Short Track Racing…Brandon Jones will make his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) start at Martinsville Speedway this weekend.Jones and his Exide crew are just coming off a test at Motor Mile Speedway and have high expectations for the young driver in his first start at the track known as the “paperclip.”

An Edge Up…The No. 33 will be sporting a throwback Exide paint scheme this weekend for the Kroger 200 at Martinsville Speedway. Exide Technologies, with operations in more than 80 countries, is one of the world’s largest producers and recyclers of lead-acid batteries. The Company’s global business groups provide a comprehensive range of stored electrical energy products and services for industrial and transportation applications. Transportation markets include original-equipment and aftermarket automotive, heavy-duty truck, agricultural and marine applications, and new technologies for hybrid vehicles and automotive applications. Industrial markets include network power applications such as telecommunications systems, electric utilities, railroads, photovoltaic (solar-power related) and uninterruptible power supply (UPS), and motive-power applications including lift trucks, mining and other commercial vehicles.

Last Time Out…In only his second career NCWTS start, 16-year-old Jones impressed many during the Fan Appreciation 200 at Iowa Speedway in September. With an 11th-place starting position, Jones settled into a groove and was looking to accomplish the goals he and his Wolfpack Energy Services team set coming into the weekend. Running inside the top 10 for part of the 200-lap race, Jones was gaining valuable experience racing around many series veterans. With just shy of 20 laps in the scheduled distance of the event, close-quarter racing caused Jones to come into contact with another truck, resulting in damage to his No. 33 Chevrolet Silverado. Jones was able to bring home a 20th-place finish, two laps down from the leaders.

Chassis Info…Turner Scott Motorsports (TSM) will bring chassis TSM-221 for Jones at Martinsville Speedway. This is the same chassis that Jones has run in his two previous NCWTS starts, at Bristol Motor Speedway and Iowa Speedway.

Get Your Sharpie Ready…On Friday, come and get an autograph from Jones and his TSM teammates during the NCWTS autograph session located in front of the main ticket office from 3:00 to 3:45 p.m. EDT.

Watch and Listen…The NCWTS returns to the track again this week when they take on the “paperclip” at Martinsville Speedway for the Kroger 200 on Saturday, October 26 at 1:00 p.m. EDT on FOX Sports 1. The event can also be heard live on SiriusXM Satellite Radio, channel 90 and MRN Radio.

“I can’t thank Exide enough for coming on board for this weekend’s race at Martinsville. I’m really excited about returning to the Truck Series once again this year. I feel like the last time out at Iowa, my TSM team and I were able to learn a lot. We were also able to get a test session in for this week at Motor Mile, so I feel like my Exide team will have a great truck prepared for this weekend’s race.”
