He also served as race engineer for Richard Childress Racing and played a key role in the team’s runner-up finish with driver Ryan Newman during the 2014 NASCAR Playoffs.

Separate from his positions as a crew chief and race engineer, McCall had a successful driving career, earning over 60 late-model stock car wins. He has also made seven starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and two in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series.

Gerringer, who holds a master’s degree in engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, spent the last nine seasons with Stewart-Haas Racing alongside Childers as Lead Engineer for the No. 4 team with 2014 Cup Series Champion Kevin Harvick and most recently Josh Berry.

From 2016-2022, the Gibsonville, N.C., native collected 29 wins including back-to-back victories (2019-2020) at the famed Brickyard 400.

“I am honored and thankful to join the Spire family and contribute to the rising momentum of this young race team,” said Gerringer. “The atmosphere Jeff (Dickerson) created with his race team and the support I felt from management to accept the challenge of a new role is ultimately what attracted me to Spire Motorsports. They stressed team effort with everyone pulling the rope in the same direction and that creates a great working environment. With over 20 years in the sport and 34 wins at the Cup Series level, my goal is to join this talented group and bring the best possible product to the racetrack to elevate Spire Motorsports’ performance.”

Prior to his time with Stewart-Haas, Gerringer worked with Childers and Spire Motorsports’ CRAFTSMAN Truck Series crew chief Brian Pattie at Michael Waltrip Racing, where the father of two earned race wins with David Reutimann and Clint Bowyer, including a second-place points finish during the 2012 championship chase.

He began his professional career at Bill Davis Racing where he worked closely with drivers Dave Blaney, Jeremy Mayfield, Michael Waltrip and Scott Wimmer.

“The addition of Dax Gerringer continues to demonstrate the priority Spire Motorsports places on adding technical depth to our team,” said Spire Motorsports president Doug Duchardt. “Dax is a talented engineer who was highly sought after in the industry. We are very fortunate to add him to our roster. I look forward to seeing him work with Matt McCall and our crew chiefs. We have complete confidence their collective efforts will result in fast race cars and a very competitive on-track product.”
