NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS ON THE LINE FOR NHRA SUMMIT RACING SERIES COMPETITORS AT THE STRIP AT LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY

NHRA Summit Racing Series

LAS VEGAS (Oct. 18, 2024) – After a thrilling road to Las Vegas, 40 standout competitors are now ready to race for a NHRA Summit Racing Series National Championship as part of the upcoming Ford Performance NHRA Nationals, which takes place Oct. 31-Nov. 3 at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

This annual event pits the nation’s top drivers from the NHRA Summit Series, which has a list 75,000 drivers at NHRA member tracks across North America, looking for their shot at a championship in the Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman, Motorcycle and Street Legal EV categories.

The ”Road to Vegas” started with racers competing in the Summit E.T. Finals across the seven NHRA divisions, with winners advancing to take part in the championship as part of the national event. It’s the culmination of an impressive program that includes nearly $300,000 in annual series contingency postings up for grabs. Along with the purse, also up for grabs is a national championship Wally trophy, a championship jacket and much more.

“We’re thrilled to be part of another incredible season in the NHRA Summit Series and everyone at Summit Racing Equipment is looking forward to a tremendous finish in Las Vegas and the chance to crown national champions,” said Jim Greenleaf, Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports & Events Manager. “These racers deserve a spotlight like the one they will get in Las Vegas and it’s also exciting to see some of the new special prizes and opportunities that have been added to the weekend for the competitors. There continues to be great growth and participation in the series, and we can’t wait to see who becomes a NHRA Summit Racing Series National Champion.”

This season, the series continued to boast incredible participation, as each of the NHRA divisions offered a multitude of new and unique items at their respective Summit E.T. Finals. An Eastern Canadian E.T. Finals also took place for the first time in NHRA history in 2024 at Napierville Dragway in Quebec. The E.T. Finals there were a championship-level event mirroring the seven NHRA Divisional E.T. Finals currently contested.

Now, it finishes with a must-see national championship in Las Vegas and a diverse group of drivers competing in many types of vehicles, including dragsters, roadsters, sedans, coupes, motorcycles, and electric cars.

On the line is ultimate bragging rights, trophies and the impressive purse. The intense racing action in Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman, Motorcycle and Street Legal EV categories will put on a memorable experience at the NHRA Summit Racing Series National Championship in Las Vegas, and it’s a weekend filled with excitement for the 40 competitors.

It starts with a welcome dinner on Thursday, Oct. 31, which will also feature a chip draw for the first four positions, who will then call out the remaining drivers to set the first-round matchups.

Special prizes will also be raffled off between the 40 finalists, including NHRA suite passes for a day, experience a nitro car warmup in the pits and more. All finalists will have marquee access during Top Fuel and Funny Car qualifying sessions, as well as a parade in front of the grandstands in Vegas and introductions during the official pre-race ceremonies at the Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, putting the racers in front of the fans before running for a championship.

“It’s been a terrific year in the NHRA Summit Series, which continues to be a great way for a driver to compete in NHRA Drag Racing. That entry-level foundation of our sportsman programs remains a vital part of the sport’s growth and longevity, which makes a weekend like the one in Las Vegas so exciting,” said Evan Jonat, NHRA Vice President of Live Events. “Each of the classes have enjoyed strong support in 2024 and it’s great to see outstanding partners like Summit Racing Equipment see the value and importance in this series.”

AUSTIN DILLON QUOTE:

What are your thoughts on Las Vegas Motor Speedway?

“Las Vegas Motor Speedway has always been one of my favorite tracks. It’s big, fast, bumpy, and it has a lot of lines that you can choose from. I’m looking forward to going there this weekend in the No. 3 Boot Barn Chevrolet. Being able to turn through the bumps in Turn 1 is very important. In Turn 3, you can’t miss the entry. The track has gotten a lot of character over the last couple of years, and that is what makes it fun to drive. We’re on a mission on the No. 3 team to turn our luck around and Las Vegas is the perfect place to do that.”

