Trivia Question: (Answer below) In the recently released Universal Pictures action-thriller film Fast Five, how many different Dodge vehicles are featured?
ROBBY GORDON (No. 7 Fast Five/SPEED Energy Dodge Charger)
Turn Four: “We’re really working hard on getting our car to accelerate out of Turn 4 because the frontstretch is where you can really set up a pass down low into Turn 1. If you can’t roll out of the corner in (Turn) 4, you just loose too much speed and can’t get back into the throttle early enough.”
Power Hour: “Being able to put the power down is key. A lot of guys just can’t put their entire foot in the throttle out of (Turn) 4 and that’s not good. Late in the run, if you can power down on corner exit of Turn 4 and get to full throttle and stay to full throttle, that’s huge. Turn 1 is the best passing zone at Richmond.”
Tread Carefully: “You have to be able to save your tires for later on in the runs. You can get all the fuel mileage you want here, but if your burn your rear tires up getting off the corner, you’re going to be slow because you’ll have zero rear grip.”
Answer to trivia question: Four. 1970 Charger, 2010 Dodge Challenger, 2010 Modified Vault Charger, 2011 Dodge Charger Police Interceptor.
