May 15, 2014. Driver Joey McColm and Canada’s Best Racing Team are set to begin the 2014 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series this weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. The famed road course will be the sight of the opening round of the eleven race schedule and McColm is anxious to begin competition.
“We’ve built new cars, we’ve got a positive attitude and approach throughout the team and we’re excited about our prospects” said McColm.
Following several test days at the 2.5 mile track the #25 CBRT car is receiving the finishing touches to begin the season. And the look of the car this week will be an instant favourite among the fans. McColm will be piloting the #25 PartSource Toronto Maple Leafs car and can’t wait to hit the track.
“This is a dream come true, racing our car with the Toronto Maple Leaf on the hood. Such a wonderful opportunity and I can’t thank PartSource enough for partnering with us to make it happen”
Also racing under the Canada’s Best Racing Team banner this weekend will be Steve Mathews in the #87 TSC Stores car and McColm is happy to have two cars hitting the track this weekend.
“Anyone who’s seen Steve race knows he’s fast and it’ll be fun to watch him in the #87 TSC Stores car. This is a good opportunity for him and it’s nice to have TSC Stores and their preferred vendors coming together in this partnership”.