Kyle Busch and the No. 8 FICO Chevrolet at Las Vegas Motor Speedway… Kyle Busch made his first NASCAR Cup Series start at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 7, 2004, and since then, he has gone on to achieve much success at his home track. Busch will make his 27th Cup Series start this weekend at the Nevada oval. He won from the pole position in 2009 and remains the only driver in track history to accomplish the feat. The Las Vegas native has racked up 12 top-five and 15 top-10 finishes, including five top-five results in the last seven Las Vegas races (dating back to 2021). Busch also has secured two pole positions (2008 and 2009) at the 1.5-mile track.

An Impressive Track Record… Busch owns numerous Cup Series records at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. In 2009, he became the youngest race winner (23 years, 9 months, and 27 days) in track history. Among active drivers Busch owns the most top-five finishes (12) and starts (26).

Welcome FICO… FICO, Richard Childress Racing and Busch are teaming up to raise awareness about the need for financial education. For the millions of NASCAR fans across the country, knowledge about money, financial planning, how credit works and the importance of building good financial habit are critical life skills. Meet Busch… On Saturday, October 19 at 12 Noon local time, Busch is scheduled to sign autographs at the RCR Merchandise Hauler in the Fan Zone at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Wristband will be required for access.

KYLE BUSCH QUOTES:

You ran well at the spring race in Las Vegas Motor Speedway. How satisfying would it be to run strong again and finish well at this race?

“We did run well there in the spring so it would be really nice to back up that run this weekend. Since the summer break, we have gotten faster as a group thanks to all the effort and hard work by everyone at RCR and ECR. Now we just need to put a whole race together in order to score a win.”

Do you agree that racing at the mile-and-a-half tracks has been good recently?

“I would say that there have been some good races on the mile-and-a-half race tracks this year. We have definitely seen some exciting finishes and some great battles.”

The Cup Series race has an early start time on Sunday. Would you be in favor of starting Cup Series races earlier in the day instead of mid-afternoon?

“I think the start times for Cup Series races should always be around the 1 p.m. local time window wherever we are.”

Jesse Love and the No. 2 Whelen Chevrolet at Las Vegas Motor Speedway… Jesse Love has made one career NASCAR Xfinity Series start at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, coming earlier this season in just the third race of his rookie campaign. The 19-year-old showed speed throughout the event but had problems on pit road before finishing in the 17th position. Growing up in Menlo Park, California, Love attended races at the 1.5-mile oval in person throughout his life.

Did You Know? Love currently leads the Sunoco Rookie of the Year points standings and is the only yellow stripe competitor to advance to the Round of 8.

JESSE LOVE QUOTE:

What is your thought process as the Round of 8 begins at Las Vegas Motor Speedway?

“The Round of 8 is going to be harder for sure, but it’s tracks that are really good for me personally. This is where I’m going to have to take the gloves off and make something happen. We will take each race as it comes, starting with this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. We are coming in below the cutline, but everyone is close enough that if we maximize the day each week, I believe our team is good enough to make it to Phoenix Raceway. And if we can get there, we have a really good shot of winning the championship.”

Austin Hill and the No. 21 Global Industrial Chevrolet at Las Vegas Motor Speedway… Austin Hill has made six career NASCAR Xfinity Series starts at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, earning one win and four top-10 finishes. In eight NASCAR Truck Series starts at the Nevada speedway, the 30-year-old has led a total of 80 laps and captured two wins (fall 2019, fall 2020), four top-five, and six top-10 results.

Memory Bank… The last time Hill drove the Global Industrial colors at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the No. 21 Chevrolet claimed the checkered flag and drove to Victory Lane. In March 2023, the Winston, Georgia native started from the ninth position and moved forward to earn the Stage 2 victory. Running in second place with 10 laps to go, Hill consistently chased then leader Chandler Smith to make a late-race pass and secure the victory.

