(MOORESVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA) July 31, 2012 – Jason Bowles and the American Majority No. 81 Toyota team are set to make the second trip of the season to the corn fields of Iowa this weekend for the US Cellular 250. Judging by Jason’s past success at Iowa, it is safe to say that he will be looking forward to the race on Saturday night.
Jason on Iowa…..“I always feel comfortable heading to Iowa and this weekend is no different. With the way our American Majority No. 81 Toyota has been running lately, it will be great to get to a track that I’ve had some success on before. Obviously the goal is still a top-10 finish, and I don’t see why that can’t happen this weekend.”
Jason’s recent performance…..Over the past eight races, Jason has outperformed everyone that is near him in the driver standings. His average finish over that span is 17th, better than Mike Wallace, Jeremy Clements, Tayler Malsam, Joe Nemechek, and Danica Patrick.
Past at Iowa Speedway…..Of all the tracks on the 2012 NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule, Jason has the most experience at Iowa Speedway. In six career K&N Pro Series starts there, Jason has three top-5 finishes with a career best finish of 2nd. Earlier this season, Bowles pulled double duty for MacDonald Motorsports, running both the Nationwide and K&N Pro Series races at Iowa.
Jason’s thoughts on Indianapolis…..“The car was really fast during the race. We just had that one bad set of tires that put us behind. I was really trying to hold on to that top-15 at the end there. I have to thank my guys for all of their hard work, American Majority and Wings Etc. for their support, and Randy MacDonald for believing in me as a driver.”
Employee Spotlight – Dan Brzozowski…..The car chief on the American Majority No. 81 Toyota, Dan Brzozowski, came to MacDonald Motorsports at the beginning of the 2012 season. Originally from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Dan has worked previously at Brevak Motorsports, Rensi Motorsports, and most recently at Venturini Motorsports. Now making his home in Troutman, NC, Brzozowski’s hard work and dedication to the race team is a huge reason for the recent strong runs from the MacDonald Motorsports No. 81.
Watch the race…..Fans can catch the race from Iowa Speedway this Saturday night, August 4th. The US Cellular 250 will air live on ESPN2 this Saturday at 7:30PM EST.
