Kevin Swindell and Curb Records Partner with Venturini Motorsports

[media-credit name=”ARCA Racing Network” align=”alignright” width=”180″][/media-credit]Talladega, AL (May 3, 2012) — Germantown, TN native Kevin Swindell, son of legendary three-time National Sprint Car Champion Sammy Swindell has signed on with Venturini Motorsports for eight races beginning with the ARCA Racing Series International Motorsports Hall of Fame 250 at Talladega Superspeedway.

“I’m really excited to work with Venturini and finally get an opportunity to compete in the ARCA Series for a good amount of races. Having an eight race deal will give me an opportunity to get comfortable with the team and car instead of just showing up at the track and trying to figure things out as I’ve done in my previous series starts,” stated Swindell.

“As far as starting at Talladega I feel really comfortable with Billy (Venturini) and his team as these guys seem to have the restrictor plate stuff figured out. I expect to qualify well and start near the front.”

The 23-year old Swindell has run limited ARCA and NASCAR Nationwide races since 2008 and looks to gain more stock-car experience as he joins his new team for selective speedway and dirt races in ARCA Racing Series.

Swindell will drive the No. 55 Venturini-Curb/Anagaragian Motorsports Toyota at Talladega Superspeedway, Michigan Int’l Speedway, Pocono Raceway, Chicagoland Speedway, New Jersey Motorsports Park, Illinois State Fairgrounds, DuQoin State Fairgrounds and Kansas Speedway.

Swindell re-wrote the record books earlier this year after winning his third-consecutive Chili Bowl Midget Nationals Championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Chili Bowl is arguably one of the most prestigious Midget races of the year, a race synonymous with the famous Swindell name. Kevin’s father, Sammy Swindell, is a 5-time champion of the annual winter event.