About Global Industrial Company… Global Industrial Company (NYSE:GIC), is a value-added distributor. For 75 years, Global Industrial has gone the extra mile for its customers, currently offering hundreds of thousands of industrial and MRO products needed to run businesses and facilities. Meet Hill… On Saturday, October 19 at 1:10 p.m. local time, Hill and his RCR teammate Jesse Love are scheduled to sign autographs at the RCR Merchandise Hauler located in the Fan Zone at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Immediately following at 1:30 p.m. local time, Hill will visit the South Point Casino booth in the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Fan Zone to sign autographs and greet fans. Stop by to meet the nine-time Xfinity Series winner and purchase new gear before the green flag waves.

AUSTIN HILL QUOTE:

With past success at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, what is the outlook for the No. 21 team this weekend?

“If you look at my career stats at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, in both the Truck Series and the Xfinity Series, we’ve found ways to run well inside the top-10 even on our off days. If there is one racetrack that is circled on my calendar during the Playoffs, it has to be this weekend. It is because of how well I’ve run there in the past and the fact that I’ve won there at both levels. Last season in the fall race, we finished seventh and our race car wasn’t the greatest, but it showed that even with a car that wasn’t where we wanted it to be, we could still finish strong. It’s a track that our team goes into with a mindset of if we are running inside the top-five in the closing laps, we have a very good shot of winning. Obviously if you can win this weekend, you are locked into the Championship 4 at Phoenix Raceway and that is our ultimate goal.”

JDX Racing Rides Road Atlanta Win to Porsche Carrera Cup Finale at Circuit of the Americas

Alex Sedgwick, Zachary Vanier, Elias De La Torre and Madeline Stewart Return in Season’s Final Race Weekend in Support of the United States Grand Prix

AUSTIN, Texas (October 18, 2024) – Less than seven days has passed since Zachary Vanier’s second and the team’s third win of the season, but JDX Racing has already arrived at Circuit of the Americas for the Porsche Carrera Cup North America season finale and a chance to secure strong finishes for both the team and its four drivers in the season-long standings.

Vanier’s double podium began with Thursday’s race at Road Atlanta, where he started from third on the grid in his No. 9 Technica Mining/Byers Imports Porsche 911 GT3 Cup and made a lap one move to slide around both his polesitting teammate in Alex Sedgwick and the championship leader Loek Hartog in the 10a/10b complex.

Not even a full course caution could slow Vanier once he found the lead. A safety car with 30 minutes to go in the 40-minute timed race erased a gap of more than two seconds, but a strong restart allowed him to hold the point. Vanier raced home for a 1.078-secon win for his second victory of the season, following it up with a third-place finish on Friday.

Sedgwick earned his fourth pole position of the season in the No. 98 PT Autosport/Byers Imports Porsche 911 GT3 Cup after a red-flag marred qualifying session and began Thursday’s race up front. His battle with the second-place car was one that opened the door for his teammate to take the lead but dropped him to fourth at the finish. He started third on Friday, losing the position to a hard-charging Vanier early on, and earned a second-consecutive fourth-place finish.

Elias De La Torre drove his No. 4 HCB Yachts/iKon Boats/Porsche Columbus Porsche 911 GT3 Cup to a pair of finishes inside the top 10 at Road Atlanta. De La Torre took advantage of the qualifying session red flags to start Thursday’s race on the outside of row three, putting him in the thick of the action before finishing 10th. He improved one spot at the checkered flag on Friday for a ninth-place finish.

Madeline Stewart was in the mix at the front of the field during Thursday’s race before an incident led to contact and ended her day after just seven laps. The JDX Racing crew went to work to have her No. 82 Spool Imports/Byers Imports Porsche 911 GT3 Cup ready for Friday’s race, and she fought back for a 10th-place finish of her own.

That weekend set up this week’s showdown in support of the Formula One United States Grand Prix at the Texas track. Sedgwick enters the season-finale doubleheader second in the Pro Class driver standings, seven points ahead of third place and 27 points ahead of Vanier in fourth. De La Torre is 10th, just three points from ninth place, with Stewart 15th in her rookie season of the championship.

