JEFFERSON, GA (April 22, 2011) – It has finally arrived- Gresham Motorsports Park’s first race event of the season- the US Auto Sales 100!
April 23 is GMP’s season opening race and will be an action-packed night with fun for the entire family!
Tired of the typical Easter egg hunt? Well, GMP is changing it up! At 5:30 pm, a helicopter will drop Easter eggs and candy on the front straight away and as soon as everything clears, kids will then have the chance to dash to the pile and gather as much as they can! Blue Ridge Helicopters will also be offering rides before the drop from 2-5 pm for $30 per seat.
Dialed Action Sports BMX stunt team will be returning to perform some amazing tricks throughout the night and the North Georgia Men’s Quartet will be singing the National Anthem.
Trackside parking is one of GMP’s greatest assets and there is much more involvement being added to trackside for 2011. Wal-Mart is joining GMP to host “Battle of the Tailgates”. This is a competition between each trackside parking space to decorate and celebrate. Each race will have a theme and participants will be judged on three different elements and the winner will receive a Wal-Mart gift card and other great prizes will be awarded.
Trackside parking will also be catered to when they use GMP’s new text and deliver service. Anyone sitting in trackside parking will be able to text their order to the concession stand and have it delivered to them at no extra charge (tips are appreciated).
There will be lots of racing action as the Mini Cups, Renegades, Mini Stocks, Trucks, Outlaw Late Models and Pro Late Models compete in The US Auto Sales 100- the first races of the season!
Gates will open at 2 pm and opening ceremonies begin at 7pm.
Adult general admission is only $12! Kids 12 and under get in free with the purchase of adult general admission ticket.
