KYLE BUSCH, No. 18 M&M’s Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing Finishing Position: 2nd How strong was race-winner Carl Edwards? “He (Carl Edwards) certainly had the best car tonight for sure. There were some areas that we got by him on some restarts, but then he was able to get a good one there on that last one and kind of got too far away from me. Just ran out of time catching him. I was getting there, but just didn’t get there soon enough. Can’t thank M&M’s, Interstate Batteries, Toyota — all the guys on this team. They gave me a good piece. We just made a slight change and that slight change was what we were looking for, but we needed a lot more than that and we couldn’t do it out here on pit road in order to beat him.”

Did you have a car capable of winning? “We sure did, but we finally finished one too. This was a good race for us. It made this a fun night for us. We came up a little bit short, but we got beat by a faster car. The best I could have done was something on a restart and I didn’t get a great one there — that final one, but I still kept up with him (Carl Edwards) a little bit, but he was just too fast. He got away from me and spread the gap too far. By the time I was trying to run him back down on the top side there, it just took me too long to get back to him. A few more laps, maybe I would have got him, but all you had was 10 (laps).”

Where was Carl Edwards better than you on the track? “I think he (Carl Edwards) was just so good through the corner and once he got his car turned