All four enter Circuit of the Americas fresh off a recent test at the circuit, which includes a repave in advance of this season’s Formula One race that was completed in September. That provided data on the new surface, which Sedgwick, Vanier and Stewart can contrast with an early-season Porsche Endurance Challenge race that each participated in – co-driving with JDX Racing Porsche Sprint Challenge drivers.

Vanier will compete this weekend with another year of life experience under his belt, having turned 22-years-old on Wednesday of race week.

The Circuit of the Americas weekend begins with a single practice session on Friday in advance of Formula One’s Sprint Race Qualifying. Porsche Carrera Cup qualifying is at 9:50 a.m. CDT on Saturday morning, with the first of two 35-minute races at 3:40 p.m. CDT. Sunday’s race begins at noon CDT, the last official on-track session before the United States Grand Prix.

JDX Racing Quote Board

Zachary Vanier, Driver, No. 9 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, following his Road Atlanta win: “That win absolutely amazing. It by far ranks as one of the best, if not the best, race of my career. It was perfectly executed by the entire JDX Racing team. We were there testing and I felt like we left with a pretty good program and something we could compete with and I think we showed that. We had a really strong qualifying that put us in contention for this and then of course capitalized on everything we possibly could. I am absolutely thrilled, I can’t thank JDX Racing and all of my partners for being with me through this.”

Alex Sedgwick, Driver, No. 98 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup: “We have one more shot for a good weekend remaining in Carrera Cup, to finish on a high note. It’s been an awesome journey, and I’ve learned so much, thanks to the support and guidance from both JDX and PT Autosport. I really want to repay them for my opportunity in this series with two strong results, and underline what I am capable of as we look to graduate for the 2025 season. Our test here was one of the best tests we’ve had. We started well straightaway. It probably helped that I was there earlier in the year with (JDX Racing teammate) Eric Lapp for the USAC Endurance Challenge opener. It was more a matter of figuring out parts of the track that have been resurfaced, to see if they required a different driving input – so the test was more about just driving and working on the “on the fly” changes that I can do inside the car rather than overall set up. This surface seems almost slicker than it was, the tire can’t bite into it as much. It’s still quite dark and absorbs a good amount of heat.”

Madeline Stewart, Driver, No. 82 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup: “Round Seven of the Carrera Cup North America was a mixed bag for us. We showcased strong pace, qualifying and finishing 10th in race two. We faced a DNF in race one, which is part of racing. The key takeaway is that we made significant progress last week. This championship is incredibly competitive, and it takes more than that to achieve results. We are working hard every day to continue to develop and find those little gains that will propel us forward. I’m looking forward to racing this weekend at Circuit of the Americas for the final round of the championship. Having been here a couple of times I have come to really like this track. My focus is on maximizing our performance and finishing strong. The competition is tough, but I’m ready to make the most of this opportunity and see what we can achieve.”

Kevin Harvick Inc. and Rackley W.A.R. Announce Partnership for 2025 Season

Kevin Harvick Inc. and Rackley W.A.R. Announce Partnership for 2025 Season

Kevin and Keelan Harvick Join Driver Line-up for Rackley W.A.R.

Harrisburg, N.C. (October 18, 2024) – Forging a new path, Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) and Rackley W.A.R. announced today a partnership for 2025 that will focus on continuing to build and elevate Rackley W.A.R.’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and Late Model programs. The partnership will bring together Rackley W.A.R. co-owners, Willie Allen and Curtis Sutton, with NASCAR Champion driver and owner, Kevin Harvick.

Through the partnership, both Kevin and Keelan Harvick will join the driver line up for Rackley W.A.R.’s Super Late Model and Pro Late Model programs. In addition, Harvick will serve as a consultant to Rackley W.A.R.’s Truck Series program where development driver Dawson Sutton will transition to full-time Truck Series competition in 2025.

