Hinchcliffe Set for Toronto TV & Radio Take Over

IndyCar Star Ready for Co-Host Duties on Breakfast Television & Prime Time Sports with Bob McCown

Toronto, Ontario (February 05, 2014) – As the 2014 IndyCar Series gets set to roar back into life next month, Andretti Autosport racer, James Hinchcliffe, heads back to Canada this week to put his co-hosting skills to the test on TV and radio.

The 27-year-old Oakville native, a three-time IndyCar race winner in 2013, will enjoy airtime this Friday, 7th February, appearing as a co-host on City’s ‘Breakfast Television’, Toronto’s top-rated morning show, from 7am to 9am EST.  Then in the afternoon ‘Hinch’ will appear as a co-host of ‘Prime Time Sports with Bob McCown’ on Sportsnet 360 and Sportsnet 590 The FAN, airing from 4pm to 5pm EST.

“I’m pumped to be appearing on both shows this Friday,” enthused Hinchcliffe.  “It’s always fun to be a guest but it’s probably a little bit more daunting taking on co-hosting duties on two of the number one shows in their slots!  That said, I know I’ll be in good hands on both shows and all being well I’ll keep everyone entertained and tuned in.”
He continued;  “I’m obviously looking forward to being able to preview the new IndyCar season, give my new sponsor’s United Fiber & Data and everyone at Andretti Autosport a bit of a shout out and then obviously manage my co-host duties to the best of my ability.  I’m sure I’m set for a fun Friday and my thanks go to everyone at Rogers for giving me the opportunity.”
Hinchcliffe, who’ll race the #27 United Fiber & Data Honda-powered entry in 2014 – his fourth year in IndyCar, is of course no stranger to the world of television, having been a guest on many shows since graduating to North America’s premier open-wheel racing series.
Prior to this he was also a regular in front of the camera as a pit-lane reporter for the A1GP Series, in which he also raced successfully, as well as having been a co-commentator for EuroSport covering the Champ Car World Series.
