A TUMS “FightS back fast”MOMENT
(For each of the 36 races during the 2011 Sprint Cup season, TUMS will provide a brief historical recap of a moment when a team fought back to overcome an obstacle, one that can easily be described as a TUMS “Fights Back Fast” Moment. This week, the focus is on Texas Motor Speedway).
‘A TUMS DAY’ FOR OTHERS TURNS INTO VICTORY FOR DENNY HAMLIN
The date was Nov. 7, 2010. In a race where Jeff Gordon went after Jeff Burton in a physical confrontation and Jimmie Johnson’s crew was yanked for poor execution, Denny Hamlin held off Matt Kenseth to win the Dickies 500 at Texas Motor Speedway.

While Hamlin was collecting his eighth win of the season, it was a disappointing, and sometimes tense day for others.
Greg Biffle dominated the race, but it was Hamlin who ran strongest in the closing laps.
Gordon went after Burton in a physical confrontation on the backstretch after the two were involved in a mishap. Gordon felt Burton had caused the wreck and showed his frustration by swinging at Burton amid harsh words.
After three bad pit stops in a row, crew chief Chad Knaus replaced his No. 48 over-the-wall crew immediately with the No. 24 crew of Gordon.
“At the beginning of the race we were struggling,” Hamlin said. “We couldn’t go anywhere. But as soon as nightfall came, our car just took off.”