“Although KHI had some success this year in the Late Model Stock world, the Pros and Supers are different animals,” Kevin Harvick said. “We still plan to have a presence in the CARS Tour next year, but Rackley W.A.R. has a solid and proven track record that will drastically improve the learning curve for Keelan and I in the Super and Pro Late Models. In return, I hope that my years of owning and operating a championship winning truck program will help shorten Dawson’s learning curve in his rookie truck season and positively impact their truck program. We look forward to working with Willie and the Sutton family in 2025.”

Led by co-owner and 2007 Truck Series Rookie of the Year and Nashville Fairgrounds 2015 Pro Late Model Track Champion Willie Allen, the Rackley W.A.R. driver development program has helped mold some of today’s biggest names in NASCAR and continues to provide a winning seat for the next generation of racers. Most recently, Dawson Sutton took over the driving duties of the No. 25 truck and earned his best finish in the series with a fifth-place finish at Kansas Speedway, while continuing to compete and win in Late Model competition. With a roster that has included 2024 Daytona 500 winner William Byron, Ross Chastain, Josh Berry, Timothy Peters and Connor Zilisch, the future of Rackley W.A.R.’s driver development and Late Model programs will only continue to grow as the organization adds both Kevin and Keelan Harvick to the list.

“Teaming up with Kevin Harvick is a game-changer for us at Rackley W.A.R.,” said Rackley W.A.R. co-owner Willie Allen. “His experience as a champion driver and owner brings an incredible amount of knowledge that will help elevate our truck program to the next level. Having Keelan and Kevin join our Late Model team next season is just as exciting. We’re not just building a partnership—we’re building a future. There’s no doubt this collaboration will drive success, and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead.”

Through the partnership, Harvick will bring decades of championship winning experience on and off the track to elevate Rackley W.A.R. to the next level of competition. Harvick’s knowledge of team ownership, his competitive nature, valuable racing knowledge and desire to win is unparalleled.

“It’s exciting to have this opportunity present itself,” said Curtis Sutton, co-owner of Rackley W.A.R. “In our fifth year as an organization, Rackley W.A.R. is taking strategic steps for a successful 2025 and beyond. Kevin is the first link of many more to come. He will help Willie and I guide the Late Model and NASCAR Truck Series team for long term success.

“As you strive to grow any business, you have to surround yourself with exceptional people and winners,” continued Sutton. “Kevin and his family have both traits. Kevin has been a winner in everything he has done. I know this is going to be a great partnership for Rackley W.A.R. and KHI’s employees, drivers, vendors, sponsor’s and all of our fans.”

The 2025 NASCAR Truck Series season kicks off at Daytona International Speedway on Friday, February 14, with Dawson Sutton starting his rookie campaign and first season of full-time NASCAR competition.

Can You Drive After a Windshield Replacement? Safety Tips and Guidelines

When your vehicle’s windshield gets damaged, replacing it is crucial for your safety and the structural integrity of the car. However, one common concern that arises after a windshield replacement is whether it’s safe to drive immediately afterward. This article will guide you through the essential safety tips and guidelines to consider post-replacement, ensuring you can drive confidently and safely.

Understanding the Windshield Replacement Process

Before delving into driving considerations post-replacement, it’s essential to understand what the windshield replacement process entails. This generally includes:

  • Removal of the Damaged Windshield: A certified technician carefully removes the damaged windshield to avoid damaging the vehicle’s frame.
  • Preparation of the Frame: After removal, the area is cleaned to ensure a proper seal for the new windshield.
  • Installation of the New Windshield: A new windshield is fitted into place, and a high-quality adhesive is applied to bond it securely.
  • Curing Time: After installation, the adhesive needs time to cure. This curing process is critical for the windshield’s durability and structural integrity.

How Long Should You Wait Before Driving?

