EARNHARDT SET FOR RACE THREE AT VEGAS

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – It’s on to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for race 3 of the Nationwide Series season, and Jeffrey Earnhardt is ready in the Flex Seal Chevrolet No. 4.

“Las Vegas is a fun track,” Earnhardt said. “It’s fast. It’s kind of like Charlotte, but it’s not. Both are fast mile-and-halfs, but they’re different in style.

“I kind of struggled at mile-and-half tracks last year for some reason. Not sure why. I think there were just some missing setups and not really being spot-on when we got there.

“I know these guys ran great at places like that with Landon (Cassill) last year, so I know they’ll make sure we have a good package going into Vegas.”

The Boyd Gaming 300 is scheduled Saturday at LVMS.

Practice rounds are scheduled at 3:40 p.m. (ET) and 5 p.m. Friday. Qualifying, using NASCAR’s new “knockout” rules, is set for 12:40 p.m. Saturday, with the race scheduled for a 4:15 p.m. green flag.
