Johanna Long NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Advance
Lucas Oil Raceway – Indianapolis
Race: AAA Insurance 200
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series: 13 of 25
Track: Lucas Oil Raceway
Johanna Long will take to the track in her No. 20 Panhandle Grading & Paving Toyota Tundra at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis on Friday, July 29 for the AAA Insurance 200. Live coverage of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) race will begin on SPEED at 7:00 pm EDT, with NCWTS Setup followed by live racing action. Fans can also tune into MRN Radio, beginning at 7:15 pm EDT, for live coverage of the event.
Lucas Oil Raceway – This will be Long’s second NCWTS start at Lucas Oil Raceway. The young driver made her debut last season at the .686-mile track, racing for Billy Ballew Motorsports. In her first ever NCWTS start, Long qualified 15th and finished 17th. She has also previously raced at the Indianapolis, Ind., speedway in a late model.
Johanna Long On LOR – “I am ready to race at Lucas Oil Raceway! My first Truck Series race was here last year, so it is extra special to be back here and racing for my team. Plus, I am excited to return to my roots and race at a short track again!”
Last Race Recap – Long and the No. 20 Panhandle Motorsports team raced at Nashville Superspeedway last Friday night. Although Long was happy with the truck in practice, her No. 20 Panhandle Grading & Paving Toyota Tundra was loose in qualifying and the early stages of the race. After picking up a vibration, Long was able to finish the race but issues with her No. 20 relegated her to a 26th-place finish.
Early to Indy – Long traveled to Indiana early for her trip to Lucas Oil Raceway, taking the time to head to Greenfield, Ind., on Wednesday, July 27, for an autograph session. Other attendees included NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Dave Blaney and his son Ryan, who races in the NASCAR K&N and ARCA Racing Series.
Marketing Opportunities – Long and the No. 20 Panhandle Motorsports team are currently seeking marketing partners for the 2011 NCWTS season. For more information on sponsorship opportunities, please contact Spire Sports + Entertainment or Panhandle Motorsports.