One of the most pressing questions following a windshield replacement is, “How long should I wait before driving?” The answer varies based on several factors, including:

  • Type of Adhesive Used: Most auto glass technicians use urethane adhesive for windshield installations, which usually requires a curing period. Typically, you should wait at least one hour before driving if the technician uses a fast-curing adhesive. However, if a standard adhesive is used, the waiting time may extend to several hours or even up to a day.
  • Weather Conditions: Environmental factors can also impact curing time. For instance, high humidity or cold temperatures can slow down the curing process. If the weather is particularly wet or cold, you might need to wait longer before driving your vehicle.
  • Manufacturer Recommendations: Always follow the guidance provided by the technician or the manufacturer. They will give you specific instructions tailored to the adhesive used and the type of vehicle.

Safety Tips for Driving After Windshield Replacement

Once you’ve waited the recommended time, it’s crucial to keep the following safety tips in mind before and while driving:

  • Avoid Sudden Movements: When you first start driving after a windshield replacement, avoid sudden stops or sharp turns. This can help prevent undue stress on the newly installed windshield and ensure the adhesive sets properly.
  • Mind the Speed: For the first few days after replacement, avoid driving at high speeds. High wind pressure can weaken the bond of the adhesive, so it’s best to take it easy until you’re certain it’s fully cured.
  • Avoid Automatic Car Washes: In the first 48 hours post-replacement, refrain from going through automatic car washes. The high-pressure water and movement could disturb the adhesive and compromise the installation.
  • Check for Leaks: After a day or so of driving, inspect the edges of your new windshield for any signs of leaks or moisture. If you notice anything unusual, contact your technician immediately.
  • Keep Windows Slightly Open: For the first few days after replacement, consider keeping the windows slightly open while driving. This helps equalize pressure inside the vehicle and can prevent potential issues with the adhesive.
  • Maintain Visibility: Ensure that your windshield wipers are functioning properly before driving. Clear visibility is essential for safe driving, especially in adverse weather conditions. If your wipers are worn, consider replacing them during the windshield installation.

Post-Replacement Vehicle Care

To ensure the longevity of your newly replaced windshield and maintain your safety on the road, follow these care tips:

  • Avoid Direct Sunlight: Try to park your vehicle in shaded areas or garages when possible, especially during hot weather. Excessive heat can affect the adhesive’s curing process.
  • Be Cautious of Road Conditions: After a windshield replacement, be mindful of the road conditions you’re driving in. Rough roads, potholes, and sudden bumps can create vibrations that might affect the new installation.
  • Regular Inspections: Schedule regular inspections of your windshield and its seal, particularly after harsh weather conditions. Early detection of potential issues can save you from costly repairs down the line.
  • Address Small Issues Promptly: If you notice any chips or cracks forming in your new windshield, address them immediately. Even minor damage can compromise the integrity of the windshield, so timely repairs are essential.

Conclusion

Driving after a cheapest windshield replacement Calgary is safe as long as you adhere to recommended waiting times and follow the necessary safety precautions. Understanding the replacement process and the curing time for adhesives is crucial for ensuring the windshield’s integrity and your safety on the road. By keeping these guidelines in mind, you can confidently navigate your vehicle after a windshield replacement, ensuring a clear view and a safe driving experience. If you ever have doubts about your windshield’s installation, don’t hesitate to contact the technician for advice. Your safety should always come first. When Should You Consider Taking a Car Accident Case to Court?

Car accidents are stressful enough without having to think about court. In most cases, settlements happen out of court, where both parties agree on compensation without a lengthy legal battle. But what happens when the settlement offered just isn’t fair? That’s when you may need to consider taking your car accident case to court.

So, how do you know when it’s time to go this route? Let’s break it down, and see where a Laredo auto accident attorney comes in to guide you.

1. When the Settlement Offer Is Too Low

Insurance companies often try to settle for the lowest amount possible. But what if the amount they’re offering doesn’t even come close to covering your expenses? Here’s when you should take a closer look:

  • Medical bills are higher than the offer: If your medical bills, rehab, and other treatment costs far exceed what the insurance company is offering, it might be time to take your case to court.
  • Long-term care is ignored: If your injuries require long-term or ongoing care and the settlement doesn’t account for that, you should push for a more fair compensation.
  • Lost wages aren’t covered: If your injury has caused you to miss work, or you’ll be unable to return to work, and that isn’t factored into the settlement, you may need to take the case to court.

