CASSILL SHOOTING FOR TOP 10

BRISTOL, Tenn. – Landon Cassill will have his eyes on the top 10 this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway.

With last week’s run at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Cassill moved into 12th place in the early-season Nationwide Series point standings. With a good finish in Saturday’s Drive To Stop Diabetes 300, the fourth race of the season, Cassill could break into the top 10.

“We’ve gotten off to a pretty decent start,” Cassill said of his JD Motorsports with Gary Keller Chevrolet team. “You’d always like better finishes, of course, but we’re hanging in there pretty well. Bristol is a track I really like, so we’ll see what we can do this week.”

Cassill has considerable experience at the half-mile bullring, having raced six times in the Sprint Cup Series and twice in Nationwide there.

Two rounds of Nationwide practice are scheduled Friday at BMS – at 1:40 p.m. and 3 p.m. (ET).

Qualifying is scheduled at 10:10 a.m. Saturday, with the race set for 2 p.m.