2. When Liability Is in Dispute

Sometimes, the insurance company or the other driver’s attorney may argue that you’re partially or entirely at fault for the accident. If there’s a dispute over who caused the accident, going to court might be necessary to set the record straight.

  • The other party denies fault: If the other driver denies responsibility, a auto accident attorney can help prove liability in court by gathering evidence such as accident reports, witness statements, and expert testimony.
  • Comparative negligence: If they argue that you share some blame, it can reduce your settlement. Going to court allows your attorney to fight for a fairer distribution of fault.

3. When the Insurance Company Won’t Negotiate

Sometimes insurance companies refuse to negotiate fairly. If they’re dragging their feet, lowballing you, or outright denying your claim without reason, going to court may be your best option.

  • Unjust denial: If your claim was denied without a valid reason, a auto accident attorney can help you challenge the denial in court.
  • Bad faith tactics: If the insurance company is using bad faith tactics like ignoring your calls, delaying the process, or making unfair demands, it might be time to escalate the case to court.

4. When You’ve Suffered Severe Injuries

The more severe your injuries, the higher the stakes. If you’ve suffered life-changing injuries, the financial and emotional toll is far greater, and insurance companies often don’t provide fair compensation for catastrophic injuries.

  • Permanent disability: If your injuries result in permanent disability, the settlement needs to reflect that. A court case might be the only way to secure compensation that takes into account lost earning potential, ongoing medical care, and more.
  • Pain and suffering: Severe injuries often come with physical and emotional pain. If the settlement doesn’t include pain and suffering, a auto accident attorney can argue for fair compensation in court.

5. When Mediation Fails

Mediation is often used to avoid going to court, where a neutral third party helps both sides come to an agreement. But what if mediation doesn’t lead to a fair resolution?

  • Stalled negotiations: If mediation results in stalled negotiations or continued lowball offers, your next step may be to take the case to court.
  • Unresolved issues: If major issues like liability or compensation remain unresolved after mediation, the courtroom might be your only option.

6. When You Want Justice Beyond Compensation

Sometimes, it’s not just about the money. If you want the at-fault party to be held accountable in a more public way, or if the accident involved reckless or egregious behavior, a court case can provide a sense of justice beyond financial compensation.

  • Drunk or reckless driving: If the other driver was under the influence or driving recklessly, you may want to pursue a court case for punitive damages.
  • Seeking accountability: If the accident resulted in serious injury or death, taking the case to court can help ensure that justice is served beyond a financial settlement.

Conclusion: Know When It’s Time to Go to Court

Taking a car accident case to court isn’t something most people want to do, but sometimes it’s the only way to get the compensation and justice you deserve. Whether the settlement offer is too low, liability is being disputed, or the insurance company just isn’t playing fair, going to court may be your best option.

A Laredo auto accident attorney can help you make the decision and guide you through the process, ensuring that your rights are protected every step of the way. Don’t settle for less than you deserve—get the legal help you need to fight for what’s right.

The Impact of Driving Habits on Vehicle Longevity: 6 Tips for Adopting Practices that Promote Car Health

Your car is beyond being a means of transport; practically, it is something most of us can never do without. However, a somewhat ironic point is that many drivers do not realize how much habits on the road significantly affect the lifespan and general condition of automobiles. Similar to how a specific diet influences our health, the way a driver maneuvers his or her car is also instrumental in how the vehicle’s parts, components, and overall structure perform on the road and how long they will last. Getting to know these habits and making the right decision will help you spend less money, be eco-friendly, and use your vehicle for a longer time. In this article, let’s explore the driving behaviors that do count and learn ways to increase your car’s life span.

Understanding the Connection Between Driving Habits and Car Longevity

Any time that you start the engine, you go through a series of actions that either serve the car well or lead to improper usage. These minor habits range from how you start your car, the aggressiveness of acceleration, and many other factors that work their magic to either improve the condition of your car or cause a decline in its physical condition.

The Science Behind Vehicle Wear and Tear

Cars are complicated systems that work under a certain set of conditions. Excessive forceful acceleration, sudden braking, and a lot of stalling can result in increased stress exerted on vital parts of the car, including the engine, transmission, and the breaks. Because wear is based on the scientific principles of physico-chemical processes, drivers can adjust their driving behavior to bring about healthier conditions to their automobiles. Below are vital suggestions that you can use to employ driving techniques that will affect the lifespan of the vehicle.

  • Accelerate Smoothly

Quick starts may wear on both your engine and drive-train. Each stomp on the gas pedal requires much more of your engine to push you along at higher speeds, which can lead to all sorts of negative consequences such as reduced fuel efficiency and added wear.

Tip: To accelerate you do not need to apply force to the pedal; the best approach is to gradually press the pedal downwards. In addition to saving fuel, this method also lowers the amount of stress put on your engine and its eventual durability.

  • Brake Gently

Heavy braking will prematurely wear your brake pads, rotors, and tires. It leads to them taking more damage, and every sudden stop increases the probability of their failure due to all that additional friction and heat.

Tips: Plan for stops and slow down gradually. But if you know there is a stoplight ahead of you, let off the gas well in advance and use your brakes to slow down sooner rather than waiting until just before coming to a complete halt. This practice can double the life of your braking system.

  • Maintain a Steady Speed

Speeding up and slowing down frequently strains the engine and transmission. While on the highway, keep your vehicle at a constant speed.

Hint: If driving for an extended period, use cruise control to keep your speed constant. This not only improves fuel economy but also makes the engine easier to operate.

  • Perform Regular Maintenance

Yes, driving habits can have an impact on the health of your vehicle, but it is just as important to make sure that you are keeping up with regular maintenance work so you know your car will keep running smoothly in years to come. According to East Coast Towing, a towing company based in Raleigh, NC, a lack of basic maintenance could end up requiring an expensive repair down the line, getting your car towed, and may even have you stranded or facing far larger problems that would not be there if it was properly maintained.

Tips: Adhere to the manufacturer’s suggested maintenance manual for oil changes, tire revolutions, brake examinations, and liquid checks. These maintenance services are specifically put in place to ensure that your vehicle runs and drives properly. By doing proper maintenance, you can increase the lifespan of your vehicle and get maximum performance from it.

  • Stay Calm and Focused

Aggressive driving is not only dangerous to you and others on the road, but it can cause more wear and tear on your car as well. Driving styles that are high-stress (quick lane changes, sharp cornering; frequent acceleration, and braking) also create wear on vital engine/transmission/suspension components. This can be very hard on the parts and will simply speed wear out of parts which in turn means more costly repairs over time and usually a shorter life span for your vehicle.

Tip: Having a calm and focused mindset while driving can drastically benefit your safety as well as that of your vehicle. Doing this not only enhances how you drive but also the general well-being of your vehicle.

  • Use Quality Fuel and Fluids

Fuel and fluids used in your car are very important determinants of your car’s performance and durability. Using low-quality fuels may cause problems like engine knocking, low fuel economy, high levels of emissions, etc. Further, cheap oils and fluids do not offer enough protection to your engine and transmission and would thus cause faster wear and necessitate higher repair costs.

Tip: For the best performance, it is recommended that you use grade fuel recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. Also make sure oil, coolant, brake fluid, and transmission fluid are at their proper levels every time you are doing the checks.

Final Words

The way you drive has a huge effect on how long and well your car will last. Simple mindful practices like smooth acceleration and braking habits, combined with regular maintenance can make a huge difference to your car’s longevity just as much as its performance. Observing these tips in your driving style will not only save you hundreds of bucks on expensive repairs, and a lot more than just that in fuel costs but also be an environmentally conscious driver by reducing emissions. So start your engines, stay safe, and relish the open road ahead!
